How are you all surviving this heatwave?

My AC just died on me, so I’m basically playing the lottery right now hoping someone can come fix it soon. For now, it’s just me, a desk fan, and a glass of ice water.

You really need at least two AC units in a living space. I’m currently getting by with just one, thank goodness for 😁

If there isn't anything I absolutely have to get out and do, then life is pretty good. Honestly, air conditioning is probably the greatest invention in human history; I’ve never been much of a summer person because of the heat and the crowds, but as long as I can retreat to some AC at home, I can manage.

I don't have AC either, so I guess we can suffer together. At least the rivers aren't far away, though they're about as warm as piss right now.

Does that actually work with water?

Man, you wouldn't believe the absolute disaster happening at my office right now. The AC unit just completely crapped out on us. It’s been weeks since anyone's actually bothered to come out and fix it, so basically, everyone inside is just slowly roasting alive. It's getting ridiculous.

I usually head out to work early in the morning, and by then, it’s already hitting about 78 or 80 degrees out there. I can't stand running the AC; I'd much rather just crack a window open, at least during those early morning hours or maybe later in the afternoon when things settle down.

Generally speaking, water cooling works better during dry heat than when the humidity is high.

What kind of schedules are you guys running for GO? I’ve realized over the last two or three years that it actually works out way better for me if I spread everything out over a twelve-month cycle—basically, hitting it during the winter. Things felt way too high-pressure this past summer; I mean, having the beach right there makes it hard to stay focused when I just want to head out for an hour or two in the afternoon. Plus, winter has its own kind of vibe where it’s just easier to stay curled up inside rather than forcing myself to get up and grind through work when the weather is miserable elsewhere.

Living by the coast, I can't even remember the last time I bothered heading out for the annual Fourth of July festivities. It’s just not worth the headache anymore. Between the crowds and the oppressive heat, there’s zero peace to be found. I usually just wait until autumn or maybe aim for the holidays like Christmas or Easter. When I was younger, summer was the absolute best, but nowadays? I’d honestly sign a contract right now to move everything from July 1st to September 1st. Just let those two months vanish into thin air. 😬

It works. I just shut all the windows to get the room nice and cool, then I can switch off the fan for a while.

Down South, I'm strictly an autumn and winter person. Give me the mountains and the hills, and I'm happy.😁

The only thing you’re actually waiting for is Wilder retiring and then watching Fury vs Joshua or Usyk fight to unify all the belts.

Nah, Fury’ll probably just retire first once he's had enough to drink and blow his mind on drugs...

Dude, just face facts—it's over with Wilder. His era is done, and he's never going to see a belt again.😉

That fight against Fury is gonna be the last one of his career.

Don't worry about the trolls; just report any post that breaks the forum rules if it bothers you.

So what? They're all my friends! Sure, they talk nonsense sometimes, but it's fine by me. Honestly, I don't even remember the last time I had a real argument with Zabogijem.🤔

I'm not going to report anyone—that's just not how I roll. I prefer to handle things face-to-face.☕

For God's sake, you've been dragging out these marathon debates about Hrgović forever.
Even if my take on him is way more favorable than yours, it doesn't really matter—different perspectives are the whole point of this forum.
Look, I’m with you on the Fury and Wilder stuff, but you're missing the forest for the trees here.
Writing endless blog posts or just endlessly chatting isn't how we do things on this board. You probably realized by now that trying to flip the majority's opinion on certain topics is a losing battle, which leads back to that pointless chatting. Eventually, it just turns into insults, everyone else gets fed up and walks away, and then you two or three end up hijacking the entire thread—which is totally unacceptable.
Clean up your act a bit.

Oh yeah, I did forget the whole Fury debate thing. And I also forgot I got into it with Olivia Lopez78 at the sportsbook.🤣

That’s just who I am—I’ve got a bit of a temper.☕ I know I can’t force anyone to change their mind, but I’ll never get tired of pointing out when they’re wrong.😁

For example, I could tell bonecrusher3 a million times that Fury is better than Wilder, and I still wouldn't get bored of it.☕

panther-1989 said:It drives me absolutely crazy when someone claims to follow boxing but can't see the massive gap in quality between Fury and Wilder. Seriously—you’re just manufacturing a fake rivalry that isn't even there. Fury is three levels above him...😉

Three levels up? Man, if that isn't trolling, I have no idea what is... seriously. How old are you anyway?

I just can't stand it when people start talking trash about Furyu. It hits a little too close to home for me... I'm pretty sensitive about that stuff.☕

And also you were just talking trash about DW—nothing at all...

Honestly, screw everyone in the boxing world. I haven't even processed yet that the fight was postponed.🙂
