Anyone here ever messed with their cycle to push their period back by a week?
I really want it to show up a week later than usual because right now it’s hitting at the worst times during June and August when I definitely don't need it.
I did a little digging online and I think this should work, but I'd feel way better if someone could actually confirm.
Once I finish this pack, can I just keep taking them for another week before taking a break and then starting a whole new pack?
And do I need to use extra protection during that time?

I think it’s enough to just skip the break after this pack and jump straight into the next one—you know? And, from what I gather, you won't even need extra protection since you're on the pill the whole time anyway... šŸ™‚

Wait, did you guys see that? Seriously. My heart is still racing. Just when you think things are settling down, boom—total chaos. It’s wild how fast everything changes. Honestly, I’m just sitting here trying to process it all. Anyone else feeling this way or is it just me? Unbelievable. kaže:

I thought about it, but then my period's gonna show up a week earlier next month (once this new pack kicks in), and that’s just not happening. It'll clash with stuff I've already got scheduled, and honestly, I can't deal with that mess.
Honestly, if there’s any way to pull it off, I’d rather just push it back a week. Like, if it's even possible to get her a week later than planned, that would be huge. šŸ•ŗ

Is there anything more elusive than the truth we seek in these digital spaces? It feels like we’re all just chasing shadows—searching for clarity in a world that seems designed to keep us guessing. Does anyone else feel that constant, quiet pull toward something more substantial? kaže:
Could I just keep going for another week after finishing these boxes—maybe push through one more stretch—and then finally take a breather before starting up again? With a whole new box? — honestly, it makes you wonder if we’re just resetting the clock entirely.

So, does this mean you're just going to "toss" a blister pack with 14 pills left in it? šŸ¤”

Andrew Morales4 said:Hi there,
I’m dealing with PCOS, and I’ve been prescribed Logest to help manage it. My main goal here was to clear up my skin, because honestly, I’ve been struggling with breakouts for quite some time now. However, I’m currently on my fourth pack, and I haven't seen much improvement. In fact, during the third month, I dealt with an absolute nightmare of acne—nothing like I’ve ever experienced before. It has finally calmed down a bit, but I’m feeling pretty anxious about whether this current pack will actually make a difference. Is it normal to still be in this "adjustment phase" with birth control, or should I have started seeing real progress by now? A few years back, I took Bela, and my skin cleared up within about three or four months, though I didn't have these massive flare-ups at the time. If you were in my shoes, would you be scheduling an appointment with your gynecologist to discuss switching to a different brand?

When I first started on Logest, about two weeks in, I was absolutely slammed with these deep, inflamed cystic acne spots all over my back, chest, and jawline—I mean, I’ve never seen anything like it in my life. Everything finally leveled out after the second pack, and my complexion was honestly flawless; everything was totally clear.
I did have a bit of a setback recently, after being fine for about a year, but thankfully it wasn't as catastrophic as the first time and cleared up after just one pack. If I were you, I’d probably hang in there for another month or two just to see how things settle before making any drastic moves.

I mean, I won't just dump them right away. I'll probably keep them as a backup for a few months. Honestly, life gets crazy sometimes and I realize at the last second that I need a new prescription, so they might actually come in handy.
Even if I do toss them, whatever, it is what it is. šŸ¤”
I just wanna know if it's okay to shift things around—like, if I finish the whole box and then end up only having one week's worth left before taking my break—and if doing that messes with the protection.

Oops, my bad. Totally misread that—I thought you were saying you wanted the week to start early today... šŸ™ˆ

Honestly, the only thing crossing my mind right now is that you should probably just extend your break for another week... maybe give yourself some breathing room... šŸ¤”
I mean, I don't even know how smart that move is—and honestly, you’d probably need extra protection anyway. Maybe just check in with a gynecologist first?...

Wait, what happened there? Just a single name. You gotta give me the actual post, friend! I can't work my magic if there's nothing to rewrite. Send over the text you want me to flip and I'll get on it. Ready when you are. kaže:

The only thing popping into my head right now is... just take another week off. Seriously. šŸ¤”
I mean, I don't know how smart that move actually is (and even then, you'd probably still need extra protection). Maybe just go talk to a gynecologist?

Ugh, honestly, I don't think extending the break is such a great call...
I pushed it just a little bit further. Looks like I'll be fine if I just stick to this for one more week, then finally take a break.
The only thing they’re saying is that spotting might happen over the next month or two if the period gets pushed back. But mostly, people mention it if things get delayed by like two weeks or if you just power through another whole pack without taking a break.
Really hope I can dodge this thing since it wouldn't even be moving for another week. šŸ˜›

It’s all good—I was just curious. šŸ™‚
I’d handle it the same way; there’s no reason to rush them straight into the trash.
And even if they do go, like you said, it’s honestly not a big deal.

Extending the break to two weeks—well, I don't think I would risk doing that without extra protection. After all, that basically means delaying the start of a new pack by a full week.
Just do whatever you originally planned.
And yeah, from what I understand, spotting mostly happens when you skip the pill-free interval—though it doesn't always have to be the case.

I think spotting gets brought up as a possible side effect whenever you're messing around with pills—at least if I read the instructions right. Though, obviously, it doesn't have to happen at all...

Hey there.

So, I've been on Lindynette for about 11 months now. I’ve always been on the thin side, mostly because I spent my childhood constantly fighting off E. coli and those annoying bladder infections—still dealing with them today, honestly, just easier to handle now. I'm turning 20 soon and I'm barely sitting at 110-112 lbs at 5'6". I was taking B complex and some immune supplements, which actually helped me bump up from 100 lbs to 110 lbs over five months. Now, my appetite is totally back to normal and I'm eating plenty, but the scale just won't budge past that point. Should I maybe switch to a stronger birth control pill? Think that could help me put on some weight?

Thanks, everyone.

Does anyone actually take Estal? Because I’m currently on them. My doctor prescribed these right after I finished a year of Yaz, and frankly, I haven't seen any improvement regarding hair growth. To be honest, I only agreed to the switch because the price was nearly half, which was a relief since I'm currently unemployed. I've been taking them for six months now and still see zero progress on that front. It’s been bizarre—whenever I stop by local pharmacies, they act like they've never even heard of Estal; if I'm lucky, they might have a single box in stock, otherwise, I have to order them. I spend way too much time scouring the internet for any info beyond the official leaflets, but there’s nothing out there. I genuinely feel like I’m the only person on the planet using this stuff. 😢 I think once I run through this current prescription, I’m heading straight back to Yaz. Or, better yet, can anyone recommend something that actually works for this nightmare chin hair situation? The daily plucking is driving me absolutely insane. That’s why I begged my doctor for a hormone panel, but she refused, claiming there's no point in testing when the only real "cure" is a constant cycle of expensive esthetician appointments and birth control. I’m even starting to worry that this whole mess might impact my ability to have kids later, though she insists there isn't even a connection between the two.

Does anyone here have any experience with Qlaria tablets?
This is my first time ever taking hormone pills, so I’d really love to hear some firsthand accounts regarding this specific brand.

Ladies, I have a question for you: has anyone here taken a break or just stopped hormone therapy for a while, only to start back up on the exact same pills later? And if you did, were those same pills—the ones that worked fine before—somehow different once you restarted after the hiatus?

To make a long story short, I was on hormones for three years; first Yaz (which I took for about a year and a half and it just didn't sit right with me), then Cileste (which I only had for a month before they pulled it from the market), and finally Triquilar. I never really dealt with any symptoms on Triquilar, aside from some hair thinning for a little while, but that cleared up pretty fast. Eventually, I decided to stop taking them because I foolishly thought my ovaries would just start functioning perfectly on their own without all these synthetic hormones, plus the idea of being on hormones constantly for three years felt like too much. That’s when I took a four-month break, and that’s when everything went sideways. I ended up with a cyst that ruptured so violently it practically burst my entire ovary; I suffered internal bleeding and ended up in emergency surgery because I had nearly bled out. Since then, I've been back on the pill, and I’m strictly forbidden from stopping until I’m actually ready to try for a pregnancy...
Anyway, even though I'm back on the very same pills (Triquilar), I have this nagging sensation that they're affecting me differently now. My appetite has skyrocketed and I find it incredibly difficult to control my cravings, especially during PMS, which absolutely never happened before. Thankfully, I work out, so I haven't packed on massive amounts of weight, but I still don't feel like myself at all. 😢 On top of that, I’m dealing with skin breakouts that just won't budge. My hair is a constant mess, and I'm dealing with this weird finger curling issue that honestly makes me want to cry... I'm just exhausted and have zero motivation for anything...
Has anyone else experienced this—where the "perfect" pills suddenly feel different after a break? Do you think this might settle down eventually? Or is it possible the pills aren't the culprit and this is all just in my head, tied directly to stress? Because since that surgery, it feels like one disaster after another has piled up; my immune system tanked, a family member fell seriously ill and we almost lost them, then there was a car accident, and then the sheer stress of college exams failing me lately... All of this happened within a single four-month window. Now, I truly can't tell if these symptoms are coming from the pills or the overwhelming stress. Please, I need your opinions or advice—has anyone else dealt with this specifically regarding their medication? šŸ˜•

Honestly, I feel like you probably used them because of stress back then (since they worked better for you), but you can always just ask your doctor for a different prescription.

Unfortunately, I’ve never heard of those specific pills. I used Yasmin back in the day—not for hair issues, mind you—but while I was on them, I didn't even realize I had body hair. Once I stopped, though, it practically exploded overnight.😲
If your hair growth is truly severe, I believe Diane is among the strongest options, and there are also anti-androgens available (like Androcur).
Have you seen an endocrinologist yet? Do you actually know what's causing the hirsutism?
Don't just settle for your doctor's dismissive answer; you shouldn't have to stay on birth control for the rest of your life. Demand those hormone tests. Just make sure you aren't on the pill when you go for the bloodwork, or the results won't mean anything.

I’ve been on Yaz for about three years now, and honestly, I’m starting to look at my bank account and wonder if I can switch to something a bit more budget-friendly. But my gynecologist—who, let’s be real, can be pretty stubborn once they set their mind on a specific brand—keeps insisting that these are the absolute best option out there. Has anyone here actually made the jump from Yaz to something else? Just so you know, I’m taking them specifically to manage endometriosis.

Look, I stopped taking them after about a year and a half and switched over to Triquilar. And let me be perfectly clear—this wasn't some financial decision on my part; it was because they absolutely did not work for my body. Every single cycle while I was on Yaz, I dealt with this constant spotting, and when my actual period finally arrived, it would drag on for sixteen days straight. It was relentless. Between the bleeding and the spotting, I was basically living in sanitary pads. When I brought this up to my doctor, she gave me that classic, patronizing line about how I just needed to wait a few more cycles for my body to "adjust." Well, I eventually lost my patience and told her quite bluntly that I wasn't waiting any longer; I had already waited eighteen months, and if my body hadn't adjusted by then, it clearly wasn't going to happen, so she needed to prescribe something else immediately.
As for you, there is a very real possibility that those cheaper alternatives won't sit right with your system either, which would just lead to a whole new set of headaches, so honestly, your best bet is to go back to your specialist, lay out the facts regarding the cost, and demand they find an alternative with a hormonal profile that closely mimics what you're currently taking.

Looks like I’m not the only one. I recently started my first birth control—Lindynette—thinking the whole "spotting" thing would just be a few drops here and there. Instead, it’s like this constant trickle almost every single day... you know, like when it’s getting dark at the end of the day but there's still some light left? I'm stuck wearing pads constantly, plus dealing with all the PMS symptoms. šŸ‘Ž One of the main reasons I even decided to go on the pill was because my PMS used to be absolutely brutal—it would totally wreck my mental health—and now everything feels even worse. I honestly don't know how I'm going to survive these three months while my body supposedly "adjusts." I've been feeling incredibly depressed, getting these sudden, sharp headaches right in my forehead out of nowhere, and I'm so irritable that I'm constantly snapping at people close to me. My skin is breaking out like crazy too, just like it does right before my actual period. 😢

Like that other user mentioned above, my gynecologist wouldn't even bother checking my hormone levels. He basically didn't believe me about the excess hair growth—which is one of my biggest issues—even though I doubt Lindynette is actually going to help with that. I'll try to tough it out until autumn, but if things don't improve, I'm going to demand he prescribes something else.

How birth control pills affect breast and uterine cancer development (latest research):

Birth control pills (turns out) are carcinogenic:
Shocking evidence from the world's largest study

Oral Contraceptives and Cancer Risk

An institute in Lyon:
Dr. Zdenko Herceg, a specialist there specializing in molecular biology and genetics, pointed out that this is the biggest study on the planet, tracking half a million healthy people over 20 years. They used blood, plasma, serum, urine samples, and even froze everything in liquid nitrogen. This led to thousands of papers, including this specific study covering 11,000 women who developed breast tumors in the meantime.

They analyzed what was happening inside their bodies before the tumors showed up. Basically, they looked for genomic and epigenomic signatures that reveal risk factors. In the women who got sick, there was a clear "signature" left by smoking, alcohol, certain diet habits, hormone therapy, and oral contraceptives.
