Hey, has anyone dealt with their period coming early while on the pill?

Here's the deal: I'm on Lyndinette 30 and my last pill is this Sunday—so I should be getting my period next Wednesday, right? Well, I've had this light spotting for five days now. At first, I just figured it was typical breakthrough bleeding... but then it turned into a full-on heavy flow. Started cramping yesterday too, so yeah, feels like the real deal.

Honestly, I’m lost. The only thing I can think of is linking this to my diet and workout routine—I've dropped 5 kg in the last 8 days. Anyone else ever gone through something like this?

5 lbs in 8 days? 😲
That sounds like it could definitely be the culprit—though usually, symptoms from losing weight that fast show up as a missed period rather than an early one... but who knows.🤔

I haven't been on the pill for that long—only about a year—but my OB-GYN warned me at the start that after taking them for a few years, things can get weird. Like, you might bleed mid-pack or skip a month entirely. Maybe that's just what's happening with you.

Any chance you missed a pill by mistake?

It also seems logical to me that intense workouts and sudden weight loss would cause a missed period, not this.

I've been on mine for eight years, and every single month for all eight years, it's arrived right on time... down to the hour.

I haven't missed a single one—that's the first thing I checked.

I don't know, I'm no genius. I'm waiting until next week to see if it shows up—then at least I'll know if this was just some breakthrough bleeding, and then I'll head to the doctor to figure out the cause. I had a checkup exactly a month ago and everything was fine.

P.S. As for the baby, I know it sounds extreme, but I'm not starving myself or falling apart—so things are good.😉

This might be a bit off-topic, but honestly, dropping 5 kg in a single week is just way too much, even if you feel great in the moment. Please watch out for your heart and don't mess around with stuff like that. 😲

Hey everyone, I’m looking for some advice or maybe just someone who’s been through this before.

So, here’s the deal: I’ve been taking Novynette—this is my third month on it. For the first two months, everything felt totally fine; I didn't experience any side effects at all.

About a month ago, I dealt with a kidney infection and had to go on a course of antibiotics. I actually finished up the meds right around the time I started my second pack. That month went by without any issues, too.

Now, I’m on my third pack, somewhere around the eighth pill, and a few days ago I noticed I’ve started urinating more frequently again (though nothing seems off with the color or smell). On top of that, I’m getting these sharp, stabbing pains in my kidney area, along with this strange sensation like my liver is hurting, and I also tend to get some chest pressure.

I’m not sure what to make of it—could this be a side effect from the medication, or is it possible that my kidney infection just never fully cleared up? 🙄 🙄

Personally, I don't think this has anything to do with medication—in my opinion, it was likely just a sudden fall.
You should go see a doctor.

Hey.

Got a question. So, I deal with constant bladder infections and my doctor put me on Nifur, which I need to take long-term—like six months. I'm also on birth control (Lindynette 20). The Nifur instructions say it can mess with how well the pill works, and I’ve been digging through threads online where some people say you definitely need extra protection, while others say you don't. If anyone's dealt with this before, thanks a ton.

Best. 🙂

Does anyone actually know which part of the cycle you're supposed to draw blood during? (I’m currently in that gap between packs.) Or does it honestly not even matter? I totally blanked on asking my sister—I always get all flustered the second I step into the doctor's office...🙄

I don't know why everyone acts like they've discovered fire when they stumble onto something basic. It’s like watching someone celebrate finding a twenty-dollar bill on a sidewalk in Chicago—sure, it's nice, but let's not pretend it's a life-changing miracle. You see these people constantly overcomplicating things that are actually quite straightforward, wrapping simple truths in layers of unnecessary noise just to feel important. It’s exhausting to watch. If you have to spend ten minutes explaining why a concept is profound, you probably haven't grasped it yet. Just say what needs saying and move on. Life is too short for all this performative depth. kaže:
Does anyone know if the timing actually matters for when they draw blood? I’m currently in that gap between boxes in my cycle. I totally blanked on asking my sister about it—I always get all scrambled whenever I step into the doctor's office. 🙄

It really depends on what you’re pulling from the lab. If we're talking about hormone levels, that’s a big deal—that’s the core stuff. But if it's just a standard blood count? Honestly, it's probably not worth sweating over.

Thanks! For the blood work, though, last time they made me give a urine sample too, and honestly, I have no clue what they're actually looking for in there. God, I feel like such a total hillbilly for even asking this... 🤦 Anyway, I'll just wait until this little blood spot clears up; I'm not sure if it would mess with the urinalysis...

Has anyone actually tried pills with
0.1 mg levonorgestrel and 0.02 mg ethinyl estradiol? I’m thinking about ordering them online and wanted to see if there are similar brands on the US market so I can look up reviews. I'm currently on Yasmin, but these would be like 60% cheaper than what I pay here and 75% cheaper than what I pay back home, so I'm trying to figure out if saving the cash is worth the risk 😬.

I am reaching out because I could really use some guidance. I have been taking Yasmin, and my intention was to skip a period entirely. To facilitate this, I continued with my current pack of Yasmin so that I would experience my cycle today—which, given my specific health circumstances, is something I am trying to manage quite carefully. I still have approximately ten pills remaining from that second pack I used to bypass the bleeding.

I am feeling completely bewildered and rather anxious because I have actually started bleeding. Years ago, I successfully skipped a period when intended, but this sudden development has left me feeling totally unsettled and unable to sleep.

From what I can gather—and please correct me if I'm off base here—something like that is actually a fairly common occurrence when it comes to skipping 🤷

I have truly never experienced anything quite like this, and I find myself in a state of genuine shock because the crux of the matter is that I completely overlooked her, which means she will undoubtedly be included during the next intermission.🤔

Found out which ones they are—Legravan and Microgynon. Anyone here actually used these before?

Hi there,
I’m dealing with PCOS, and I’ve been prescribed Logest to help manage it. My main goal here was to clear up my skin, because honestly, I’ve been struggling with breakouts for quite some time now. However, I’m currently on my fourth pack, and I haven't seen much improvement. In fact, during the third month, I dealt with an absolute nightmare of acne—nothing like I’ve ever experienced before. It has finally calmed down a bit, but I’m feeling pretty anxious about whether this current pack will actually make a difference. Is it normal to still be in this "adjustment phase" with birth control, or should I have started seeing real progress by now? A few years back, I took Bela, and my skin cleared up within about three or four months, though I didn't have these massive flare-ups at the time. If you were in my shoes, would you be scheduling an appointment with your gynecologist to discuss switching to a different brand?

Hey everyone... I've been taking Trinovum for years now. I actually tried to take a break from it recently, but the ovulation pain was just too intense. Anyway... yesterday, on my ninth day of being back on the pills, I noticed some blood when I went to the bathroom. I went to see my doctor, and he told me to just keep an eye on it today and tomorrow to see what happens. It doesn't actually hurt, but I'm definitely starting to panic. Right now, it's tapering off—just a few little spots. Has anyone else gone through this? I'm 34.

So, what’s the deal with Lindynette 20? I just got prescribed my first pack of birth control—so I'm curious (yeah, I know there's a whole separate thread on this, I'll get to it later)... how does it actually work, besides the obvious protection part? Like, does it do anything about excessive hair growth, or is it too weak for that sort of thing?🙂

stupid question; regarding that "nearly 100% effective" claim—what does it actually mean when they say you have to take the pill at the same time every single day? like, does that mean roughly around 5 (maybe giving myself an hour of wiggle room), or does it seriously have to be exactly at 5 every single day?🤷

"Around 5 o'clock," said the guy, if you think it’s actually an issue...
