Best gaming PC build for $750 - $850?

I was wondering if someone could help me put together a parts list using an online retailer—it could even be from Micro Center. I’m trying to figure out what kind of performance I can actually expect from a gaming PC with a budget of up to $5 $167. Honestly, my only real goal is to be able to run newer titles on at least medium settings without too much trouble.
I definitely need a hard drive with at least 1 TB of capacity. As for the rest, I'd prefer an Intel Core i5 or Core i7, and if it's within reach, an Nvidia graphics card would be ideal.
Thanks in advance to everyone for the help. (I already have a keyboard, mouse, and speakers, so no need to include those)
Also, if we can squeeze a decent monitor into this price range, I'd love that. It doesn't need to be anything massive or fancy.

I am curious, though—is there room to upgrade the RAM down the road, and if so, what is the maximum capacity in GB?

The motherboard supports up to 64 GB of DDR4 and features four slots for DDR4. Adam Moore3 made a small mistake by listing a single 4GB DDR4 stick from $68 when he actually meant 2x 4GB for a total of 8GB, which is perfectly fine for now.

You're getting 16GB of DDR4 memory at 3200MHz in dual channel right away. The graphics card is a little weaker than what we discussed, but at least you can still take advantage of FreeSync.

Go with that Samsung monitor up there. Even if it's a tiny bit cheaper, I'm betting it’s a much higher quality build than that Philips model, which can be pretty hit-or-miss. At this point, that other brand is basically just riding on its reputation, and honestly, most buyers are just looking for something that pairs perfectly with an Nvidia GPU anyway.

That Philips model comes with DisplayPort, so if they decide to upgrade to an Nvidia card down the road, FreeSync will actually work. With that budget Samsung, you're stuck—it only has HDMI, which means it’ll only play nice with an AMD card. Honestly, looking at the specs, I don't think that Philips is any worse than that entry-level Samsung.
The buyer didn't "demand" an Nvidia card; they just asked "if it's possible," so it wasn't a hard requirement.
