Because those two photos aren't even from the exact same split second. In the photo on the right, William Gallas has already jumped into the net, which is why his leg—which is already mid-air instead of planted on the ground—is closer to the line. It’s just a matter of hundredths of a second. And if the goal were actually legit, you'd see it instantly on any standard video replay.

Look man, no offense, but I think you're overthinking this. They ARE the same moment. And honestly, who even cares? On the REAL photo, you can clearly see where his foot is, and the other one is definitely inside the goal unless you pulled six ribs out of him and hid them under your pillow.☕

I think Juventus FC is going to take this one. I heard David Trezeguet is finally back in the lineup—though hey, maybe I've got that wrong—and they’ve had a full week off to prep. Plus, they always seem to play their best when they're in Chicago. Either way, aside from Real Madrid vs Barcelona, this is easily the biggest domestic clash of the year.
