UNVERIFIED AND UNSIGNED!
https://www.logicno.com/politika/kre...-hvala-ti.html

"It should be stated immediately that these guidelines carry no binding authority and must be taken exactly as they are written. They are guidelines—or rather, recommendations. This is clearly evident from the text itself, which mentions this repeatedly. There is no legal way to sanction anyone for failing to follow these recommendations. Therefore, teachers, professors, and students cannot be sanctioned in any way if they find these guidelines harmful or useless. To date, not a single misdemeanor or any other legal proceeding has been finalized against anyone in America for violating these measures, and I don't even have information that one has been initiated. Thus, the idea that we must strictly adhere to these measures is simply a myth. Children, in particular, are under no obligation to follow these recommendations. Besides, the harm these measures cause to children is common knowledge."

Principals, teachers, professors, and staff should not indulge in excessive zeal and treat these (at best, educational materials) as some kind of mandate. Specifically, they should avoid pressuring children, belittling them, or claiming they are required to wear masks, disinfect their hands, and so on. We saw far too much of that over the last two school years.

I recommend that principals, teachers, and professors read these Guidelines. In fact, these Guidelines are significantly less strict than the previous ones. Let’s look for ways to make life easier, not harder.

If parents feel that masks are unnecessary or harmful, they should simply inform the school, or whatever institution their child attends, that they consider the recommendations detrimental and have instructed their child not to wear a mask, not to disinfect their hands, and that they will allow their children to socialize and play without distance, etc.

A parent has the right to come into a school and request information not just regarding their child's behavior, but also concerning how the institution treats the child. The institution must respect the rights and obligations of parents, as well as the rights of the children.

Children have the right to full medical assistance without unnecessary obstacles. Parents should clearly demand this wherever it is being withheld."

Here you go, officially signed and published in the Federal Register.

Maybe you can find something to complain about regarding the missing stamp then.

Thanks.
The guidelines from the CDC and the Department of Education still haven't been signed, and frankly, we have no idea which group of bureaucrats is just recycling last year's rules behind the scenes.
If we're stuck with this "pandemic-style" schooling indefinitely, then after two years of COVID-19, I am officially done with people just copying old instructions and listening to Šimetinka’s nonsense about kids wearing masks just so they feel like part of the team.

The Government is standing behind them, and the Prime Minister personally signed the decision.

The decision makes it perfectly clear that everyone is required to follow the CDC's guidelines as well as the Department of Education's models and recommendations.
II.

Elementary schools, high schools, and preschool facilities under organized management are required to act in accordance with the Guidelines for preventing and controlling the spread of the COVID-19 epidemic regarding the operation of preschools, elementary, and high schools during the 2021/2022 school year, issued by theCDC.

III.

For students in elementary and high schools during the 2021/2022 school year, instruction will be carried out according to the teaching models established in the Models and Recommendations for operating under conditions related to COVID-19 during the 2021/2022 academic year, set by theDepartment of Education.

I don't think the government even has that kind of authority

Yeah, tell that to Milanović. The Supreme Court already ruled everything is totally legal and constitutional

that’s why all those guidelines don't actually carry any legal weight, since apparently everything is already following the law....

Why don't we just have a dedicated task force to handle these kinds of decisions?
Why does the Government feel the need, for the second time now right before the school year starts, to play this high-and-mighty authority figure, insisting that we all have to follow the CDC's lead regarding classroom instruction?

Besides, if you interpret this government decision correctly, it applies strictly to principals and heads of major universities.
It has absolutely nothing to do with the general public, nor does it affect students or pupils.

It doesn't say "everyone"—it specifically applies to principals and heads of major universities. 🥱
This decision is just another classic move by Plenković to dodge any actual responsibility.

Why on earth are they asking for a PCR test for third graders just to go on a nature school trip?
It's for the Red Cross camp on Mount Sljeme!

Sure, maybe... but on what actual basis, though? And honestly, why even push this school thing right now, given everything else going on?

I honestly can't tell if I'm losing my mind or if I just don't understand how to read comprehension passages. Based on the guidelines and recommendations provided, it seems like lower grades aren't even supposed to be wearing masks, if I've understood this correctly. I don't get why our local elementary school is being so insistent about masks everywhere except inside the classroom. I'll have to give the school a call tomorrow.

Honestly, nobody is forcing anyone, but they’re playing it safe so that no child ends up feeling like the odd one out.
That said, whether the lower grades in Elementary School have to wear them really just depends on the principal's call.
Last year, our principal was so strict he actually ordered that kids couldn't even move away from their assigned desks just to prevent them from getting too close to one another.

I am genuinely curious to see what the principal has to say tomorrow. I mean, the teacher informs us at the very start of the school year to familiarize ourselves with the recommendations and guidelines posted on the Elementary School website, and then the very next day, they're asking for something that isn't even mentioned there.

The rule is that you don't need to wear masks inside the classrooms. However, you absolutely have to wear them in the hallways, the restrooms, and all those other common areas around the school.

Is that referring to grades 1 through 4?

That goes for everyone, really. This whole thing about finally being able to ditch the masks applies strictly to the classrooms.

Honestly, grades 1 through 4 shouldn't even be wearing masks. They shouldn't have been required to last year, either.

Well, looking at these specific guidelines, it technically says they aren't required to—and sure, on paper, that might be the case. But honestly, having spent a good chunk of last school year bouncing from one campus to another, my experience was a bit different. Everywhere I went, the administrators were quite adamant, telling me that their policy actually mandates masks in all the hallways and common areas, not just inside the classrooms. At least, that’s how it played out in practice in every single school I stepped foot in.
