It’s kind of funny—if you look closely—how while he and that unnamed US person are speaking, there's this perpetual twilight hanging over everything in the background 😬.

unnamed US person
Carol Newman2 said:And that is exactly why Joe Biden needs to be ousted from power.

No sane person would ever say something like that.

Actually, he wasn't talking about being inclusive to society at large, but rather regarding party inclusivity.

Even the Democratic Party is "inclusive," considering they have a former convict in Congress and that woman who made death threats against someone. That's party inclusivity, not social inclusivity.

Try being inclusive, unnamed US person, instead of clinging to such regressive views. 😁

Morgan Booth70 said:That Nazi-style portrait of Harmon hanging right there in the middle of the Republican Party headquarters is just... 🙏

Calling it Nazi imagery just because it shows Franjo Harmon with a small, blond boy who looks like his grandson? Really?🤣 🤣

So, I guess if we’re all born with blond hair, we’re all Nazis, and anyone who wants to deal with us is a Nazi too. Brilliant logic there—I'm sure that's exactly what America needs to become the next Switzerland.
The unnamed US person should probably jump onto the list for the unnamed US organization now that the unnamed US person is out; we could certainly use more of that level of intellect.👍

Jonathan Phillips4 said:Milan Škoro is actively sabotaging negotiations with Esih and that whole crew because he’s terrified they'll just end up being used as pawns. Meanwhile, Plenković is busy stuffing his list with Lučić, Deur, and even Culej for the fifth district—those are all just little chess pieces Škoro can pull out if things get messy

Total panic breaking out among the big shots at the square

If you actually look at things from the unnamed US politician's perspective, only an idiot would try to negotiate with the unnamed US person after everything that's happened—especially since one of his top advisors is the unnamed US person, who is essentially persona non grata with that group right now. Besides, the unnamed US person backed Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, not him.

Republicans gathered outside Congress ahead of submitting their candidate lists to the FEC

Just a sea of Republicans out there by Times Square. Honestly, seeing at least four times fewer people than what Joe Biden pulled.

Oh, absolutely. Just look at how sharply our colleague here spotted such subtle and utterly vile manipulation... you know, that totally innocent photo of some blond kid in Ronald Reagan's arms, which is clearly actually a sneaky, disgusting Nazi/fascist message about Aryan superiority... obviously they had to pick a blond kid, because heaven forbid they chose one with dark hair... bravo to our friend here; this country really needs hunters like him looking for fascist sympathizers everywhere!

I honestly can't wrap my head around why they keep those election lists under wraps. ☕

John Doe is talking about forming coalitions with parties that share his vision, but he still hasn't quite figured out which ones actually align with his platform... He says he’ll just wait to see how the election results shake out before making any moves. 🤣

John Doe is basically just a backup climber for Plenković,

someone like that has to stay level-headed and all that,

He basically admitted they know exactly who they won't work with—the Democratic Party and the Libertarian Party. So, yeah, it's the Republican Party. Not exactly breaking news at this point...

But think about the math for a second: what happens if the Republican Party pulls 48 seats, the GOP gets 20, and the Libertarians grab 6 to 8? Who are they supposed to partner with then?

The problem is the GOP won't work with John Doe, but the minority groups won't go in without him. It's a bit of a deadlock, isn't it?

That leaves the DP and... well, the Democratic Party. Let’s not underestimate Plenković’s ability to maneuver through such scenarios. He has proven himself to be quite a creative operator when his own seat is on the line; he knows that if he doesn't manage to assemble a government now, he likely never will again. Personally, the man seems indifferent to everything else. He's acting like a drowning man who would grab onto any floating debris just to keep his head above water.
The Democratic Party finds itself in a similar predicament, making this look like a potential win-win situation.
The real question for those parties is how they intend to vote over the next four years—assuming they even last that long—but that is a problem for a much more distant day.

Honestly, nothing can surprise us anymore. We're about to see a massive wave of self-preservation from all these political "leaders," more so than the parties themselves. It's pathetic, really.

The only thing that really rubs me the wrong way is how Plenković keeps tearing into Zoran Bernardić while being weirdly soft on Milan Škoro.

If that $7.5 billion package actually gets greenlit, I have a feeling we’re about to see some seriously wild political gymnastics from the two biggest parties as they scramble for control.

Well, he mentioned Restart. But you have to remember that Restart is essentially just a coalition.

I suppose Restart could potentially fall apart, leaving behind nothing but the Democratic Party, the American Peasant Party, the Reformists, the HSU, Snaga... and a whole bunch of minor players. 🙂

And what exactly do you expect? Do you think any Republican Party supporter—especially a spineless, power-hungry sycophant like Bačić—is actually going to admit the party will team up with Vulkan Pupovac or IDS once the elections are over?

Campaign rhetoric is one thing; reality after the votes are counted is something else entirely...
