Honestly, I don't see the point in testing unless you actually have symptoms or some specific reason to need it. Especially when you have to shell out your own cash for it.
The person I'm talking about actually *did* get a call, and they were told the rest of the household didn't need to isolate. That's the issue here.
And this person doesn't have any symptoms at all. No fever, nothing. She was tested for a completely different reason—she needs surgery.
Now she’s tested positive, feels fine, and who’s to say the people living with her aren't also positive without knowing it?
They’re walking around spreading it to people who might actually die from it.
They go to work and live their lives like everything is normal, all while sharing a house with someone who is positive. It makes zero sense.
That’s why the numbers look the way they do. It isn't just because people are careless; it's because the public health officials are being negligent.
