Hey everyone... I’ve been dealing with some ovarian pain lately, and now I've noticed some white discharge. There isn't any unpleasant odor, though. I'm currently in the middle of my cycle... could all of this be connected? I'd really appreciate any advice. Every bit of help is welcome.

Everything is fine
Usually, those annoying odors you deal with are just the result of either some kind of fungus or an infection
In any case, you really ought to be using vaginal wipes about twice a year

Look, it might be nothing, or it might be everything.
When you're mid-cycle, you often get discharge because of ovulation—it's usually clear with some white or yellowish bits.
The next most common thing is Candida, which is that nasty, white, foamy stuff that makes you itch like crazy. A gynecologist can fix that fast, but both partners need treatment.
Discharge can also be a sign of an infection, which means you definitely need to see a doctor.
On the flip side, there are plenty of nasty diseases out there that can cause infertility or even death, and they sometimes don't even cause much discharge at all, so people just ignore them.
Bottom line: if you've got any weird discharge or pain, go see a gynecologist. And make sure BOTH partners get treated.

Nothing is bothering me at all, and I don't have any other symptoms either..... thanks Walter Myers4

Since I like to be thorough, it's already getting on my nerves, not to mention oral after penetration once everything comes out—that honestly just kills me.
By the way, man, don't you leave an unpleasant smell on her down there? 😘
Normal discharge usually doesn't have a bad smell. Maybe your girlfriend has an infection. (It doesn't necessarily mean she's cheating).

White discharge is just standard vaginal mucus. It tends to pick up around ovulation or right before your period starts. Usually, it’s clear or whitish, and it doesn't have any funky odor—just your natural scent. Honestly, most guys actually dig it.
If an infection kicks in (whether it's something passed around or just something that develops on its own), that mucus changes. It might get heavier, turn yellowish or brownish, and definitely start smelling bad.

Quick reality check: yeast infections aren't STIs. They don't have anything to do with your partner.

Yeah! 😍 It's pretty common for women to feel a little twinge in the ovary area during ovulation. That white discharge usually picks up right before you ovulate—it peaks on the day of ovulation and stays heavy for about a day after. It gets that stretchy, mucus-like texture, which is basically nature's way of making things fertile. 👋
Watch your step! 😈 🤣

WTF? 😲 🤣
White discharge is usually translucent, sometimes opaque, and occasionally just thick white stuff—definitely nothing with yellowish flecks.
🙈 🙂 ☕

I honestly thought we were finally going to have a conversation about how to wash whites, and I was already mentally preparing my response when...

White discharge is clear, sometimes cloudy, or even just white discharge without any chunky bits.
🙈 🙂 ☕
Why are you guys acting so shocked? That's just pieces of a dead egg. 😁🙄

placidfox55 said:Can I just drop a quick comment? Fungal infections aren't sexually transmitted... they have nothing to do with your partner...
Oh, come on, that’s total nonsense. If your partner doesn't even bother to brush their teeth before oral sex... then yeah, it absolutely matters!

Are we talking about a partner in the late stages of AIDS with a massive Candida buildup? 😕
No, yeast infections aren't transmissible.

Wait, are you seriously talking about a partner in the late stages of AIDS with a massive buildup of Candida? 😕
No, fungal infections aren't contagious like that.
Are you kidding me?
Look, some fungi are just a standard part of the vaginal flora and ecosystem. But then there are also fungi that live on a guy's junk that can absolutely migrate into the woman's system during sex.
I mean, how else do women end up getting yeast infections from a public pool or a toilet seat?🙄

This is becoming a massive headache... here's the deal: my girlfriend has a yeast infection, which you probably gathered from the title, but the real issue is that I love being intimate with her, and right now I can't because of the discharge—it smells and it's honestly pretty gross.
If it's just a mild case of white discharge, she could try taking Geonistin or using six vaginal suppositories; she'll just have to hold off on intimacy for about a week.
If there’s a noticeable odor, especially a fishy one, it usually means some nastier bacteria are involved. She really needs to see a gynecologist to get her flora tested so they can prescribe the right antibiotic.
I honestly don't understand why women find it so difficult to just go to the doctor.
