I know, but I just can't bring myself to mess around with trying things if there's a chance it'll leave me feeling even worse than I do now... Anyway—did your sister drink anything else besides Yaza?
Google spits out all sorts of stuff—honestly, I’ve mostly found positive comments about Logest on forums and things like that—but then you run into these articles that aren't exactly singing the praises of those fourth-generation pills... I don't know, I'm just feeling a bit lost on this one (that's why I'm asking!)

She was on Yasmin, but that's basically the same thing.

If you're dealing with major issues from the yeast infections, give it a shot. And look—if they end up being absolutely terrible, you can always switch back to Logest.

Hey there.
So, I just started on birth control. My doctor put me on Novynette—just a standard checkup, nothing fancy, no extensive bloodwork or anything like that. After the second pill, everything went sideways: nausea, vomiting, anxiety, depression, the shakes... all of it. It lasted about four days before things settled down. But then, it hit me again right around the 12th or 13th pill. Now, I’m dealing with daily nausea, depression, and anxiety. Most mornings, I end up throwing up just bile because my stomach has already processed whatever food I ate, so there's nothing left. Yesterday, a massive headache joined the party. I've finished this first pack, and now I'm stuck in that seven-day break, wondering if I should even bother continuing given how miserable this feels. Honestly, getting back in to see my OB-GYN isn't going to be easy right now. What do you guys think? Is it even remotely normal to feel this sick every single day? Are these pills just a bad match for my body? Should I keep going? 🤷

It’s definitely not safe, honestly. You really need to call your doctor and get to a gynecologist. Just read the instructions on your pill pack—they always list which side effects mean you should stop taking them and see a professional immediately. I guess some mood swings are considered "normal," but clearly this isn't working for you. If your body is reacting this intensely, it’s probably not the right fit, and there's no point in poisoning yourself. Go see a specialist and tell them exactly what happened. We aren't doctors here. Good luck.

Hey everyone🙂
I need to switch up my contraception ASAP. I've been using condoms, but I've developed a nasty allergy to them, so I'm looking into the pill. The issue is I can't get a prescription until November because my GP insists on a Pap smear before prescribing anything. He won't schedule it any sooner since my last one was clear and they want to stick to the yearly interval.

Can anyone PM me which pharmacy in the city carries birth control without a prescription (ideally something affordable) just to get me through these next 2-3 months? For context, my hormone levels and blood work have always been fine, and I don't smoke.
I'm 27.
Thanks so much.

Hey everyone, I have a question... I'm 27 now. Around age 20—mostly because my cycles were a total mess—I started taking Yasmin for birth control. I only lasted three months before quitting because they made me vomit constantly. After that, I switched to Triquilar, which was actually FANTASTIC for about a year. However, once that year passed, my breasts started hurting incredibly, incredibly, incredibly badly for no apparent reason; it got to the point where even wearing a bra was painful, let alone touching them. I stopped the pills then and didn't take anything for five years. Now, I've decided to go back on the pill because my cycle is still pure chaos (it always has been). I talked to my gynecologist about everything before he prescribed Belara. I mentioned the breast issues I had on Triquilar, and he told me it’s called "mastodynia" or something like that. He said the pills can cause it. I'm currently on my second pack of Belara, and I haven't had any major side effects except that I'm feeling that exact same breast pain again. My breasts feel extremely sore, heavy, and swollen. I know this is supposed to be an adjustment phase, but the pain feels much different than it did during the first pack. I'm honestly terrified that I'll have to quit these pills too if this keeps up, because I really, truly do not want to go through that again. Has anyone else dealt with something similar?

😢
I'm asking because I saw some girls on another thread saying they were never asked for a prescription at certain private pharmacies... so I figured I'd check here. 🙂

Hey everyone, quick question—does anyone know if taking Vitamin B50+ might potentially interfere with the effectiveness of birth control pills? I guess I'm just wondering if there's any chance it could lower how well they work.

Hello ladies, I have a question. I’ve been using the Evra contraceptive patch for four years straight now. I haven't experienced any side effects, and my blood work and cycles remain perfectly normal. I'm wondering, if I decide to stop using Evra, what should I expect? Will my cycles become irregular? Essentially, what kind of adjustment period am I looking at? Thanks!

What happens if you throw up about four hours after taking a pill? (Like, just a little over four hours have passed). I guess it might be enough time for it to get absorbed, right? My issue is that it’s this final week of treatment and I feel like I'm going to lose my mind, especially since I haven't taken another dose yet—given that I'm right on the edge of what the instructions say, and there's no way in hell I'm calling the doctor at three in the morning...

So, I’m 16, and yeah, I have a boyfriend, but we’re nowhere near having sex or anything... Honestly, my period cramps have been absolutely brutal since I was 11. They’re usually super regular, but this month they showed up a whole week early... I’ve been taking Neofen Forte—not an ad or anything, just what I’m stuck with right now, ugh—especially on the first day because that’s when everything just feels impossible. After that, I just take them whenever I need to.
My mom is pretty much done watching me suffer through this and constantly popping ibuprofen, so she’s mentioned sending me to a gynecologist to see about getting on the pill. But I don't know... I have NEVER been down with the idea of taking pills, hormones, or any of that stuff. It’s just that right now, I’m barely able to crawl from my bed to the bathroom, let alone make it through half a day at high school. I’m honestly just lost on what to do...
What do you guys think? Should I actually go, or just keep suffering through it? Hoping someone sees this... thanks so much in advance.
Also, I posted the exact same thing in another thread, but figured this one might be better since it’s newer and maybe more likely to get some replies.

Ugh, I know exactly how you feel. For me, that first day before the bleeding even starts was the absolute worst—the cramps, the constant need for painkillers, being curled up in bed for a week straight... it's everything. You aren't alone in this. You could go for a checkup, get some blood work done, and maybe a coagulation test to check how your blood clots. From there, a doctor might suggest hormonal birth control. Personally, I've been using contraceptive patches for four years now, and it's been a game changer; my cycle is regular, lasts about five days max, and comes every 25 days like clockwork. Definitely talk it over with your mom and a doctor, especially since you have a boyfriend; if things ever progress to sexual intercourse, you won't have to worry about timing your cycle.🙂)

I have a question.
I finished my last Cilest pill on Monday and went to see my OB-GYN today to get a prescription for something else, since they don't make Cilest anymore.
The instructions say you shouldn't take a break when switching between two different brands, which I obviously did because I had no idea. Can I start taking Logest now instead of waiting until Monday—which would have been when I was supposed to start my next pack of Cilest anyway?

Does anyone have any actual experience using Estrofem tablets?
I was prescribed them because I’m on Qlaire, and by the twelfth pill, I start getting this bleeding that just keeps going until the pack is finished... so my doctor suggested switching to Estrofem for seven days to stop the spotting, then cycling back to my regular pills once I finish the course. I’ve been reading through the instructions, and honestly, nothing is clicking; I don't see myself in any of the descriptions of the women they actually recommend this for. I’m 22, and before she handed me the prescription, she didn't even run any tests or check my bloodwork. I’ve decided I’m just going to power through this current pack first, and then I'll look into trying something else.

Why are you taking them? Is the bleeding not stopping or something? They literally saved my life last year.

Seriously? For me, the bleeding starts around the 12th pill and just keeps going until I finish the whole pack. It’s not exactly a disaster, though—I just carry a liner around since it doesn't get too heavy... How did you handle it?

Is it actually possible for breasts to shrink because of birth control instead of growing? 😢 It’s happening to me right now—no clue why. I’m not on any diets or anything weird; the only change is the pills. I’ve been taking Novynette for nearly a year, everything else seems fine, but then I notice this. I feel like I'm the only one dealing with this—everywhere I look online, people are claiming they gain two cup sizes. 🤷

I've been on Lindynette 20 for about six months now. A few weeks back, I noticed my left nipple started turning this purple/blue color. It isn't constant, but most of the time, it stays that way. Has anyone else dealt with anything similar while taking different birth control pills?😢🤷

Ugh, I’m seriously sipping on this stuff right now and honestly? It’s just way too weak for me. Like, total letdown. 🙂 I think I’m gonna have to switch gears and find something else entirely. Does anyone out there have a solid recommendation they could drop? Just in case someone asks me for a suggestion later!
