And now they have the audacity to claim we shouldn't be comparing ourselves to preschool teachers and their weekend schedules... honestly, the sheer lack of perspective... It’s on par with that one chef who argued he deserves a higher salary than a neurosurgeon simply because he’s sweating in a ninety-degree kitchen while the doctor sits in a climate-controlled operating room...

People keep bringing up women in the comments and those microbladed eyebrows. As long as the price isn't too $333...

Poor , struggling to make ends meet on a tiny paycheck of $2667—trying to cover a phone, the TV, manicures, eyebrows, hair...

She’s got a high school diploma and hasn't even put in four years at the sanitation department. She's really been through it 🤣
.
There's a lot of noise here, and about 95% of the comments are just brutal toward the sanitation workers. It's not like there aren't Republican bots lurking, either. This isn't going to end well for the Republican crowd and their sanitation crew... 😉

Every job deserves respect, and every worker who does their part should be honored regardless of their profession. But this is nonsense—it's neither fair nor just. Politics is a dirty game, and workers are often treated as nothing more than tools in the hands of the bureaucrats running the show.
If she doesn't like the work, she should find something else—maybe become a chief surgeon, a pharmacist, an actress, or run for Mayor so she won't have to deal with dust. Every job should pay a decent wage, not just the ones where workers hold a "monopoly" that allows them to squeeze citizens. 26Like

Wasn't this strike just a political stunt? But I guess they feel they have to return the favor to the people who handed them their jobs. 57Like

When was it decided that someone with only a third-grade education (with exceptions) could earn a higher salary coefficient than someone who spent ten years in university? 24Like

Kudos to everyone, but a few years ago, getting hired at the sanitation department required having the right connections—specifically through a political party.

The Republican crowd needs to face immediate terminations. There are plenty of people who would do this job much better for $1,000 a month, but they didn't have the luck or the connections to get a handout from the Republican Party. We have people with PhDs out there, yet San Francisco is the filthiest city in America. And the woman in the photo looks like she slept in a beehive. Or maybe she just went for a facelift?

It's a shame I can't upload the photo. Last summer, they drove me crazy because they were basically furniture in some cafes located in touristy landmarks, sipping coffee for three hours while the city was full of litter. Even the boardwalk was covered in plastic bottles and trash. I actually took pictures because they were being so blatantly lazy.

The situation in San Francisco is just like it is in New York. It’s pretty obvious what’s going on here.

People have finally caught on that unnamed has been misleading everyone—she actually received a paycheck of around $3000$1,300. Meanwhile, the city is a mess, and she’s been working at the sanitation department for less than four years after finishing her PhD...

What a total fraud 🤣

Just look at the messages this "queen" is sending... On August 1st, her balance was zero. By September 1st, her pay hit, leaving her with $1,280 after a small $35 transaction, which means her salary was about $1,300. By September 12th, she can't make any more transactions. Basically, she blew her entire paycheck in two days. It’s no wonder she's always asking for more.

So, according to you people—is earning a little bit of money somehow forbidden for those without a college degree?

I suppose they do. And honestly, looking at the numbers, they’re pulling in what most Americans would consider an average wage... Given that being a street sweeper isn't exactly a high-stakes career requiring a PhD, just having a high school diploma should be plenty, and a salary totaling two minimum wages is actually quite decent, if you ask me...

That's some top-tier logic you pulled straight from our enrollment numbers.

The moment someone starts using averages as their main argument, I immediately know they’re either trying to pull the wool over my eyes or they’ve completely lost touch with how things actually work in the real world.

What an absolute joke this reporter Robert Kennedy from Fox News is. It’s painfully obvious he’s already picked a side 👍

Douglas Roberts49👍 Exactly. That’s the core point I’m making here. What a brilliant mind!

Let's look at some comparisons between workers with identical qualifications and education levels working for municipal public works departments.

Which city clearly stands out on this chart?

And which city comes in second for salary levels in the table?

It’s funny how right after the change in administration and the old guard gets kicked out, a strike breaks out in those two specific cities with the highest municipal wages 🤔
.
Just a total coincidence, I'm sure. 🤣

What now? Is it because you're making less than everyone else that you're feeling bitter?😁

Padding the numbers by factoring in overtime and holiday pay is just another way to cook the books. I’d really appreciate seeing the actual figure for standard working hours alone.

According to the numbers provided by San Diego Sanitation, the average take-home pay for a driver was $1,285 in October, which climbed to $1,740 in November, before settling at $1,675 in December. You have to look at the base pay plus all those extra layers—seniority bumps, holiday pay, Sunday shifts, overtime, and all the other perks guaranteed under the current collective bargaining agreement. For the sanitation workers, the average net pay sat at $1,220 in October, went up to $1,313 in November, and hit $1,500 in December. On top of that, everyone gets their meal stipends covered—about $60 a month—plus transportation costs. The base salary starts at roughly $720 gross, with a steady monthly tax-free supplement of about $72. This whole "guaranteed" thing is just a fantasy if you're out on sick leave; the full payroll list doesn't show the complete picture.

No, this strike isn't some accidental political stunt either. Just toss it in with the rest of those fairy tales told to adults.

The comments over at Sell California are absolutely savage toward those Republican Party sanitation workers. ☕

Tomorrow, they’ll probably drop some nauseatingly sentimental fluff piece about how "certain San Diegans" are being heartless and rude to these workers earning $3000 wages 🤣.
Smith and Johnson can't even decide which angle to take for their sob story. Apparently, Hanna provides a little bonus to keep the propaganda flowing.

Sell California is always looking for a reason to bash San Diegans...

I keep thinking that for that kind of money, I should just apply for a job with Waste Management... a nice little stroll, getting some exercise, being out in the fresh air all day... instead of stressing out, wrecking my back, and straining my eyes at this job.

Sure, they’re technically clocked in for eight hours, but effectively? You barely see them for three. After that, they’re usually hanging out at some local coffee shop or even leaning against a wall somewhere. I've seen plenty of examples of this firsthand.

I remember how Mrs. Thatcher used to dismantle these little power plays with actual expertise. But unlike back then in the United Kingdom, here in America today—trying to topple an elected government through union terror is somehow treated like it's perfectly normal.

Richard Lopez said:They aren't even looking to just add a single amendment or two... they want a full-blown constitutional ban on abortion. And honestly? That would only be the beginning...

Batarelov is now the leader of that ultra-Catholic group Vigilara, and he’s tied to... The American branch of that extremist group Ordo Iuris—the same ones who pulled the strings behind the abortion bans in Poland—is making moves here too. According to Batarelov, they have the exact same agenda for America. That whole public kneeling stunt? It’s just theater. It's all part of a much larger project to push clericalism onto the US...In Batarelov's wildest fantasies, he and his followers would probably want to turn everything into a theocracy...

Please. As if you’ve ever actually listened to what they pray for. And what exactly do you think the end game looks like? 🙄

if they actually want to get things done for these guys, they should probably say thanks for once
they ought to just head over to Germany and go play politics there instead

It seems to me you wrote the exact same thing about those doctors in Washington, D.C... No, wait, you wrote "we need to bring in new people while the Democrats just go on strike"... Or did I misread that? 😁

Though, personally, I wouldn't give those idiots even an inch of ground either. Not a single bit.
But seriously, seeing the Republican Party behind every single thing... I mean... really? 🙄

Augustin Šušnjara, a truck driver over at Waste Management, told me that over 90 percent of the crew is actually on strike! He mentioned that this morning, only a single truck rolled out of the Waste Management yard just to grab the bins near the hospital.

Word is, only a tiny handful of people are even working today, and they're all just temporary contract workers.

The rest are all just there to uhljebiti...

Solutions for Waste Management:
Either go for privatization or set up a whole new Corporation to take over the workload in the next couple of years. For now, we just need to meet the current workers' demands...

By the way, the union rep is quite the math whiz. This whole "inflation is killing us" angle is a clever move, but I really wonder if the state budget can actually handle it...

They're being pretty secretive about the revenue, much like what happened during that professor strike... nobody ever wants to show off their actual pay stub. Come on, strikers! Let's see those last pay stubs out in the open. Hey journalists, let's get to work and find someone willing to go public with their numbers... otherwise, this is all just noise.

Exactly, just announce Outsourcing in a few months and they'll be quiet as mice... 👍
