Amanda Hughes37 said:Everything is posted exclusively on the school website. When things start, which classroom to go to, the first day schedule, subsequent days, COVID-19 protocols... oh, and another COVID-19 rule: no switching classrooms.

We don't do the whole switching rooms thing around here either

Monitoring and assessing the impact of mask usage among children
"If authorities decide to recommend masking for children, there needs to be a steady stream of data to track
the effectiveness of these measures. Monitoring and evaluation should be established from day one, including metrics that measure the impact on the child's health,
mental well-being, the reduction in SARS-CoV-2 transmission, the motivations and barriers regarding mask usage, as well as secondary
effects on development and learning, school attendance, communication skills, or school access—not to mention the impact on children with developmental
disabilities, medical conditions, or other special needs.
The resulting data should be used to shape communication strategies, teacher and caregiver training, parental support,
student engagement activities, and the distribution of materials that help kids learn how to wear masks correctly.
Analysis ought to account for gender, age, and physical, social, and economic factors to ensure policy implementation
actually helps reduce health and social inequalities."

I highly doubt that Fuchs, Šimetinka, and the company have any of this actual data or assessment.

On August 26, 2021, the CDC and the Department of Education released GUIDELINES for preventing and controlling COVID-19 in the 2021/22 school year.
UNVERIFIED AND UNSIGNED!
https://www.logicno.com/politika/kre...-hvala-ti.html

"It should be stated immediately that these guidelines carry no binding authority and must be taken exactly as they are written. They are guidelines—or rather, recommendations. This is clearly evident from the text itself, which mentions this repeatedly. There is no legal way to sanction anyone for failing to follow these recommendations. Therefore, teachers, professors, and students cannot be sanctioned in any way if they find these guidelines harmful or useless. To date, not a single misdemeanor or any other legal proceeding has been finalized against anyone in America for violating these measures, and I don't even have information that one has been initiated. Thus, the idea that we must strictly adhere to these measures is simply a myth. Children, in particular, are under no obligation to follow these recommendations. Besides, the harm these measures cause to children is common knowledge."

Principals, teachers, professors, and staff should not indulge in excessive zeal and treat these (at best, educational materials) as some kind of mandate. Specifically, they should avoid pressuring children, belittling them, or claiming they are required to wear masks, disinfect their hands, and so on. We saw far too much of that over the last two school years.

I recommend that principals, teachers, and professors read these Guidelines. In fact, these Guidelines are significantly less strict than the previous ones. Let’s look for ways to make life easier, not harder.

If parents feel that masks are unnecessary or harmful, they should simply inform the school, or whatever institution their child attends, that they consider the recommendations detrimental and have instructed their child not to wear a mask, not to disinfect their hands, and that they will allow their children to socialize and play without distance, etc.

A parent has the right to come into a school and request information not just regarding their child's behavior, but also concerning how the institution treats the child. The institution must respect the rights and obligations of parents, as well as the rights of the children.

Children have the right to full medical assistance without unnecessary obstacles. Parents should clearly demand this wherever it is being withheld."

And just like that, as the school year kicks off, we’re seeing the usual finger-pointing directed at students and teenagers once again, this time coming straight from the head of the high school teachers' union:

She’s claiming that in high schools, the students are the issue rather than the faculty, suggesting that the kids should be the ones getting vaccinated. "Don't let your graduation night get ruined because you caught COVID-19," Lovrić remarked.

So, we continue on, watching this all play out like a predictable rerun..

As if getting vaccinated is some kind of magic shield that’ll stop them from catching anything....
Since only about 40% are even doing it? 🤔

I came across a rather striking statistic today: within Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, roughly 725 staff members across various elementary and high schools, along with 378 pedagogical workers in preschools, have recovered from COVID-19. This essentially means about 18 percent of the workforce there has dealt with the virus. I suppose that implies roughly one in every five employees has been affected by it.

Šimetinka just mentioned that kids aren't actually required to wear masks at school, but they choose to wear them just to fit in with the group.
And she's supposed to be a scientist?

"All school staff are responsible for mask-wearing," she noted, adding that the principal ultimately holds responsibility for the institution.

But what about the students who refuse to wear masks because their parents back them up?
When asked how to handle students who won't wear masks with full parental support, Pavić Šimetin stated that masks must be worn—if not for themselves, then to protect their own health—and emphasized that we must always consider the seriously ill children attending school. She added that it's hardest on a child if they are the only one in class not wearing a mask while all their peers are.

"It isn't good for the child; kids don't want to stand out from their peers, they just want to feel part of the team", she said.

An excellent piece regarding principal accountability.

My only critique is that they are wasting time writing articles instead of securing legal counsel to mount a collective push against principals and prepare for potential lawsuits.

So I guess fine, if there’s a kid with special needs in class, we just force every other kid to have that same struggle too? God forbid things actually work differently for once.

My wife keeps telling me she's completely over the whole mask thing—she'd really love it if she didn't have to wear them anymore...

But honestly, who is actually going to determine—and how, exactly—which professor is vaccinated and which one isn't? 😬

Well, I guess they might just scan a COVID-19 pass at the entrance or something.

Wait, you mean those two students playing security guard?
Seriously, Professor, even if the scan works, you still can't get into the school—which pretty much makes today's exams totally pointless! 🤣

Under the law, an employer isn't allowed to ask an employee about their vaccination status since that's private information. If that's the case, how are directors supposed to know who has been vaccinated?

Well, an employer can technically ask just about anything—and they can certainly receive an answer in accordance with the law. My point is, can they legally demand to see a COVID-19 pass?

On one hand, I suppose someone’s (non)binary status is strictly their own private business—it really should be matters of personal identity left alone.

But then again, you look at the reality of things—every single weekend, if people want to step foot into a football stadium, they’re being forced to produce a COVID-19 vaccination certificate just to get through the gates.

Just look at this afternoon commute on the light rail. We’re packed in here like sardines. If I’m going to catch COVID-19, it’ll probably be right here on this train—honestly. Between all these parties and concerts lately, people just aren't thinking.

But employer-employee relations are one thing, and a football game is another. I’ve already seen several lawyers argue that, legally, an employer can't fire someone for refusing vaccination, nor is an employee obligated to disclose their status. This means managers don't actually have much leverage. Plus, the deputy official mentioned today that there are no real penalties if kids don't wear masks in school, yet they keep pushing the mandate for grades 5 through 8.

Ahahaha, today at a high school, a professor gave his students a full lecture on "lizard people and the pandemic."
They're tearing them apart from the inside. In your face Fuchs!
