I honestly don't get how anyone here can still expect any kind of real movement from the Republican Party.
The government and the party leadership were essentially the same people twelve years ago, telling reporters there was absolutely no crisis happening. Meanwhile, the rest of the world was already deep in the trenches, actually fighting the recession and taking real steps to fix things, while this group of clowns just stood in front of the cameras smirking and acting like nothing was wrong. They were basically just laughing off the whole situation.

I truly can't wrap my head around how someone could look at this crowd of incompetent idiots and expect anything positive to come out of it.
It feels like we're completely on our own at this point—just a matter of who manages to scrape by.

On the flip side, all that panic over the virus basically acted like a smoke screen for them. It allowed all sorts of shady business and questionable court rulings to slip right under the radar. For instance, an administrative court just ruled that the oversight commission didn't actually have the authority to question the Republican Party leader's close ties when it comes to making appointments. Then you have the Supreme Court, which just handed down a reduced sentence to a Republican official today—even though he funneled $120,000 into his wife’s company. By cutting that penalty, they’re essentially making sure the official stays in power.

Honestly, who knows what other even bigger messes are being swept under the rug? They’re banking on the fact that everyone is too distracted to notice what they're doing now.
I'll say it again—as long as this one party keeps running things without any real accountability, nothing is ever going to change in this country.

Andrej Plenković and Kovač are two sides of the same coin. Honestly, it doesn't matter which one they pick—the agenda remains firmly rooted in leftist policies. We haven't forgotten the mess in Marrakesh, the situation in Istanbul, or the influence of the Borg group and Tedeschi. We remember when they silenced dissent during the national team’s welcome ceremony, the failed referendums, and how the Democratic Party and the Independent Party were kept in power... All those Republican Party loyalists are cut from the same cloth; they stood by silently while the American people were being trampled, and now they actually think we have short memories. The way they are running this country is just fundamentally broken.

Fine, let them keep going for a little longer...

Wait, hold on—what’s the deal with the Istanbul Convention? I thought you were all about protecting women?

And yeah, regarding those two being basically the same thing... honestly, I can't say I disagree with you there.

Frankly, I couldn't care less about their stance on the Istanbul Convention or similar matters.

What actually matters is how they handle corruption and political cronyism. On that front, both Andrej Plenković and Miro Kovač are cut from the same cloth, though even they seem a marginal improvement over the former Republican leader, Tomislav Karamarko.

Josip Manolić is throwing shade at the Department of Justice, claiming they didn't step up enough to help Andrej Plenković during that whole SMS scandal involving Milijan Brkić.

So, Josip Manolić turned 99, and over at Fox, he mentioned that even former President Stipe Mason sent him birthday wishes. He also dropped a bombshell by naming his favorite politician—Andrej Plenković.

“My favorite politician is the one who actually takes responsibility—Andrej Plenković,” Manolić said, though he did add that, as of right now, Plenković hasn't bothered to wish him a happy birthday yet.

You really think they won't jump ship to another equally profitable party the second things get shaky?
People used to believe that once the old guard was gone, everything would be pure as honey. Instead, we're drowning in it.

It’s tough. I honestly don't think we'll ever see another criminal organization quite like this one.
The whole point of holding them accountable is to actually throw them in jail and strip away everything they swindled from the public.

I can't tell you how many people actually believed life would be perfect once we broke away from the old guard, though I suppose there were plenty of optimists—there's always a crowd of dreamers out there. At the end of the day, that old system never truly vanished; it just rebranded itself under a different name.

unknown is sending out motivational letters right before the election, paid for them with $67 'The candidates funded the letters using their own money'

unknown:
By the end of the week, over 160,000 Republican Party members should see motivational letters landing in their mailboxes. They’re signed by the candidate for party president, unknown, where he’s basically trying to explain to his colleagues why they should toss their vote to him and his team during the internal election this Sunday, March 15th.
unknown:
It’s pretty weird that in this case, a single individual covered the cost, and it was all paid upfront in cash rather than through a bank transfer—according to a source at the USPS. They’re claiming that nobody from the Change Option—not unknown, Ivan Penava, Davor Ivo Stier, Milijan Brkić, or Tomislav Tolušić—actually paid for the mailing service. Instead, someone else just "cashed out" nearly 40,000 US Dollars in cold, hard cash.
unknown:
The total amount we paid for the letters was $66, and the candidates funded it collectively with their own funds. The cash payment was handled by a member of our campaign staff at the USPS in a suburban US city, to whom the candidates handed over the money, said Silvana Oruč Ivoš, spokesperson for the Change Option.
I mean, who actually believes all five of them just happened to cough up 8,000 bucks each? 🙂 🙂

So, according to what was just being said on ABC, some guy mentioned that Andrej Plenković pulled out of the debate on PBS—they’re supposedly looking at one more backup date, though honestly, who knows if that won't be canceled too...

I don't know, when you start counting up all the guests, the camera operators, the sound engineers, the directors, and the assistants, you aren't looking at a group of 100 people. Why would a televised debate in such a controlled environment suddenly fall through? It feels a bit too much like they are just stalling for time before the election... how convenient, wouldn't you say?

The Prime Minister and leader of the Republican Party, Andrej Plenković, has confirmed that the party's internal elections will proceed this Sunday as planned.

"There is absolutely no reason to cancel anything, especially since we're dealing with a small group of people and we have taken every single precaution regarding safety and security," stated Andrej Plenković, the Republican leader and American Prime Minister.

It’s not 210,000 anymore. We're looking at a tiny group of people now.

For those who haven't seen it, 😁
An article from Newsweek — Miro Kovač is calling on the emergency task force to make a statement 😁

"The health of our fellow citizens is our absolute priority. Our primary duty is to protect human lives.

Regarding the elections scheduled for Sunday, March 15th of this year, over 200,000 members of the Republican Party hold voting rights. The election process is slated to take place across 567 polling stations throughout America, running from 8 AM to 7 PM. Every municipality and city will host one polling location, with the exception of Miami and Washington, D.C., which will have two and seventeen locations respectively.

Given that several thousand voters could potentially descend upon a single polling station within an eleven-hour window, I am requesting an urgent recommendation regarding whether we should proceed with the election as planned," Miro Kovač concludes in his memo.

The only way Kovač can hope for a win here is if Andrej Plenković somehow tests positive for COVID...

Yes, I caught the news this morning right after I posted my last thought... and honestly, I still can't help feeling a little disappointed that we likely won't witness a direct, heated verbal showdown between these two giants of patriotic ideology before things wrap up.

The party leader should just step down this Monday so we can head into elections by May. Whether it’s May or September doesn't really matter—there's zero reason to drag our feet.

Once the votes are in, we need to build a majority immediately and start purging those leftist holdovers from state companies, agencies, and other institutions. It's high time we finally install some true right-wing sovereignists in their place.
