And now Sandy wants to pretend he’s an investigative reporter 🤣

Take this article from a couple days ago—the guy basically made it all up. He was promising huge breakthroughs and a retreat from the territory... 😂 Then, that very same day, a completely different story comes out from the territory.

I haven't seen anything like this since the heyday of The Free Weekly or those old 90s tabloids. Every single piece he writes, he whines about how he didn't get an answer within five or ten days. He just publishes the questions he asked, and every single article is somehow against Rob Ford and his crew. It’s pure hysteria every time. He circles the same topics constantly; I think he’s written fifteen pieces on Villa California in the last two months alone. It feels like he's manufactured scandals just to chase clicks...

It reminds me of the sensationalism you used to see in The 90s Herald.

Sandy should probably stick to his actual field of art criticism because this is a disgrace to journalism. Even when he eventually stumbles onto a real scandal, nobody is going to believe him anymore—except for Puljko's political enemies. 😉

I don't find the article particularly negative. Headlines aren't written by the reporter anyway, and the text simply presents one side's perspective while waiting for the other side's response.

But if you wait for the response... it’s like being told to wait for an answer that was literally published here 😁

I honestly don't know what kind of response would satisfy him when the White House has been saying the exact same thing every single time. God knows there have been at least ten articles written about this already, and every single one claimed that the energy company had to leave because they lacked a usage agreement and weren't paying their bills.

What more could a cautious guy and the big shots at the Department want? 🤔 I have to wonder why the administration is in such a rush to manufacture these "scandals"...

EDIT: Yesterday the administration was screaming about this. Today, a HUGE turnaround 🙂
NOT A SINGLE DOCUMENT IS MISSING

The Mayor isn't backing down: ‘We’ll use every resource available to block the permit for the high-rise tower‘

Regarding the following:
- As the administration for San Francisco, we disagree with the Department's stance, though I suppose the officials felt they had little choice. Our local zoning laws are quite explicit: the mayor must give consent for any changes to the conceptual design. While the Department argues that no significant change occurred, our regulations don't distinguish between "significant" or "minor"—they simply state that *any* change requires approval.

We believe this undermines the constitutional right of local government units to maintain autonomy over their own planning and development. By doing this, the Department has flagrantly violated the constitutional principle of local autonomy, the Mayor stated, adding that he intends to exhaust every legal avenue to defend the rights of San Francisco and all local municipalities to truly control their own urban planning.

The port director says everything is spotless, Andrew's Department of Inspection claims it’s even cleaner, and the tests keep showing high levels of arsenic...

Where did Sandy go? Where's the hero we need to save the people of San Francisco from Netcom? Where are the formal inquiries and the constant pressure being applied to the port director and the inspectors? Where are the heart-wrenching stories about little Anthony's asthma, or Mary's struggles living near Hill? Where are the photos documenting arsenic poisoning and the expert medical opinions? 🤔

I can't help but wonder why Sandy and the Seller aren't diving into this case with more passion or dropping a new, concerned investigative piece every single day.

Instead, we just get these dry, clinical reports without any grit or real detail. It feels a bit too much like Netcom playing nice with Hanza.

Who is poisoning San Francisco? ‘Luke’ company releases inspection results: ‘Airborne arsenic isn't coming from cargo on our site‘

A multi-day inspection by the Department of Inspection has been completed at "Luke." According to North Port officials, the audit included inspectors from outside of San Francisco. The inspection, which took place from April 18th to 20th, 2023, included environmental protection and sanitary inspectors.

- All corporate documentation and safety data sheets were reviewed, business processes and field conditions underwent a detailed assessment, and no irregularities were found - according to representatives from "Luke."

San Francisco Skyscraper Owner: Puljkov's move is bizarre; we've alerted federal authorities

"It seems the Mayor simply refuses to acknowledge the rule of law or the findings from the Department of Housing and Urban Development, which confirmed that the minor construction work on the skyscraper's roof doesn't actually violate Building Department regulations," the group stated.

In their response, the investor noted how disheartening it is to receive such "contradictory and politically tainted messages coming out of San Francisco, which undermine the confidence of all investors and damage the overall business climate."

They also pointed out that the permit process has been dragged out indefinitely, which has negatively impacted over a thousand employees waiting to move into offices for both domestic and international companies—firms that have watched the local government's treatment of market stakeholders, and by extension, the citizens of San Francisco, with growing disbelief.

The Westgate Group has now called on Mayor Puljka to explain to the public who exactly will be covering the multi-million dollar losses incurred by the investor due to what they claim are officially proven illegal and harmful actions taken by the San Francisco administration.

Because of all this, they say they have initiated civil and criminal proceedings and have flagged the unlawful conduct they’ve faced over recent months to all relevant federal agencies.

San Francisco City Councilor: Water and Sewer has 400 employees, yet they want to pad the payroll with three more Republican Party loyalists

Downtown San Francisco City Councilor Igor Skoko issued a warning today, stating that the municipal Water and Sewer Department has failed to collect roughly one hundred million dollars in debts over the last decade, adding that the management of the utility is nothing short of criminal.

After requesting and obtaining an internal audit report from the Water and Sewer Department, Skoko noted that while it has long been suspected that the agency lacks responsible oversight, this document now serves as proof that "the level of mismanagement is criminal."

As a specific instance of both poor management and blatant favoritism, he pointed to a case where the municipality of Lecevic remained two million dollars in arrears to the Water and Sewer Department following the installation of water infrastructure for the County Waste Management Center.

Skoko claims that about two and a half years ago, a Water and Sewer employee sent out a formal collection notice for the debt, but the municipality allegedly struck a deal with the director, Tomislav Sut. According to Skoko, the assembly and the supervisory board subsequently granted Sut permission to extend the payment deadline until December 31st of last year.

He described the situation as scandalous, noting that because the municipal head is a Republican Party member, this appears to be "typical favoritism intended to protect a Republican official from trouble, which ultimately causes massive financial damage to the city-owned utility."

Furthermore, he mentioned that Sut recently requested to hire three new individuals at the Water and Sewer Department, adding that such a move should not be permitted given that the agency already employs more than enough people—specifically, 400 staff members. He expressed his belief that Sut was essentially attempting to "find jobs for three Republican Party cronies."

Honestly, it looks like Bacalja is still digging through his notes trying to find the password for the forum. Here, take this and see what Puljak's deal is with Relkovic. 🙈

I don't know who this second PR guy is, but lately, everything feels a bit too much like a calculated press release. That’s never a good sign. Puljak needs to start thinking for himself. Ivošević should do the same.

The architects behind Puljkov's success reveal how they lured the Republican Party into a trap and how they played Kerum. They gave us an exclusive look: We had the "blood work" for San Francisco, and 71% of citizens feel the same way...

Puljak really needs to bring more fresh talent into the Governor's Mansion—people who actually know the job and want to tear down this establishment. He also needs to distance himself from his medical buddy and that other brother figure...

The agitator’s latest flyer can only mean one thing: they're digging up yet another set of illegalities regarding this case. ❤️

Even though the City of San Francisco doesn't have all the paperwork in hand just yet, we're bringing you a fresh little story about how the agitator is fudging the building permit application—perhaps this will broaden the horizons of those who actually hold the documentation.

Up until 2016, the tower was classified as a commercial building with a hotel; since 2016, it's being rebranded as a hotel structure with supporting amenities. Seems like a minor detail? I suppose it isn't. Through these kinds of maneuvers, they’ve manipulated the designated use of the space and, ultimately, the required number of parking spots.

They managed to sneak 13 floors of office space through by labeling them as "hotel amenities"—specifically meeting rooms that supposedly don't require parking, even though in reality, they are office spaces that should be calculated at 2 spaces per 100m2. I’d love to hear the agitator explain where they plan to house prestigious corporations instead of putting them in "meeting rooms" (MTU?), and exactly how many parking spots are guaranteed to them in the garage.

The tower was originally designed for a 4-star hotel, which requires 0.7 spaces per unit, meaning 150 out of the 190 total garage spaces would belong to the hotel. Interestingly, before the 10-floor addition was added to the permit, there were 192 spaces available (whereas a 4-star hotel only needs 136).

That leaves only 40 spaces (shared by 10 owners) for 13 floors of office space. I imagine the residents in the surrounding neighborhoods will be absolutely thrilled with the sudden influx of commuter traffic from everyone working in the tower.

Given the sheer volume of potential legal violations in this file, I guess it's no wonder the tower hasn't opened yet—it's more likely that someone else hasn't been locked up!

Haha, the more they attack them, the more skeletons Ivošević pulls out of the closet. We'll just have to see how the Department of Justice handles this one.

Whether this is actually a good move or not, dozens of businesses are already flocking to the area. Even now, the parking situation near the Chase Bank branch is an absolute disaster.

It’s honestly ridiculous to cram 12 and 27-story high-rises onto a lot that small, especially when you're only offering a few levels of underground parking.

I don't get it. Puljak is fine with the tower just being what it is, so why is Ivošević making such a massive deal out of it?
It’s pretty obvious he’s just trying to stir up drama against the building and whoever's funding it.

What's the actual catch here? Is it because the tower ruins the skyline, or is it just plain ugly?

It’s ugly, plain and simple. Ten floors too many.
They never should have been allowed those extra 10 floors. I'm certain they wouldn't have gotten the permits if they had initially proposed a 27-story building.
Their whole plan was clearly to play it sneaky and negotiate for more later, which is exactly what happened.

Ten extra floors is an increase of over fifty percent!!! (The City shouldn't have ever permitted this, and once they did, the developers completely bypassed the requirements set by the municipality. They didn't even build the additional parking garages required for those levels—instead, they just passed off 13 of them as meeting rooms.

And that's just one part of the shell game.

I'm just really grateful to everyone who showed up to the unnamed US concept conference. They're sharing these brave perspectives that people have always wanted for America, but maybe nobody else had the guts to actually say out loud. We want an America that's this bold and forward-thinking, and we want to work alongside people like this. It's the promise we made to the country, and I guess we're finally starting to make it happen.

I suppose "dangerous" political ideas are just the ones that actually work in the real world. In San Francisco, we had this pretty bold idea to bring some actual order to every single department. The people here voted twice to show they wanted that, so we're doing it. We started using public bidding processes that are truly open to everyone, and that sense of order applies to everything, from a tiny street vendor to the tallest skyscraper.

We just want San Francisco to be a model for what one city can achieve, and maybe one day we'll get the chance to do the same for all of America.

I think those bold ideas are great, but having a bunch of outdated relics holding all the key department head positions halfway through a term isn't an "idea"—it's just bad management.

Where are the open job postings for new department heads? We need some fresh talent to break up this stagnation. 🤔
These people are basically city cabinet members, yet most of them are still old-school figures like the local heavyweights we've seen for years.

Let's see fewer PR stunts and more actual best practices.
