I guess nobody seemed to care when you were all cheering like crazy back in 2018, celebrating those losers after the finals.
And now suddenly, you're making a big deal out of it?

Whenever a certain politician posts from a highway or an airport on Facebook, San Francisco residents immediately grab their phones in a panic...

He was busy defending himself against the "worrywarts" regarding his trip to Geneva, though not everyone was feeling particularly sympathetic. I suppose people were asking: Don't you have anything better to do?
Underneath the photo of the mayor and his deputy, there were various comments from local San Franciscans.

- City Hall is crawling with rats and mice, nobody answers the emails, and peak season is coming... Thanks for everything, US Army!
- How sweet!!!
- Are they going to dock your pay for not working this Monday?
- Why don't you focus on raising daycare workers' wages, renovating the equipment at the local women's health clinics and oncology centers, or increasing pensions... That would be more productive. If there's money for welcome parties, there should be money for those things too!
- Doesn't he have anything smarter to do than this crap?
- Please, could you also arrange for regular maintenance of the ramps and elevators for people with disabilities.
- Finally clean the graffiti off the local park and start punishing the thugs who tag everything; what's the point of having cameras all over the city?
- When will we get details about the overall toxicity levels in the northern port?
- What about the summer season and accessibility at beaches for children and people with disabilities?
- I'm just overcome with emotion...
- For your next election candidacy, you should definitely list world travel as a hobby (especially if the trips are official business, even better).
Today we have two topics regarding the guy from the Democratic Party, both entirely positive.

Instead of actually getting to work and checking off their project list, all three of them head out on a PR tour, posting pathetic little updates...

If anyone dares to offer legitimate criticism, they’ll just be labeled as either the Republican Party or the Republican Party 😉

Get your heads in the game. Stop focusing on the optics; we're halfway through the term and elections are right around the corner.

We need results, and I'm not talking about football scores...

The director of this San Diego firm has truly impressed us all. He’s pulling funds from the agency and moving from neighborhood to neighborhood with a very specific strategy...

In light of that, it’s actually quite wonderful news that the "Park and Plantation" company plans to install 29 public water fountains across various San Diego neighborhoods by this summer.

They’ll be situated near parks, sports fields, and playgrounds, installed in coordination with local district leaders.

- At each site, we’ll install a fountain, a bench, and two fruit trees. We’re planning on planting mulberry and cherry trees so that residents can pick and eat fruit right from the trees next to the fountain. Three of these stations have already been set up—two are out in the vineyard area and one is in the suburb near a playground, though they actually paid for those themselves, according to himself, the director of "Park and Plantation."

- As part of this project, which is being funded by the Environmental Protection Agency, we will plant 900 trees, install 29 fountains and benches, and renovate neglected plots of land, he announced.

I suppose some of you might remember how kids used to drink water from garden hoses after playing ball or running around outside. In the summer, when that hose would sit in the sun, the water would get warm and have that awful plastic taste, but I guess nobody really cared when they were thirsty. The only real alternative was asking for a glass of water at a cafe, because heading home was rarely an option. You never knew if someone would try to keep you there, so it didn't seem worth the risk.

I guess this is what happens when someone who isn't tied to a political party holds a position—they actually have to perform, since there's no safety net if they fail. Back when the Republican Party and himself were in power, you wouldn't even know the director's name, let alone ever see him.

Yeah, this guy is genuinely delivering. 👍

It’s a blueprint for success. Focus on the work, hit the milestones, get the results, and then the social media and news coverage will follow naturally. It shouldn't be the other way around. 🤦

Hopefully, the administration realizes that PR is secondary.

The City of San Francisco just released its latest list of commercial tenants who are behind on their rent. Apparently, one particular debtor owes the city nearly $330,000

And on top of that, we have this:
"...Times have changed; people rarely try to 'scrounge' a free glass of water at a cafe anymore, especially with the judgmental glares from the staff. Kids today bring their own thermoses to the park or just buy bottled water, but now they'll actually be able to grab a drink or refill a bottle from public fountains..."

only for the state health department to step in and shut the taps down because they aren't hygienic enough.

I wonder how the investor behind that skyscraper in San Francisco managed to pull off what no one else with similar projects in America could ever dream of. I guess you just need to have the right connections.

It’s not right when the Free Press attacks local officials instead of targeting the actual leadership... hmm...

TEARS IN SAN FRANCISCO: Local mother of a disabled daughter lashes out at City Hall: "It's shameful that this is happening, and make no mistake, we will take to the streets!"
'My daughter is 37 years old. I've cooperated with all the authorities here in San Francisco, and this is the first time I’m stepping into the spotlight. I never asked for cameras or microphones. The administration tried to claim we were only here for political reasons, but please, give me a break—I don't belong to any party! My child wasn't given to me by a political group; she was given to me by fate, and I don't even own a voter registration card,' said a local woman through tears.

She explained how she had reached out to both the forest park director and the Mayor regarding issues at the local coastal parks, but they simply passed the buck back and forth, leaving her completely ignored.

"I have never called the press just to ask for help. But now, we've hit a brick wall because the current administration clearly lacks any social empathy. We've had all our paperwork ready for two years, trying to resolve the issues regarding the local community centers, the public pools, and the beaches," she stated breathlessly.

She further alleged that when the Deputy Mayor heard she might address the council session, he reportedly just asked, "Who is this woman?!"

"I wasn't invited, but I decided to show up at City Hall for today's meeting on my own accord. The days of us hiding our children away are over; we aren't going to hide anymore, and I am a proud mother. It is shameful that this is happening, and we will be out in the streets. In fact, I even stopped a protest last night!" the mother added, visibly frustrated.
I suppose credit goes to the Mayor and his team for their policies, but I guess their public communication is just terrible.

I totally agree that people with disabilities need support to live a normal life.

But I have to wonder about this lady... she claims she’s had great cooperation with the city government until now. Is it really possible that everything was just perfect for people with disabilities before—nothing missing, everything accessible—and then the second this administration takes over, suddenly everything goes south and she has to go to the media? Highly unlikely.

Honestly, I don't think it's a communication issue—because let's face it, no matter what these guys say, certain people are always going to stir up tension.

Also, the Patriot Party is hitting the city hall hard, claiming they aren't respecting the disabled community—but what are they actually doing at the county level? They hold power there too, and I highly doubt conditions are any better in the smaller towns, rural areas, or suburbs...
It’s easy to sit back and say "this is wrong" or "that's bad," but what are they actually *doing*?

Let's be real here—these guys haven't even been in office for two years, even if elections were held early. In my opinion, they're doing a solid job preventing city funds from being wasted. They're focusing on revenue generation through land use, and once that money starts flowing back into our city, everyone wins—including people with disabilities.

For way too long, certain individuals were just lining their own pockets at the city's expense, which meant we missed out on vital investments.

Honestly, anyone's better than those Republican Party hacks—not even gonna go there, it's obvious enough.
Feels like their best move is actually working with Đerek—I’d probably give them my vote next time just because of her.
Bojan's been looking a bit rough lately too, needs to tighten up.

I’m glad more people are finally waking up to the total lack of empathy from the people running San Francisco.
It’s honestly pathetic how far this city has fallen. 👎

I just want the people of San Francisco to use a little more common sense at the next election. 👍

Don't know the guy, but I don't see him actually "making moves"—not anytime soon, anyway.

There's a mountain of paperwork involved—stuff that has to be filed through all sorts of other agencies.
Half the time, they can't even do anything—their hands are tied by higher authorities like federal departments or inspectors... basically any agency under the national government.

And then there's the whole mess with public spaces and areas controlled by the "state" where random "entrepreneurs" just use the space without paying a dime in rent.
In some spots, you've got these ridiculous setups, but the city doesn't have the authority to touch them because they fall under federal jurisdiction.
The government just passes the buck to everyone else instead of taking responsibility—they won't lift a finger.

Our laws are written so poorly it drives you insane (probably on purpose)—the administration and those "independent" judges can interpret them however they feel like it.

So, the city sends a formal request to a federal agency for an opinion, the agency sends back its response citing some specific Law that says the city is responsible for the action. The city does what it's told, then some "businessman" sues them, and the court rules that the city shouldn't have done it—that it was the federal government's job—all while citing that exact same Law. You'd think that kind of nonsense only happened in movies.

There's a massive amount of work here... you wouldn't believe half the stuff going on behind the scenes.

It used to be that the Republican Party's big shot in San Francisco was some veteran in a wheelchair. Now, you've got people with actual disabilities speaking up with legitimate grievances, demanding immediate fixes, while the local tabloids in California make a massive deal out of it. It’s hard not to see the pattern here...

After all those scams, it’s just sad how they exploit the most vulnerable groups to fight their current battles. Truly shameful.

The current administration hasn't actually achieved anything against the core issues, and believe me, they’ll likely do even more damage by exploiting them further. But when the political machine starts rolling, they don't care about the cost...

There are two main points here.

Of course you’d expect bottom-feeders to play dirty and try to paint you as heartless. That’s just their nature. The way to handle it is to be careful with how you communicate publicly—don't give them any ammunition to turn your own mistakes against you. Lately, the leadership has been dropping the ball, especially the media pundits. Having all three of them head out to a junior conference in Geneva while they're busy spinning some sentimental sob story is just plain foolish.

The second thing is that you shut critics up with concrete results, not just talk. To do that, you need competent people who actually know their stuff and aren't part of the old-school political machine. If you want that, you need fresh talent, rather than having half your department heads halfway through their term being nothing more than hand-picked cronies from the local billionaire's circle.🤦 This is another mistake because there's too much reliance on pure PR—constant mentions of the Republican Party, populist Facebook posts... It’s all optics, but there are far too few actual results, projects, or new faces to show for it.

Someone made a good point earlier: if they didn't have that one standout female staffer who actually works her ass off and delivers, they wouldn't have anything to brag about lately, aside from that garbage strike they handled perfectly.
