No clue. Yesterday was actually the first time I ever read anything you wrote.

Make sure you read my rap battle poetry.🙂

Look, if you actually drop a link, I might just give it a read 😁

Please, don't go derailing this thread into off-topic territory

Honestly, nothing recharges my batteries quite like a long weekend or a holiday break. It gives me all the energy I need to dive back into some serious reading and get chatting with everyone here on the forum.

Alright, look. It seems like most people living in a place like San Francisco actually love
this forum—and if they're dealing with any kind of addiction, they're basically leaning into it and having the time of their lives.

Congratulations
😬

I mean... when you're hooked on something, a forum is definitely a better outlet than cigarettes, right?

Yeah, totally. For sure. 😬

Valid excuses are worth their weight in gold.

I was honestly hoping for a slightly more intelligent debate here, but whatever—it is what it is. If it doesn't happen, it just doesn't happen. 🥳

Sometimes in life, we just expect way too much from things.

I actually reached out to Chuck earlier to ask for a week-long ban; I desperately needed some kind of digital rehab. I swear, this will be the only post I make today. 😬

It’s more than just wasting time scrolling through this forum; it’s the endless cycle of falling for every piece of digital clickbait that crosses my screen. The end result is always the same: a completely fractured attention span, a total lack of focus, and a workflow that moves at a snail's pace where nothing actually gets accomplished or even finished. It’s much easier to sit here and vent on a message board than it is to actually face those looming responsibilities and deal with them head-on.

I find myself in agreement; that is certainly a significant issue.

Most of us here fall into that Facebook generation, right? You know, the crowd between 25 and 40.

So, what exactly is a Steam library?

Check this out—it’s just the library where all your video games live.

And what exactly is there to debate? 🤔 We all know the definition of addiction; it’s not rocket science, and there isn't much room for philosophical navel-gazing. 🤷

Maybe the chronic addicts who spam a million posts should chime in with their "lived experiences," or perhaps the boss at Anderlon could step up and explain exactly how he recruited and manufactured these junkies. 😁

This is actually a really solid observation—there are plenty of users here who reach out to the mods via DM or public posts asking for a ban for a certain number of days or months. They’ll say things like, "I have a massive project at work," or "I'm finishing my thesis and need to physically stop myself from hanging out here." Basically, they recognize the pattern in their own lives.

Bold—you're hitting right on what I was getting at. Even if someone comes on here and writes, "I have a problem, I'm addicted to this forum," they are still—well, they're still on the forum. 😬 And then we all just sit around engaging in academic-sounding chatter, which doesn't actually do anything to enable or fix an addiction. 😬

Well, hell, first things first—Good day! I'm XYZ Corp, and honestly? I'm pretty much addicted to this place. 😁

I mean, honestly—I don't really think this is the right spot for Reddit. 😁

Would being a {half} addict to this forum make someone a second-class citizen?

You’ve completely missed the point by focusing on the technicalities of the game. That isn't what this is about. If you have the financial cushion and the mental fortitude to spend your life essentially shouting into the void of an online forum, then by all means, be my guest. Personally, I don't see any reason why anyone should be forced to tolerate being treated like a second-class citizen 🤷
