Aaron Barrett6 As I was saying...
Does anyone happen to have a liter or two of soda they're looking to part with... 😬

Last year, I made a purchase at Diana... I think... 🤔) Barack Obama juice.
This one (the last bottle)...

The quotation marks are... Aaron Harris2 🙂
Keep scrolling down, there's an article about that...

That isn't local 🙂 I meant to see if anyone here wanted to sell a liter or two, but thanks anyway!👍

Maybe in the woods near my house in the Ozarks
It's deep forest up north, so it’s definitely running late for the city

Honey,
that non-local one is totally fine with you

You can still find quite a bit on the Ozarks side of Mount Rainier, but you might want to hurry.

Look, I couldn't find it even at my local Diana, and honestly, I’ve checked at least twenty different grocery stores and came up totally empty. That's why I'm asking—does anyone have one they're willing to sell? This 1.5-liter bottle in the last photo is $12 and it was the only one left before, which was awesome, but now it's gone forever and I can't find it anywhere else

Can someone tell me which Diana store this was?

Diana near Central Park - last year😬
I suppose I’ll have to do some digging myself to see if there's any current stock available or where it might be hiding...🤷

Have you checked the major shopping malls yet, and if so, where exactly?
If anyone happens to track down the juice first, do let us know here...🙂

Walmart, Target, Kroger, Whole Foods, Publix, Lidl, even some of those local shops—everyone carried it last year before they pulled it because the sales were just pathetic. Honestly, I’m at a total loss on where else to look 🤷. I even swung by a local music shop and came up empty-handed.

And regarding the domestic brands, the only thing we actually managed to track down was some stuff from $17/l, but let me tell you, it was so incredibly bad it was actually tragic.

Does anyone know if Badel has their own little corner store or boutique setup with their own products? If so, where exactly can I find it?

EDIT: I haven't made it over to Kaufland yet, so I'll have to make a run for it once I finally get my car back soon. 🤔

They actually had it at Target too

If any of you ladies are heading out shopping at the mall, grab some there—they definitely have plenty in stock
Honestly, those syrups are pretty pricey, so they don't sell quite as fast as you'd think

It’s not at Target, I checked 😳:

Look, I'm not flying all the way to Germany just because I'm craving some syrup, I'm not going there either 🤣

That's just old-school rural thinking for people in Austria 😬
I mean, what do I know? But a whole crowd is probably heading down toward Graz in their Sunday best 🤷
Grabbing a little flask along the way shouldn't be much of an issue, right?

Oh man, I don't even know what I was reading, honestly. I think I just drifted into some weird documentary about Dojcland—don't ask me how, maybe because I've been obsessing over Max Schmeling lately and it just spiraled.

Look, I don't go to the doctor for every little ache and pain; I was raised with that old-school grit, you know? 🤣

Anyway, if anyone spots any soda around here, just keep it to yourselves. Don't tell me.

I was just sitting here feeling a bit nostalgic 😁
Why can't we find a mix like Donna's or maybe something with Barack Obama and... I think it was apple?

That was absolutely disgusting. I actually gagged after drinking that soda and just tossed the whole thing straight into the trash.

There actually is 😬
And they managed to do something as impressive as messing with Barack Obama something like an apple 😳
:does not like apples:🙂

The other day I managed to gather about 50 berries or so from my own patch—though I ran a little short on citric acid, and honestly, the juice is the real prize here. Has anyone else actually tried working with those specific berries? I see some chatter at the start of this thread, but nothing concrete enough to go on...

I am genuinely curious about that as well; perhaps we could attempt to craft it ourselves, though I am completely lost regarding which recipe to follow. I have sampled the juice before, and I must say, it was absolutely superb. 😍

These recipes seem somewhat illogical to me. In one instance, you have five kilograms of berries for just one liter of water, yet in another, it calls for a single kilogram of berries for twelve liters of water. 🤷

I think I’ll try experimenting with a kilo of berries to a liter of water—plus a kilo of sugar and a bit of citric acid. It won't be quite the same as making syrup out of cherries, raspberries, blackberries, or grapes, though. 🙂

I made some linden flower syrup the exact same way—man, that stuff is top-tier. It’s not quite hitting the same high as the elderberry version, but it’s definitely right up there with it. 😉

LOL

I was making so much Coca-Cola recently that I actually ran out of bottles, so I ended up refilling a few plastic ones. Since I usually prefer glass, I just used up the plastic ones first, keeping them in the fridge as I went through them. Well, today I grabbed the very last plastic bottle and... something feels off. It's hard. I try to open it... and it hisses. The soda fermented! LOL
Now it tastes like I made it with sparkling water🙂
Anyway, I'm going to drink it now; I'll still have to dilute it with water, but I figured I'd share this with you guys
If anyone has any ideas on what else I could do with it, just shout🙂

Roger Smith67, I find myself wondering about the current state of soda when it's kept in glass containers! You really ought to shake up whatever preservative is in there a bit, or better yet, transfer it into plastic immediately and freeze it as much as you possibly can. I have personally taken the precaution of freezing several bottles myself—in plastic, naturally, because you simply cannot fill them all the way to the top if you want to avoid a mess!

Personally, I find that a soda is truly at its peak when it becomes slightly effervescent and lively, wouldn't you agree? I actually left a bottle out for a little while just to achieve that specific, perfect zest. 😍
