When you use those creams long-term and constantly dip your fingers into them, your hands can pick up bacteria—and even harbor the virus itself. Honestly, just toss the old jar. When you get a fresh one, be smarter about how you apply it; I’d recommend using a Q-tip instead of your fingers. Just dip it once, apply, and then throw the swab away.
For disinfecting the area where the herpes has broken out, you might actually find something more effective than standard rubbing alcohol. Octenisept spray is quite good because it targets bacteria, fungi, and certain types of viruses simultaneously.
As for boosting your immune system—specifically to fight off herpes—taking B-Complex vitamins and Vitamin C can really help. Since they aren't dangerous, you can take higher doses right when you feel an outbreak starting to help shorten its duration.
Thanks to everyone for the help... there have been plenty of solid suggestions here... but for the record, I haven't been using the same old jar for two years.😁😁😁
I actually went down to the local pharmacy, and the lady there recommended 🤣🤣 Sikapur gel...
It costs $13 and honestly, it works wonders... it really is the real deal.😁😁😁
And naturally, I picked up some Vitamin C chewable tablets as well.🙂
