Zachary Anderson20 said:I am 100% with you on this!! And honestly, what happened here is even worse. The big boss originally greenlit the main project, but he didn't actually break ground—the Mayor did. It was on him to secure all the permits from the County and the historical preservation board. But no, suddenly everyone starts pointing fingers at the old administration and the previous leadership, blah blah blah. Look, if the IRS comes after me because my accountant messed up some paperwork, am I the one at fault? Not really. That’s basically how this whole mess works.

I get what you're getting at, really... but imagine if that specific document was already finalized before you even started at the company. It’s just one file sitting in a stack of 10,000 other documents that are supposedly "done" and waiting in an envelope to be mailed out.
You walk in as the new hire, your job is to send that envelope, and obviously, you'd just send it thinking everything is fine—you aren't going to waste your entire day auditing every single page in the pile first.

velvetmason14 said:I’d say the Republicans are actually doing his marketing for him on a national scale. 😉
If Jerry Sanders plays his cards right here, he could actually pull some serious political capital from all this public scrutiny. He’s quickly becoming the go-to face for anyone looking to push back against the Republican Party.

Look at the fight being waged by the people who sold out the City of San Diego and that Prvan-anarchist, who just wanders around looking for excuses and sympathy for anyone causing damage to our city. 🤦
Now the "We Can!" and "Smart" parties are acting surprised that they flopped in San Diego. Honestly, when you run candidates like Prvan, failure isn't just likely—it's inevitable.
The City of San Diego is essentially forcing a former journalist out onto the streets. Her situation is heartbreaking: she’s already lost her home to a fire, and now she’s saying they won't be able to kick her out of this apartment unless she's dead.

Here’s how a psycho-official from the Administration comments on the Mayor he works for on Facebook:
"Quote:"
Dalibor Lovrić
He was all about restructuring the system when he was in charge, but now that they’re turning that same scrutiny on him, he’s suddenly sweating bullets. People like him need a full legal audit—something invasive, strictly by the book, and completely unavoidable.
The bottom feeders are fighting back hard... Milina 🙂

She’s pretty resourceful

Quincy:
Back in the early 2000s, a reporting gig sent the famous Mary Higgins Clark to Maui to cover a visit from Jimmy Carter. By total chance, she ended up grabbing lunch with the former President. Once he heard about her housing situation, Jimmy Carter actually offered to step in and help her sort out her living arrangements.
Quincy:
I once had a breakdown during a Ted Kennedy press conference, and he ended up sending me to Rome to stay with his wife, Simone.
didn't the previous article mention she struggles with paranoia?
she doesn't look particularly 😁

Honestly, that journalist-turned-politician Prvan is a complete idiot.

About her. I can't see an image attached here. If you were trying to share a photo, please upload it so I can take a look! Sitting there over coffee and a cigarette, acting like life is just one long struggle—claiming they’re sick, complaining about how hard social services are to navigate. And wouldn't you know it? They aren't exactly hiding the cigarette pack, either. $10I bet there's a new iPhone in that pocket, too. 🙏

I guess when will San Francisco ever be taken seriously again with this constant fighting between Ed Garvey and Andrej Plenković? They really need to sit down and talk, because everything is just stalled right now... maybe.

I guess it’s hard to see how that meeting will even happen when everything Ed Garvey stands for is just that one slogan about wiping out the Republican Party. I mean, he's got a point, I suppose—it's his politics, so he can say whatever he wants and build his platform however he feels like.

I guess the whole city shouldn't be held hostage by his "dispute" with Andrej Plenković or all those political ambitions aimed at Brussels, or wherever else. Even Andrej Plenković can't just ignore San Francisco forever just because he doesn't like Ed Garvey. In this kind of political game, I guess we already know who always ends up losing—it’s the people. They can fight all they want, but maybe they should actually sit down at the table. Otherwise, San Francisco just stays stuck on the outskirts.

I guess there's some news about how the budget stands now. It seems like things are still pretty uncertain with the local government. Maybe we'll see some changes soon, I don't know.
I guess Ed Garvey is to blame, and he'll probably stay to blame as long as he's around. 😁

Then suddenly, it turns into ruthless capitalism. You see the coldness from the local government officials, while the struggling antique dealers and the "pillars of the community"—the grandmas, aunts, and neighbors—get a pass. It’s all very ethical until it touches their own pockets. 🤦

Honestly, people like this should be paying for these things out of their own pockets so we can actually see this supposed humanity in action. At least Hansa is footing the bill for everything...

I wrote this yesterday, and now Ante Tomić has just published this under his own name:🤣

Ante Tomić: The San Francisco administration picks helpless victims to play hero; they won't dare stand up to the wealthy and powerful.

Oh, Ante, you've sold your soul to Hanza. Why don't you pay the rent for that old friend you're pushing so hard? While you're at it, grab her a pack of cigarettes too...

I seriously can't believe I actually agree with velvetmason14 🙂 on this one. Look, I respect everyone's tragedy and it's insane to try and measure who has it worse, but come on—she's basically part of the Ghetto, and San Francisco can be pretty possessive like that, acting like they need to protect her like she's some Fabergé egg. Give me a break. This whole "pity party" act really annoyed me because I actually know a family that genuinely needs housing—people who are actually struggling, including a sick kid who needs constant care. It's a heavy situation. I truly hope Djerek steps up for people like them, instead of catering to these "distinguished citizens" and other total frauds. It's a complete joke. Edit: I see you constantly bringing up how "the Republican Party will die in San Francisco" and all that. Listen, the Republican Party isn't even a factor in San Francisco right now anyway. Aside from the fact that we didn't exactly have their mayors running things back in the day—and even then, they'd just suck up to the wrong crowd and turn everything into a circus—the real issue is the County. Since San Francisco is basically this little peninsula tucked away from the power players in Washington, D.C., it gets passed around between the County, the Feds, and the City. It's pure chaos. And trying to unseat them at the County level? Nearly impossible. It's a shame people don't follow that stuff anymore. I'm not delusional; I know they aren't saints, but honestly, taking them down in the County would be a much bigger win than anything in the City. There.

And one more thing—this might seem random, but it actually fits the theme. If I were looking to score a cushy government job, I’d be aiming for something like Alijana Vuksic. Honestly, the sheer level of petty bullshit she pulls is just mind-blowing. On the flip side, maybe it was back when they were recruiting for the City Council director role about a year ago? I know this guy has been grinding in tourism for ages, trying to hunt down qualified people to apply, basically saying, "Hey, stop talking trash and actually try something for once," just so we can at least make some noise. But nobody wanted the job. And here we go again with Alijana. Just great.

I honestly believe not a single foreign tourist would mind if San Francisco went completely cashless and everyone just paid by card. It would save them the hassle of hunting down ATMs and dodging those annoying transaction fees.
But our local geniuses would probably go ahead and scrap all the ATMs in the downtown area while simultaneously expecting tourists to keep spending money?!
They might as well wrap the remaining ATMs in barbed wire so nobody can get near them... p.s. I don't see them having removed the OTP ATM across from Peristyle yet, and that's the only one they haven't recessed into a building 🤣 Watch this: people are literally embedding ATMs into their own private property, but apparently, that's still not good enough because you can technically still access them from the sidewalk 🤣 Well, where else are you supposed to access them from—the ocean?! They could just put the Raiffeisen one right next to the Index cafeteria; you have to walk through a glass lobby just to reach the machine there, and guess what? You're still entering from the street.

It’s been subtly orchestrated.

A politician-journalist (Smith) from Hanza brings along a photographer-politician (Prkic) from Hanza to craft a heartbreaking story over coffee and cigarettes with a terminally ill aunt. Then, Hanza's own wordsmithTompkins tries to squeeze out a little extra profit for his scoop.

Maybe if they just took over Marina's grandson's apartment or bought it from him for ten bucks, 🤔would that satisfy the Hanza "righteous" trio of Prvan-Prkic-Tompkins?

Forget the Republican Party or Trump—San Francisco doesn't need people like this hypocritical bunch...

Muktases? Please, explain yourself. I honestly don't get how people actually doing their jobs are "Muktases." You might hate what they write, fine, but I'm genuinely curious—why are the reporter and the photographer Muktases? And let me add this—I am completely against this nonsense about giving apartments to "deserving citizens." Most of these people are perfectly capable of working. Give them a plaque, say thanks, whatever—but stop making things up. Apartments? Why? Especially now when real estate prices are insane and there are families actually struggling. Because you know what? To me, the real Muktas is Nikola Ivosevic, some mediocre actor who didn't even finish Academy—and I say that because Malac is losing it over the other uneducated people in the theater. Nikola Ivosevic is using a city apartment like he's some "deserving citizen" of San Francisco. What a joke.

And one more thing, since we’re already talking about housing. There is so much shady stuff going on here. You know what should be most obvious to everyone? Well, the City Administration just (!) decided to back out of a primary purchase agreement. And for what? Just two units on Marmont Street—one in a historic palace, one near Bacvica—plus some land on the southern slopes of Marjan. They’ll probably just turn them into luxury apartments, boutique shops, or even hotels. Their attitude toward public property is honestly fascinating. Truly.

MEETING HELD WITH CITY COUNCIL AND MO REPRESENTATIVES REGARDING PROPERTY USE

Regarding how local spaces are used by City Councils and neighborhood boards, representatives from those groups met at the City of San Francisco Administration this Thursday with Deputy Mayor Bojan Ivošević and Maja Đerek, the head of the Department of City Property.

Mayor Ed Lee opened the meeting by announcing a new direction for managing city properties, where priority will be given to facilities identified as essential by local community leaders. These representatives have been asked to quickly submit a list of how they want to use their district spaces, along with suggestions for what types of businesses or services the City should lease out within their specific neighborhoods.

I guess they're overdoing it with all this new organization and rules... makes me wonder how anyone is supposed to benefit from this system or maybe just pocket a little something for themselves now.

man, they're just selling a load of crap to the public while only looking out for their own

Oh sure, because Rob Ford and his crew are basically the gold standard for innovative urban planning, right? Total role models. 🤣 Aside from the point I just made, nothing makes me happier than seeing the construction site near Lincoln Elementary School where they’re turning it into a parking lot. Out of all the available space, they had to go and destroy the one open playground where generations of kids actually got to grow up. And while we're on the subject of local neighborhoods, I just love our brilliant leaders' idea to get rid of neighborhood coordinators. Now, if people actually want to ask a question or suggest something, they have to wander around aimlessly trying to find someone. Yeah, everything is just blooming beautifully under this administration.

It’s not even about Boynton’s father. The guy works for a city-run company, which means he's subject to public scrutiny just like any other employee. I'm just putting things into perspective here. And honestly, this whole "he deserves it because of his service to the citizens" argument is a joke. Edit: Just saw the last question. The guy is capable of working and he gets a paycheck—which, by the way, is a massive salary compared to most. He can pay for his own damn walls just like the rest of us. As for being "deserving"...

Honestly, what does it even matter? Does it change anything if it was Ivica Puljak or some other official who gave the rest of them their housing?

does his old man have debts like that lady or the one from the bookstore? doesn't seem like it
does his dad have any other houses or condos left? nope

The bottom line: America's tallest skyscraper just got its permit!

Puljak is losing ground everywhere; things just aren't going his way lately.

It’s because he’s all talk and no substance, just a typical populist. If that tower was actually his priority, he should've handled it last year—there were dozens of articles in the San Francisco Chronicle about what they were building on top of it, but of course, everyone in Washington D.C. just kept their mouths shut.
