Still nothing. Even Omicron has fizzled out.

South African doctor who raised alarm about omicron variant says symptoms are ‘unusual but mild’

People are just hooked up to machines.

I mean, Americans wouldn't even have anything to talk about on a forum if we didn't have the letter X in our alphabet, right?

Nothing beats firsthand experience. If I were the head of ABC, we’d be airing footage and statements from people in critical condition every single day. Or from survivors who are now disabled and can't even make a living anymore.

Then you'd see exactly how the vaccination line would look.

As for my beautician, I’ve cut my visits down to a bare minimum, and from what I can tell, there isn't a rush for appointments anymore. Let her stay anti-vax if she wants; I don't give a damn. I doubt she actually got the shot—I think she's just talking big to keep the business running and avoid some fine.

So what, we just have Mexican and American versions of the same nonsense now?

Come on, use like 99% of your brain for once and try to figure out why they didn't just call the variant xi?

What is it going to take for you to finally see this?
I think I read somewhere that Xi was bypassed just because of the Chinese. Not the alphabet.

I'd probably spend my days showing you the CDC's mortality statistics broken down by age group... ☕

Looks like someone finally did some reading and put it into English. ☕

South African doctors say: OMICRON DOESN'T CAUSE SEVERE ILLNESS

The designation is irrelevant; what actually matters is the emergence of new mutations that have the potential to render our current vaccines completely useless.
Personally, I am all for protesting against vaccine mandates, provided everyone at the rally isn't wearing a mask.
That would actually demonstrate that people genuinely want to protect themselves without bowing to totalitarian overreach.
As it stands, these protests are nothing more than a disorganized mob of idiots.

Oh, absolutely; when the very individuals tasked with setting the standard fail to meet even the most basic expectations, one can't help but feel a profound sense of exasperation at such sheer absurdity.

Since you asked, yeah, they really are.
It’s like their whole existence depends on hitting up a Christmas market or going on a ski trip in Aspen, or else they just cease to function...

I guess what's the neighbors gonna say if you don't head out to Denver this year? 😲

Give me a break. I was against the vaccine mandates from day one, and even though I have my documentation, I haven't had any reason to use it yet, but we really need to stop breathing down the necks of young people. A huge number of them just got vaccinated so they could get their lives back and avoid being coerced—which, if you ask me, was pretty foolish—and now people like you are judging them for actually following through on what was promised to them. It's getting a bit ridiculous; what more do you want from them?🤦>

Westerners took those initial recommendations—hand washing, social distancing, mandatory masks—far too easily.
They couldn't even breathe, and their basic freedoms were completely stripped away.
Then they were handed a vaccine that we still don't fully understand in terms of its actual efficacy or long-term impact; and clearly, the virus is circulating more than ever after the shots, likely because everyone who got vaccinated rushed right back into "normal" life under the false impression that the ordeal was over once they were jabbed.
And now, here we go... a new mutation.
We shall see if those vaccines paired with those ridiculous digital passes actually achieve anything at all.

It’s just biology that viruses mutate. Doctors are starting to report that symptoms are getting milder, which lines up with how these things work—the virus tends to weaken over time just to stay viable, yet you people are already acting like it's the end of the world.🤦

What we're actually dealing with is a pandemic of fear and panic.☕

Mutation is a natural part of the process... though I certainly hope it doesn't find a way to become even more adept at bypassing our immune systems.
The medical community doesn't have any definitive answers yet, considering this specific strain was only flagged two days ago.
We aren't facing an apocalypse, but it is an absolute tragedy that people continue to spread the virus because they're clinging to their personal ideologies instead of following basic safety protocols; they are completely underestimating the situation.
If this thing happens to mutate into something truly dangerous, we can point the finger directly at all these anti-maskers who insist the whole virus is nothing but a hoax.

Are you kidding me with this "anti-masker" talk for an aerosolized virus? Next time you step outside, take a look at what people are actually doing. You see these improvised rags that leak from every side or medical masks worn dangling under the nose for weeks on end... it's all about the appearance of compliance, while the moment someone actually forgets their mask, the police tackle them to the ground. 🤦

The mask is simple: it's basically an advertisement for the pandemic.
