I couldn't find the right thread for this, so I figured I'd just post here to avoid cluttering things up by starting a new one, if that's alright with everyone.
About six months ago, I noticed this hard, swollen lump right under both ears whenever I tense my neck. I'm pretty sure they aren't lymph nodes—I know what those feel like and mine seem normal. Aside from that, the only other symptom is this weird sensation when I eat; sometimes, right at the first bite, it feels like a sharp reaction, almost as if I’d just bitten into something incredibly sour. Because of that, I have a hunch it might be my salivary glands, so I thought I'd bring it up here.
Does anyone have any idea what this actually could be? I'm wondering if it's definitely the salivary glands, or if it could be related to some old tonsil issues I haven't had treated yet, which probably aren't in the best shape.
