Come on guys, we can actually pull off a win once in a while 😁

I guess my game is alright. Not great, but not terrible either. My technique is pretty solid and I can hold onto the ball well, but man, I’m slow... just don't feel like running much 😁. Accuracy? It depends. It jumps up 40% when playing on turf, but drops by 80% when we're out on those bumpy local parks fields 😁

I’m definitely not a defenderβ€”half the team just knocks me over easilyβ€”so I usually play midfield or striker. I can get by there using some dribbling, but I really need to work on my finishing
.
Alright, that's my breakdown. Now you guys 😁

That’s why you have Kafka in your profile picture. Kafka wasn't a soccer player, so don't try to be one either.πŸ™‚ 😁

I was never much of a defender myself. I always played offense; I had my moments, but the second two or three guys closed in on meβ€”well, if they actually knew what they were doing, I wouldn't even be on the field. My dribbling consisted of two moves: 1. Sprint left then snap hard right, and if they don't fall for it, pivot back left immediately until someone breaks a leg (people call that the "dad move"). 2. Just run like hell and pray you're faster than the guy chasing you. Zero technique there. Still, I scored some goals that people still talk about today.😁

I can play just about any spot on the field, but I’m always looking to push forward. I know how to find the back of the net, though some days I just can't buy a goal to save my life. I'm pretty lean, but my technique carries me through. There might be a few better players on this forum, but honestly, I doubt it. 😁 πŸ™‚

I knew he’d dazzle people. It wasn't even about his technical skillβ€”it was just pure speed, stamina, and those killer long balls. 😁 That’s why I prefer playing on bigger soccer fields. I usually play center or defense; if I get stuck onto someone, their efficiency just tanks. They can dribble all they want, they can sprint, but one slip-up? Boom. The ball is gone from under them. Clean, too, no fouls. 😁 I’m pretty solid in goal, too.

Back when I used to dribble, I’d try that Ronald Reagan move where you hop over the ball, but honestly, I lost possession more often than I actually beat anyone. But man, when a move actually worked? Pure magic.

Since I'm playing on the junior varsity squad... I suppose I'm decent enough.πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚
We might consider scheduling a game; I'd likely reserve my spot at right back.😁 If you insist, I could play forward as well.😁
My technique is somewhat reminiscent of Materazzi's, though I imagine my speed, strength, and sheer willpower compensate for that.😁 😁

I used to play in the minor leagues.
Now I'm stuck in the third tier.

I guess I'm the top dog on this forum, which means πŸ™‚

I play midfieldβ€”usually just a number ten.

Sometimes I end up at striker, or maybe just playing center back. πŸ™‚

Since it’s mostly guys in this group, I’ll take a spot on defenseβ€”I’ve got a knack for being quick on my feet and making those sliding tackles... 😁

well, look, there might be a few people slightly better, but honestly, there are way more people who are way better, so basically everyone else is just outclassing me anyway.πŸ˜‚

Hard to imagine anyone playing worse than me😁
I'm slow, I lack any real technique, and I spend the whole game just playing defenseβ€”though I guess being locked in and holding my position decently well is the one thing I do okay.

All things consideredπŸ‘Ž

lol...😁 😁 😁

I usually play a bit more of a supporting roleβ€”my technique is basically zeroπŸ˜β€”but like I always say, "if you can outwork them, you win." Especially since I'm playing with my head (mostly because at 5'7"... :-))

My one big advantage is that I just run like crazy. Once I get going, the only thing that might stop me is someone like analogjackal71πŸ‘ 😁

What kind of stupid wordplay is that even supposed to be? Saying "I'm black, I'm white" is like saying😁

I guess some of you guys picking usernames after soccer players just haven't quite caught on yet, though I'm not sure why it's so hard to get,😁 😁
let me break it down for you, it's basically a play on words if you think about it like this:
some players are just a little bit better, while others are way better. You feel me? πŸ‘‹

There have already been a few attempts at that IMF betting pool that branched off from the old one.
Baklja, any news on this yet?

How would you rate my game?
I might be a bit slow on the draw and my technique isn't exactly textbook, but I make up for it with my positioningβ€”it’s like my passes have eyes of their own😁.
I see myself playing as a defensive midfielder.

Oh, and I should mention, I'm pretty solid in the air.

So, there you have it.πŸ™‚

I used to play right wingβ€”man, just saying that makes me realize I played a lifetime ago, since nobody even uses that term anymoreβ€”mostly because I was always one of the fastest guys on the field.
Then one day, some absolute maniac playing like he was Materazzi or Gattuso comes flying in with both feet, totally wipes me out, and effectively ends my soccer career right then and there.
Fast forward to now: I’m a referee, so I figured I’d step up and offer to officiate our forum match for free (though, I guess, I wouldn't say no if someone's buying the first round of beers 😬).

I’ve always been about as coordinated as a newborn giraffe when it comes to soccerβ€”which basically meant I was relegated to playing goalie whenever I actually stepped onto the field...
I suppose I much prefer basketball...
