The moment Russia starts truly losing, China will make its move on Taiwan.
History shows us that communists don't value human life at all; if they need to sacrifice 5 million Russians or Chinese citizens to keep the communist machine running, they'll do it without blinking.

The USA took over both Iraq and Afghanistan relatively easily, so I'm not quite sure what you're getting at there. What the USA *didn't* do was annex those countries.
Anyway, everything about your first sentence is pretty transparent, so there's really no point in wasting any more breath on it.

I think you might have cut off there? You just typed "wor" and nothing else. Was that supposed to be "work," "worse," or maybe you were just starting to type something about the world? Either way, I'm sitting here waiting on the rest of it! Give me the full thought so I can actually react to what you're getting at. [User Name] says:
We really thought they wouldn't invade Ukraine, you know? Like, we honestly didn't think they'd go and cut Russia off from the West, or basically wreck their own country in the process. We never saw it coming—that they'd be committing such inhumane war crimes on a daily basis. Just... we didn't see any of it coming.
But man, we really did go through all that, didn't we?
Honestly, anyone with even a shred of common sense has already bailed on Russia. What’s left behind? Just a bunch of brainwashed idiots soaked in propaganda and people who are too broke to get out. They're stuck between starving at home or getting dragged into a war they don't understand. They have zero clue why they're fighting, who they're fighting, or even what the hell is going on.
I’ve honestly never seen a more pathetic group of losers than these mobilized guys. Seriously, I haven't seen anything like it in my entire life. You couldn't even trust them to watch over a flock of sheep, let alone hold actual weapons.

Bottom line: we could still be in for anything, and honestly, some pretty nasty surprises. Hitler has basically proven he’s willing to pull any kind of sick stunt just to feed that massive, narcissistic ego of his.

Spot on description, and honestly? I’m right there with you. Living here in the States, I spent most of my time thinking this was just typical CNN sensationalism—you know, the media just cranking the volume up to ten like they always do. But man, I was wrong. It’s clearly not just hype. We're dealing with a total madman fueled by massive complexes, and I really don't get how anyone still thinks he's just bluffing. Just look at his speeches since the aggression started. He’s constantly bringing up the USSR, acting like Ukraine doesn't even exist, and throwing the West's colonial past back in our faces. It's wild. This guy is way more of a megalomaniacal paranoid than he even seemed less than a year ago. At this point, a desperate, pathetic nuclear launch isn't even out of the question.

The generations of Germans born in the mid-20s were totally brainwashed by all that propaganda, so honestly, it makes sense why they’d see joining the SS or some other officer school as the ultimate badge of honor. I mean, from the moment they were born, all they ever knew was Adolf and his party. It’s not even that different from what an average young Russian is dealing with today, regardless of how much the internet changes things.

Deus Ex would have survived that too🙂

Aside of that, a nuclear launch—to put it bluntly—is nonsensical, and this entire circus regarding the annexation of four Ukrainian regions serves as clear evidence that such an escalation is unlikely to materialize.

Putin loves making reckless moves, but I suspect even he realizes he isn't capable of anything beyond his current level of chaos.

And enough that the Iron Dome is basically running like a damn disco night and day. 😁

Imagine if some foreign troops—say, from Mexico or somewhere—had been raining hell on us from above for 30 years straight. 😁

No sane leader would ever risk "a million" nukes over Ukraine just to hit ten targets in Moscow, New York City, or other major US cities. You're delusional. Returning nukes to Ukraine would solve the nuclear threat issue entirely. Then they could just fight with conventional weapons and we could see who actually holds more power in a standard conflict. Generally speaking, this scenario of returning nukes to Ukraine won't happen because it is far too dangerous. But you can never truly know what Putin intends next. I suspect Odessa is his next pipe dream for reclaiming territory.

There’s constant chatter about handing nuclear weapons back to Ukraine.
From where?
Where did those warheads actually end up?

They ended up in Russia.
Google the Budapest Memorandum.

What good are twenty or fifty potential Ukrainian nukes against thousands from Russia?
Nothing.

It still boils down to X thousand Americans versus X thousand Russians.

If we are talking about full-scale nuclear madness.
A handful of nukes in Ukraine won't change a thing. And let's not even get into why this is in NOBODY'S interest... for countless reasons.

The US knows that Ukraine is actually a chaotic, disorganized, nearly unformed state riddled with corruption at every single level. They don't need fools like that holding nukes.

They already have enough to deal with, like having to manage Israel and their nukes and everything else.

A balance of terror, I suppose.

If Putin hits a Ukrainian brigade near Liman with a tactical strike, the Ukrainians hit a Russian brigade near St. Louis.

Then you get this massive shockwave within Russia itself.
If they start hitting Kyiv or Lviv, the Ukrainians could potentially retaliate against Moscow or New York City.

In Russia, you'd likely see a domestic uprising, and I imagine plenty in the armed forces would refuse to escalate things to a nuclear level.

Even now, since mobilization started, it seems like regular citizens in Russia were pretty willing to support the aggression against Ukraine—until it starts hitting them personally.
And the ruling elites, too, I think.
Faced with the prospect of a nuclear holocaust, many would probably start questioning if this is all worth it, just to feed Putin's ego.

Russia just vetoed that UN resolution condemning their annexation of the Ukrainian territories. Honestly? It’s totally predictable and follows the script perfectly.

China held back, and India did too. Maybe this finally serves as a wake-up call for the West so they realize India isn't exactly riding with us—they were more aligned with the USSR back during the Hadan War.

At least the masks are finally coming off. They've shown that all that talk about respecting "Ukraine's territorial integrity" is nothing but hot air. Now, when people claim the West is being dishonest, they can point to this and say these supposed beacons of "truth" aren't so bright after all. 🤦

Now I can finally shut down those arguments about how Taiwan doesn't have the right to self-determination or all that "one China" nonsense.

Yawn... just another battleship troll. I really hope the moderators step in and clean this up soon. You see someone actively assaulting and abusing someone weaker, and your response is "I'm staying neutral"? ☕ Yeah, right.

It’s almost like you’re saying:

I’m an official, certified troll with a handful of posts who fully supports Russia's criminal aggression against Ukraine...

There’s been all this talk lately about a shifting global order. Honestly, looking at how fast China is moving, they’ve already started seizing the momentum. Meanwhile, Russia seems to be losing ground, and with the current war, it’s going to be incredibly difficult for them to try and dictate any kind of new world order without facing massive international condemnation.

Blinken claims the US is taking Putin's threats seriously, yet they haven't seen a single move suggesting he actually intends to go nuclear.
In other words... it's just barking for the domestic audience. All that cringe we saw yesterday was exactly that. Outside of Russia, nobody is actually sweating his rhetoric—not even the dictators he hangs out with. Now, they’re just leaving him hanging.

What masks?
Putin views China and India as his most significant allies. If they're staying neutral, it actually just proves he doesn't really have any true allies.

They definitely count as allies, especially considering their economic and trade ties are so strong—and honestly, those connections are only going to get tighter.

They are allies, regardless of any bad blood from the West; both sides can offer plenty of leverage, which is pretty much common knowledge by now.

China is the ultimate letdown here, especially considering they were one of the signatories of the Budapest Memorandum. They just can't claim neutrality...

I suspect that isn't quite the case; it seems to be limited to the United Kingdom, the USA, and Russia. I find myself in agreement with that sentiment.

They aren't allies; they're just trading partners.
True allies are the countries in NATO, because they’ve actually committed to defending one another militarily.
Russia doesn't have allies. It just has a colony, sort of like Belarus.

Still, you managed to sell the idea that they have these "massive economic and trade ties," which is honestly a joke. Pure fantasy. Just take a quick look at the actual import and export percentages.

Western diplomacy needs to step up right now to minimize the number of "neutral" votes during the UN General Assembly. If 90% of nations refuse to condemn the very thing the UN was built to prevent, the whole organization becomes a joke.
The world needs to deliver a clear, unified condemnation.

Exactly. I can't speak for India, but China definitely isn't.
The most significant markets for China are clearly in the West.
I'm pretty sure the Chinese CEO is already pulling his hair out. You could see it during that summit of dictators—he was going out of his way to avoid him.
The formal pleasantries are mostly just a result of the CEO playing nice. He knows he's in deep trouble, not just a bit of trouble, if China decides to screw him over.
