Have another one and you won't even need extra protection; you'll just end up taking 20 this month instead of 21, based on the calendar. And you still have to stick to that usual 7-day break.

And everyone keeps telling me there's absolutely no way I can have just one more.

Hmm... I suspect the hormones were likely absorbed from the pill within that timeframe.
I don't believe there is any need to take another one. You should be sufficiently protected through to the end of the pack, whether you use a condom or rely on withdrawal.😁

Since that happened to me, I haven't touched another one! I actually checked the instructions just to see what I should do if it ever came up again. Plus, I used backup protection until my cycle ended

I was at the gynecologist, and they told me I should take my pill right away.

And then, after a seven-day break, I start taking them again. So, since I’m technically one pill short right now, should I count my break starting from the last pill I actually took, or should I wait eight days from that point?

By the way, it’s only been about 35 to 40 minutes—not even a full hour yet.

If he told you seven days, then it’s clearly been seven days since that last pill. Basically, your cycle is just shifting by a day
that's just my logic working overtime...

There’s a seven-day break in the schedule, which means you can start drinking on day eight.
It's perfectly fine, really, almost as if you hadn't missed a single beat.
Though, if I may be so bold as to suggest, please do make sure to use some extra protection.

Is having my period while on the pill a guarantee that I'm not pregnant?😕

I just took my second pill from a new pack. I used the previous pack correctly, but I totally messed up the one before that. I didn't start on Sunday like I usually do; instead, I took the first one Monday morning around 11 AM, and then had to take the "Monday" pill again at 9 PM because the local pharmacy was out of stock...
After that messy pack, I got my period. And after this second pack too—just a few days ago. This time, the bleeding was heavier, bright red, and full of clots.😕 Does that count as a guarantee that I'm not pregnant?

I'm asking because lately, I've been feeling inexplicably exhausted and a little lightheaded...😠

Jesse Cruz, you aren't pregnant. You caught your period right on schedule. As for that exhaustion, the forecast looks pretty grim, and honestly, given this weather, it’s perfectly normal to feel run down. You aren't alone in that. Don't go jumping to conclusions about pregnancy over every little thing!

It’s not funny to me... based on everything I’ve read on this forum, it’s entirely possible to have a normal period while on the pill and still be pregnant...
For the last five days, I've been sleeping until 1 PM, and when I finally get up, I feel completely exhausted, like I've been out digging ditches all day... and I haven't done a single thing.🤷

Look, honey, since you missed that first pill, it’s been about two months now—assuming my math is right—which means you started your current pack quite a while ago and you should be protected!!!!

If you think you conceived back then but are only just noticing symptoms now, that would really only happen if you took a pill twelve hours later than usual. But seeing as it was just the very first pill in the pack, I honestly don't think there's any reason to panic.

Anyway, just to give yourself some peace of mind, maybe head to your doctor or just pick up a pregnancy test.

I took it at noon, twelve hours after my usual dose. I was supposed to take Monday's pill at 9 PM on Sunday—since I’d already finished that pack by 9 PM then—but instead, I waited until Monday around lunchtime. Then I realized I still had Monday's dose left, so I took that one at 9 PM too. That's more than a twelve-hour gap, isn't it?

I can only offer myself this small piece of advice: if you want to be absolutely certain, please go see a gynecologist or just buy a test.

I recently started taking Logest, so I’m curious about how things work regarding sex. We're thinking about skipping condoms since I'm on the pill, so I wanted to know how safe it actually is if he finishes inside, or if we should just play it safe and avoid that?

Basically, that’s what pills are for—so you don't end up all crusty and gross!
There are definitely girls like me who are totally fine with finishing inside and aren't afraid of it (which is why I grabbed the tablets), but then there are others who just can't bring themselves to do it... honestly, it's just up to you!

I always end up getting my period on Thursdays (and yeah, I’m on the pill), which basically means it drags through the entire weekend. Now, since my partner moved out and only comes over on weekends, I really just want to enjoy my time without any interruptions 😍 I’m wondering if there's a way to shift the start date. I know it says somewhere in the instructions, but I don't have them handy—I'm an idiot and always toss 😠
before I actually need them. If I stop taking them a couple of days before the current pack ends, will the new pack naturally start on day eight or what?

Exactly! 👏
If you're looking for some extra peace of mind, it might be worth checking in with your OB-GYN.

Think so, Thomas Roberts 🙂
I thought that was the case—I remember reading it somewhere once, maybe in the instructions or just on a forum like this—but I never really trust my memory too much, so I figured I’d double-check. 😁

And then the period usually shows up on day four after stopping? (That's usually when mine kicks in.)

It really ought to arrive; while the timing might shift forward or back by a day or two, it should definitely happen eventually.
If it doesn't show up, please don't start a new pack—just head straight to your gynecologist instead, though I truly don't think you have anything to worry about. 😉
