Has anyone here actually cleared up their acne or body breakouts using pills? How long did it take before you saw any real progress, and how long until they were completely gone?

No luck here—after eighteen months on Yaz and six months on Logest before that, nothing changed.
My OB-GYN mentioned that Yaz is specifically effective for skin issues and that plenty of dermatologists prescribe it for that reason... though whether that’s actually true remains to be seen. I’m just on my first pack—fingers crossed this works.😁

Hey everyone, I was just wondering, what kind of experiences have you all had with Lindinete tablets?

Regarding that—do you honestly think pills could just make fear vanish...?
Condoms and birth control pills—they both count as reliable protection... if you use them right.
Maybe—if we’re only talking about two instances a month—it isn't worth dropping that much cash on pills... unless you find some that qualify for insurance coverage.

Personally, I prefer pills—they make me feel secure, zero worries... whereas with condoms, there's always that nagging thought: what if it slips, or breaks, or something else entirely? But that’s just my take—someone else might feel the exact opposite... I suppose it all comes down to habit. 😁

I never really felt secure on the pill myself. For instance, 😁 Em used to feel sick all the time, and her cycle was a complete mess, usually showing up halfway through the third week or something like that.

If you're only having sex twice a month, I don't think there's any real need for it, but if it makes things easier for you, go for it...

I’m not sure if you realized there is already a dedicated thread for this, but regardless... they work okay for me. No major side effects, though their impact is almost imperceptible... nothing really seems to be improving much. The only thing is that those tiny comedones have cleared up, but my skin is still a total disaster, which is what I mentioned over in that other thread...

On another note, I wanted to ask something... I’ve been reading that Logest and Lindinet 20 actually have the exact same ingredients, and apparently, since Logest requires a prescription now, it ends up being cheaper than Lindinet. Does anyone know the actual price difference? I’m currently paying $12 per box for Lindinet.
Also, regarding the composition... I saw a girl mentioning she had taken both Lindinet and Logest, and yet she had completely different reactions to each one?? 🤷

And one more thing... why did my doctor tell me six months ago when I first started them that Logest isn't being produced anymore? That it was discontinued? Because I see some of you all are still taking it...😕

Hey everyone, I wanted to ask if anyone else has noticed an impact on their hair quality while taking the pill?
Basically, I’m not sure if it’s just a coincidence, but ever since I started birth control, I’ve been experiencing more hair shedding. On top of that, I have naturally curly hair, but lately, my curls seem to be losing their pattern and becoming much straighter. 🤷

I’m really not sure what the underlying cause might be. Has anyone else here dealt with similar changes while on hormonal contraceptives?

I wonder if we ever truly stop seeking validation from people who don't even know our middle names—or perhaps, more accurately, those who only see the polished version of us we present to the world. It’s a curious thing, isn't it? We spend so much energy curating this digital persona—this carefully constructed facade—only to feel a strange sense of emptiness when the "likes" start to dwindle. Are we performing for an audience, or are we merely trying to convince ourselves that we exist? It feels like a quiet, constant cycle—almost meditative in its futility. kaže:
Does anyone here feel like these pills have actually impacted their hair quality? I’m curious—has anyone noticed a change, for better or worse?
I'm not sure if this is just a coincidence—though I can't help but wonder—but ever since I started taking these pills, my hair has been thinning quite a bit. On top of that, I’ve always had naturally curly hair, but lately, over the last few months, the curls seem to be fading away, leaving it much straighter than usual. 🤷

I’m not entirely sure what the underlying cause might be—so I was wondering, has anyone else experienced this while on medication?

Sure, pills can definitely affect your hair—but honestly, you should be looking to minimize hair loss rather than worrying about anything else. As for whether they change your curl pattern? I couldn't tell you—I'm just not sure. 🤷

I’ve been on Yaz for about a year now. Honestly, at first, things actually seemed to get worse—it took maybe six months just for my skin to settle down... But I’m pretty happy with where I am now. I get maybe two breakouts a month at most. And, well, I’m still using Triacneal, so I guess I should probably give some credit to both the pills and the cream...

Hey, can someone help me out here?

So, I ended a long-term relationship about two months ago, and I’m down to my last few pills. Now I’m stuck wondering if I should just keep going or quit. I was only taking them for birth control because I was in a serious thing, you know? If I stop now, is that actually bad for my body? Maybe I'll start back up again next year, and then it's just this whole cycle... but honestly, I might not even have a new boyfriend anytime soon, and I really don't feel like being on them for no reason.🤷

Taking breaks isn't always great for your system—especially if you skip a few months only to start right back up again. Your body essentially has to go through the adjustment period all over again, which can be a bit much.
Ultimately, it comes down to how you look at it. If you think you won't need them for, say, another year, then stopping now might make more sense. But there's the flip side—what if you take a break and then suddenly find yourself needing them again in just a month? In that scenario, it probably would have been better to stay consistent.

It won't happen in a month, for sure.. and if I end up in a new relationship, I guess I'll need some time before things get to that point where it's actually time for something like that, then maybe it'll be better to quit drinking..

I have been taking Diane for about eleven months now. My skin has definitely improved—those angry, red inflammatory breakouts along my jawline have finally subsided—but it hasn't been a total transformation. I’m still dealing with daily breakouts; some clear up quickly while others seem to linger indefinitely. Even though these pills are specifically prescribed to regulate hormonal acne rather than just for contraception, I still haven't achieved perfectly clear skin. I plan to switch medications in about a month, and frankly, I can't wait to see if something else works better.🙂 😁

Ladies, how are we all doing with cellulite?
Have any of you noticed it getting worse since you started taking birth control pills? It feels like such a cycle—you try to get healthy, and then suddenly, this curse just flares up. How on earth are we supposed to actually tackle it?

I’ve cycled through a bunch of different pills before, and honestly, none of them really hit the mark mentally. Now I’m on these ones that actually work for my head, but man, they are absolutely killing me in other ways—the weight gain is just unreal.

Is there anything I can even do about it, or should I just pull the plug and stop taking them altogether?

My complexion actually got worse since I started the pill. 😢 Before this, I didn't have any issues at all, but now I'm just covered in these rashes. To be honest, it feels more like an allergic reaction or some kind of stinging irritation than actual acne. Totally weird. And I'm definitely not a fan. 🙂

I started taking Diane to see if it would finally clear up my skin. The protocol was straightforward enough—take the first pill on day one of my period, finish the pack, take a seven-day break, and then restart the cycle on the eighth day. Well, I followed those steps to the letter, and during this supposed seven-day hiatus, my period hasn't shown up once. Now I’m staring down the barrel of starting a brand-new pack tomorrow, and I'm left wondering: how is it possible that nothing happened? Am I actually going to get my period at all?

I'm wondering what actually happens if I just stop taking the pill—like, if I don't start a new pack after my break—and I happened to have unprotected sex on, say, day 7 of that break? This is purely hypothetical for me, obviously... I’m actually planning on quitting even though I’ve only been on them for about a month. Is that even a smart move? I've started imagining symptoms and getting all paranoid, and honestly, I just feel like I don't really need them anymore. And one more thing—I'm in my break right now waiting for my period, so once it actually shows up, can I be absolutely sure there's no pregnancy?

Hello everyone, I have a bit of a situation I’d like to run by you... I’ve been on birth control pills (specifically Lindynette 20) for just over two years now, and I usually take them at noon. For the longest time, my withdrawal bleeding would start right around the 24th day of my cycle—usually late Friday night, around midnight. That was my consistent routine. However, over the last three or four cycles, things have shifted. The bleeding now starts about twelve hours later, typically around noon on Saturday instead. On top of that, whereas my period used to wrap up by day 28, it’s now lasting a day or two longer than it used to. I'm feeling quite confused by this sudden shift in timing and would be so grateful if someone could help me understand why this might be happening.

Maybe you might be under some stress lately... hm... I haven't actually started taking them yet myself, though... I guess I wonder if you've noticed any issues with cellulite or changes in your appetite?
Personally, I’m quite against using those pills, so I went ahead and got a prescription for something else that’s just sitting there... right now, if anything comes up—like needing a condom or if my partner isn't feeling it—then we just don't have sex at all.😂
Even though I suppose the pressure is probably much lower when you are on the pill... those side effects just seem to be absolutely overwhelming for me...

Honestly, looking in the mirror today, I’ve realized that my cellulite hasn't changed one bit since I was younger. It’s still right there, exactly where it used to be. There’s something about those days when you think you've finally "conquered" a beauty standard, only to realize that skin is just skin, and it doesn't always follow the rules we set for it. I'm learning to be okay with that, though. 😳
I don't have any side effects or changes to report.

My doctor gave me a referral for some blood work so I can start on birth control. I guess I wanted to ask if any of you have HPV and are currently taking pills. Thanks for the help.
