Hi everyone, I’m currently on my 9th pack of birth control pills. Since I haven't been sexually active this month, I accidentally missed two pills last week right before starting my break.🙄
I know, it was pretty irresponsible of me, but it just happened.

However, when my break finally arrived, I didn't experience any breakthrough bleeding. Could that be linked to those missed doses, or is it something I should actually worry about? Given that I haven't had sex, I'm ruling out pregnancy.
Usually, my cycles have been very regular while on the pill. 🤷

I was just wondering if it might be somewhat normal for my period to be late by almost two months after I stopped taking birth control pills? Like, my first cycle was only about a week late, but this next one is running nearly two months behind schedule, I guess? And just to mention, I haven't even had any sexual intercourse, if that makes a difference at all.

I was wondering if ovarian pain could be caused by birth control pills... I'm on my third pack now, and sometimes when I take them, I feel this ache in my ovaries... I haven't really noticed any other side effects, though.
I guess since I'm also dealing with an E. coli infection in my bladder and vagina, maybe that might be what's causing it too... 🙂 I honestly don't know what else to do or how to finally get rid of this. 🙂

Hey everyone, does anyone know which birth control pills might be better to switch to? Since starting Yaz, my mood swings haven't really improved at all. I find myself just grinning like an idiot for absolutely no reason.😢

It’s certainly possible that it's just the pill itself. For me, I always experience that specific ovarian pain during certain days—usually right when I'm nearing the end of a pack. It lasts for a few days and then just fades away, right before the break begins.

Urgent advice needed!!!
I’m supposed to take my first pill tonight after a break, but I can’t get my hands on it because today is a holiday. To make matters worse, the local 24-hour pharmacies won't sell it to me without a prescription—even though I’m already registered in their system at my usual spot. So, what should I do? Would it be okay to take one tomorrow morning and then the next one tomorrow night instead? I’m really stuck here. When exactly should I take it?? Thanks in advance! 🙂))

You can start taking them tomorrow, but I guess you should definitely use some extra contraception during that first week if you're planning on having sex.

Hey, so I headed out this morning to pick up my Cilest pills...

.And then comes that annoying shock...!!!!!
They’ve been pulled from the shelves under emergency orders... apparently they aren't allowed to be sold anymore because of some irregularities!! I was supposed to start my first dose today, but she just told me I need to check with my gynecologist to find an alternative... She didn't want to say too much, but from what I gathered, there's an issue with how the substance dissolves...

Hey ladies! 🙂 This is my first time popping in here, and I actually have a quick question... So, I usually take Logest, and the standard price is normally $27. But then, just the day before yesterday, my aunt was at the pharmacy and they sold them to her for only $14?! Now I'm wondering—are there any other girls here taking this who got it at that lower price, or is it possible she just got mischarged? 😁 😁

I was just browsing news sites and saw a report saying one of the two hormones in the pill wasn't dissolving properly, which means it might not be providing enough protection :O I really hope none of you end up dealing with an unplanned pregnancy because of this.

Hey everyone! Just popping in to say hi. Hope you're all having an absolutely killer week so far! ☀️ kaže:
Hey girls, does anyone know which birth control pills might be worth switching to? I’ve been on Yaz for a while now, but these mood swings just aren't letting up. I feel like I'm randomly cracking a huge smile at nothing one second, and then totally spiraling the next. It's getting a little exhausting! Any suggestions? 😢

Honestly, Logest has been a total game-changer for me so far. I’ve been on them for about eight months now, and I haven't gained a single pound. As for the curves, my chest hasn't exactly exploded or anything—maybe a tiny bit, but honestly, only my boyfriend has even noticed! :P
I was looking for some birth control options that wouldn't totally wreck my hormone levels—you know, something that actually works to change my body without making me feel like a completely different person—but still gets the job done. A friend recommended these to me, and honestly? They’ve been amazing. I haven't dealt with any weird mood swings at all, and they’ve been a total game-changer for me. 😉

Oh my god, what?!
Since when did this happen? I bought a three-month supply just two months ago, so I still have one pack left—what am I supposed to do with it? Is it just a specific batch with a certain expiration date, or is it every single pack?

Excuse me???🙂
Look, I've been taking Cialis for years and I honestly haven't noticed any difference in how they work.🙂
Is the active ingredient just hitting slower lately, or has it always been this underwhelming?
I’ve only got seven tablets left before I run out. Does this mean I need to head back to the doctor for a new prescription?

I’m just reading an update from ExxonMobil. As a precaution, they’ve recalled every unit manufactured after January 2011 (mine was made in December 2011), and so far, the defect has been confirmed in the next two series, BAS4S and BIS2Z. Mine appears to be BK94LOO
God, I’m calling my doctor today.😲

I can finally say goodbye to Cilest! The price was actually pretty reasonable for me, and the best part was that I didn't deal with any side effects at all...
So, I’m looking for some advice on what to switch to now. Looking through the comments, it seems like Logest is a solid option?
Cilest was costing me about $20... does anyone know if there are similar options in that same price range?? Also, I’m a little unsure about how to take the other brands. Is it the same routine—taking 21 pills and then having a week off??? Thanks in advance! I'm feeling a bit confused right now (I’ll definitely do my own research, but I'd love to hear some first-hand experiences from you guys)

Lindynette goes for about $3. You can get weaker or stronger versions, and yeah, it's the same 21+7 routine.

Ugh.
Mine were made in May 2012, batch number CES2J00.
Those pills were perfect for me. My skin cleared up, I finally gained those few pounds I needed, my appetite was great, and I had zero pain.

Does anyone know which other pills work about the same?
I thought about Yaz, but it's just too expensive—$43 is what a box costs as far as I know—and Cilest is 150, but that’s for three packs.

EDIT: Now I'm reading the Triquilar thread. Would you guys recommend switching to that after Cilest?

Here’s something that makes zero sense to me. I called my gynecologist yesterday to ask about the Celest recall, and they were completely clueless. They hadn't received any notification whatsoever about it being pulled from the market. So, I decided to walk over to the pharmacy myself, and wouldn't you know it? They haven't heard a single word about a recall either.😢
Afterward, I called five or six more pharmacies across Los Angeles, and everywhere I rang, they had it in stock like nothing was wrong. It was the first time anyone had even heard of this situation.
I honestly don't know what to make of this. I can go out and buy it right now because every single pharmacy in the city is selling it, and my doctor says the exact same thing.
The official notice has been sitting on the FDA website for seven days already. Who is actually running things here?🙂

I'm currently on my third pack of Qlaira, and I've already started spotting—just hit the 14th pill. Does anyone remember if this happened last time too? Back when I was on my first pack, I didn't get any bleeding at all. I’m planning to head to my gynecologist toward the end of this pack, but I wanted to see if anyone else here has dealt with something similar.
I’m guessing this specific hormone level just isn't doing it for me... This is actually my third different brand (I tried Yaz, which was a bust, then moved to Yasmin, and now I'm here with Qlaira), and honestly, I’m getting pretty tired of this trial-and-error phase. I'm starting to wonder if jumping from one to another like this is even a smart move...

Hi 🙂

Could anyone here tell me if they've had any success using Lindynette for acne or just generally improving a rough complexion?

I'm currently on Yaz, but honestly, it’s starting to put a serious dent in my wallet. To be fair, I'm also a little hesitant about switching brands; my skin is actually doing alright for now, and I really can't face going through that whole acne nightmare all over again.😢
