Could someone please clarify what people actually mean when they throw around terms like "troll" or "clone" here? I’ve noticed they’re used as pretty heavy insults.
From what I gather, using those labels can lead to someone being subject to Banning—as in, getting blocked or kicked off the forum entirely.

I'm still finding my footing on this board and, frankly, I’d rather not get booted before I’ve even had a chance to figure out how everything works.

Welcome to the forum.

You might find this information useful:

Internet troll

Banning is formally defined as either a permanent or temporary revocation of one's posting privileges due to violations of our community guidelines; once a user is under Banning, they are strictly prohibited from posting on the forum.

Clones refer to those individuals who attempt to circumvent a Banning by creating entirely new accounts after their previous identity has been revoked.

Thanks for the link.
It’s honestly pretty fascinating—and a bit surprising, too. I had absolutely no clue just how widespread this phenomenon actually is. There are even links to several related concepts, so I think I've found plenty of material to dive into tonight.
