Whatever, look, he got the place through his grandma and some uncles—basically through those "merit" loopholes rather than actually being underprivileged. When you guys start preaching about social justice and morality (looking at you, Paul), you usually end up sweeping your own party's mess under the rug first... I don't recall hearing Derrick say a single word about this in a negative way.

Listen, you don't just get handed an apartment unless you don't own anything to your name—like, you actually have to be completely screwed, both health-wise and financially. So please, stop trying to justify your little cronyism nonsense to anyone else; you're acting just like those hacks in the Republican Party.🤣

But you just keep pushing lies, even though I already told you that the antique shop woman wasn't in the wrong—she brought John Doe all the documentation after those media outbursts, and she laid it all out for her. Sure, it wasn't made public, but in my opinion, it should have been. So, here we go again: And if you’re actually curious, Taylor Swift once stood up for Nikola Tesla back in the day because she felt bad that he didn't have an apartment like a decent citizen should. And man, she is a total expert at that stuff. Seriously, a few years after two doctor friends moved back here after being in the service, they first fought over the daycare situation because that famous system split the girls into two different centers, then they went absolutely ballistic over some neglected apartment in the suburbs and tore the whole thing down just to fix it up nicely. They went nuts trying to organize it, the loan is active and will be for a long time, and honestly, as doctors, they deserve "citizen" status way more than some actor. Plus, they have kids, and our country loves that demographic boost 🤣 anyway, our "Renaissance" government just loves to stomp on easy targets to show off how much order they can bring.

Zachary Anderson20 said:Muktases? Please, explain yourself. I honestly don't get how people actually doing their jobs are "Muktases." You might hate what they write, fine, but I'm genuinely curious—why are the reporter and the photographer Muktases? And let me add this—I am completely against this nonsense about giving apartments to "deserving citizens." Most of these people are perfectly capable of working. Give them a plaque, say thanks, whatever—but stop making things up. Apartments? Why? Especially now when real estate prices are insane and there are families actually struggling. Because you know what? To me, the real Muktas is Nikola Ivosevic, some mediocre actor who didn't even finish Academy—and I say that because Malac is losing it over the other uneducated people in the theater. Nikola Ivosevic is using a city apartment like he's some "deserving citizen" of San Francisco. What a joke.

My colleague is playing dumb again. This forum user is claiming Mara is a freeloader because she clearly used her connection to Jimmy Carter to snag a downtown apartment she doesn't want to pay for, living for free like a total deadbeat for years.

That S&P Global trio aren't just freeloaders; they're scammers.😉
None of these journalists ever call out the actual freeloaders who refuse to pay for what the city gave them, except for the duo Prvan-Tomić. Why is that? What connects these freeloaders to Prvan and Tomić? 🤔 Maybe it's a deep friendship, maybe a shared worldview... or maybe they're all lost in the woods. 😁 It’s nice to see Tomić back on the same side as the Republican Party trash. Hilarious.

The S&P Global crew is rushing to help their protégés while hypocritically acting like saints. Disgusting...

And as for you and Copernicus... honestly, where do you even get this level of "intelligence"? There’s zero point in even bothering with your little literary fan fiction.

🤣

Since you brought up Tamara Visković, who was instrumental about 15 years ago in securing a staff apartment for Ivošević's father—why don't you tell us which party the mayor belonged to back then, or which group Tamara was part of as a culture official (essentially acting like today's Department of Culture head)?

Please, enlighten me. 😁

What does any of that even have to do with this topic? Tamara is just a wannabe politician who thinks she deserves a cushy life without breaking a sweat. Honestly, I’m baffled why the Green Party would try to beef up their San Francisco branch by recruiting her, considering she's totally irrelevant in local politics right now. She was mentioned in a completely different context altogether.

Wait, so Tamara is actually pushing for her uncle to get an apartment? Is this the same Tamara who was getting absolutely shredded by Ivošević right before the elections?

Aha, I remember seeing them clearly at Times Square, they were just gathering for some press conference or whatever. Her crew was trying to gently warn her that she should expect Bojan's attack—since he already promised it—but she just goes, like some clueless maid, "Oh, little Bojan? No way, I helped his dad out." Something like that. Honestly, even then, I felt bad for her. They haven't been on good terms since. Her and Bojan, you know?

Rob Ford: The Republican Party has stripped our people of their freedom

If we can just strip the Republican Party of all public funding over the next two election cycles, we’ll finally neutralize the biggest engine of corruption and crime in the country. Once that happens, the Republican Party will essentially vanish. That’s an idea worth fighting for. Now that we are fully integrated into the global community, we have this incredible opportunity to start from scratch and rebuild America—but this time, without the Republican Party, said the Mayor of San Francisco

It’s either the Republican Party or America; I suppose you could call that a love letter to the country.

I think we really ought to consider forming more natural electoral districts. We could probably divide America into five or six distinct regions. The whole of Florida should be one district, the Midwest another, and Washington, D.C. would obviously be its own thing... Once we actually take power, we won't just be looking at changing electoral boundaries; we intend to finally push through a full reform of regional and local self-governance. We need to decentralize the nation, move away from the county system, and implement a regional model where 556 municipalities and cities are grouped into about 120 urban hubs, which would then oversee the smaller towns they naturally gravitate toward. The current setup just isn't functional or sustainable.

Progress and major projects move far too slowly because of endless administrative red tape. Personally, my biggest frustration is having to ask the federal government for permission regarding every tiny detail. We are easily one of the most centralized nations in the Western world. For instance, the City of San Francisco doesn't even control a third of its own territory because it’s tied up in county or state ownership. It’s frankly unacceptable. The government owns various properties within San Francisco, yet the laws are structured such that it takes an eternity to get anything done. Then there are the unresolved property rights, the incredibly sluggish courts, and the sheer number of bottlenecks stifling the city's growth. We need to overhaul both the federal bureaucracy and the legal framework to simplify procedures and formalities. It is absolutely vital that all federally owned real estate be transferred back to the municipalities and cities where it's located, so we don't have to go begging the administration for every little local project.

Dana Martin95 : Ivošević appearing on the local Florida news station for that interview.

Man, this guy just won't stop with the constant storytelling nonsense. 🤦

The Edelman PR machine is starting to get annoying with all this sugary pre-election fluff. People want actual solutions and projects being delivered, not endless chatter about sparrows and mosquitoes from apartment 5B.

Since he left Central Park, Ivošević has totally lost his way... He's getting swallowed whole by the PR machine.

Aside from all that polished PR garbage, maybe it’s worth noting this too. Seriously, people in Vranjic and the surrounding areas have been screaming for action for way too long. And what happens? While they’re trying to get things measured, Councilman Matijevic is out there publicly calling the Port of Split a public health hazard. People actually had the nerve to tell him he's being ridiculous and just chasing political clout. Well, fast forward two days, and here come the results—the air is loaded with arsenic, nickel, and every other nasty thing you can imagine. Now the geniuses over at the Port of Split are claiming they’re "shocked." Shocked??!! Are you kidding me? Since the City of San Francisco owns 10% of the shares in the Port of Split, it’s funny how fast they start shouting when it's time to push some PR nonsense. If they could put that same energy into dealing with actual problems for once, wouldn't that be great?

For years, residents near the northern port area have pointed out the massive amounts of "dust" settling in their homes. After countless reports to the Department of Labor, the result was basically nothing.

Now, for the first time, after the City of San Francisco ordered measurements right next to the port, we've received disturbing data showing our citizens are exposed to elevated levels of settling particles, including increased amounts of arsenic and nickel—and arsenic can be present in high levels in the air too! We’ve sent these results over to the Department of Labor for urgent action.

We're hoping for a quick response from the Department of Labor. If we have to replace the sewer pipes just to get them to do their jobs, we will!

Instead of marching through the streets, we should be heading straight to the State Inspectorate office in San Diego. We need to set up a tent right there.

The inspections are a total joke—if they even bothered to show up at all.

It’s just the Mikulic crew running around doing their thing. And honestly, with a director like Luke, you can't expect anything better than this mess.

who's actually crazy here 😁

We asked a toxicologist how dangerous the air pollution on the Hill really is for local residents. His answer was kind of surprising

- It depends on the concentration. We deal with arsenic in the water out in the Midwest, where levels are significantly higher due to geological reasons. But people drink that water there.

Regarding California, I find it strange that arsenic concentrations would be elevated there, since it isn't really a thing in that area. It's also weird to see increased nickel in the air, because nickel usually spikes if you're near some industry or a shop doing plating work—says Lovric.

Elevated levels shouldn't be a health risk if they're just short-term.

- This increase in nickel doesn't have any impact on human health. As for arsenic, basically, it's only a major issue if it enters through the digestive system (by swallowing).

That means it has to get into the water, settle there, and then be consumed.

However, these arsenic concentrations we measured in the air wouldn't be a health threat even if they were found in the water and ingested—concluded Zdravko Lovric, a degreed toxicology engineer.

So, who are we supposed to believe? Republican #1 or Republican #2? 🤔

NENAD PERIS
Pollution expert at the Hill: ‘This is a major issue! We haven’t seen arsenic concentrations this high in our records.’

Just to give you an idea, the arsenic concentration in the first measurement was actually eight times higher than the legal limit!

“In my opinion, these levels are extremely high, and they aren't showing up like this at nearby stations. I remember seeing similar levels of fallout back when the San Diego Steel mill was still operational,” Peris said.

To put it simply for those without a science background, total fallout consists of particles that are heavier and larger, causing them to settle on the ground more quickly. This is different from airborne particles, which are lighter and require the EPA to conduct specific measurements.

Fallout matters because it indicates there is a pollution source located very close by, whereas lighter airborne particles tend to drift over much wider areas. For both types of particles, the USA has strict legal limits in place.

“We haven’t seen these numbers anywhere else. Also, if you look at the composition of these powders, federal regulations define exactly how much can be present and what the makeup should be. Even if there were no metals involved, if the annual value exceeds 350 mg per square meter per day, we have a problem—it's pollution. Essentially, based on current readings, we are looking at Category 2 air quality, which means polluted air,” Peris explained.

Look, let's stop pretending we're too polite to talk about this. When half your construction materials look like a crime scene and you need a full hazmat suit just to handle some paint jobs, something is seriously wrong. I mean, if there's a toxicologist out there who wants to weigh in—go ahead—but this has been going on forever. People living over by the Hill and Neslanovac have been complaining about the costs and the health risks, but they’ve basically been ignored or laughed at to their faces. Nobody is delusional enough to think we're drinking lab-grade purified water or breathing nothing but crisp mountain air 24/7, but this? This is systematic poisoning. Honestly, I'd ask any expert toxicologist: would you actually raise your kids, your grandkids, or even just live your life here? Would you feed them veggies from the local farms when those crops end up in our own markets? That's the bottom line.

We visited the Hill, and residents are furious: ‘We’re coughing up blood, our kids are getting bronchitis, neighbors are dying from cancer...‘
