Hello,

I am looking for some assistance or perhaps some advice.
Lately, I have been running into persistent issues with my downloads. Specifically, whenever I attempt to download a file of even moderate size, Mozilla throws a "failed download" error at me.
Just last night, I was trying to download an installer for Epic Games, which was only about 40MB, and Mozilla triggered ten separate "failed download" errors during the process.
I am trying to determine if the fault lies with my computer, my internet connection, the browser itself, or perhaps my Xfinity router.
What specific troubleshooting methods or diagnostic steps should I follow to identify the root cause so that I can resolve this once and for all?

Do you think you could try opening it up in a different browser and let me know if that does the trick?

If your connection keeps dropping out on you, you might want to try using a download manager. They're great because they can actually pick up right where they left off if the connection cuts out for some reason.
For example, check out Internet Download Manager.

I appreciate everyone taking the time to respond. I gave AT&T a call, and they informed me that the issue was actually caused by a recent firmware update on their router, which seems to have resolved everything on their end. Now that things are back up and running, I have a follow-up question regarding a separate technical hiccup. I previously had Epic Games installed on a Seagate drive that I have since removed from my system. After installing a new SSD, I attempted to reinstall the software, but I keep getting an error message stating that the E: drive is missing. Does anyone know how I might resolve this?

You really should have uninstalled everything from your Seagate drive before pulling it out—just because you disconnected the hardware doesn't mean the files are actually gone. Your macOS still thinks they're there. You should head into the Control Panel, find anything related to Epic Games, and uninstall it all. Once you've done that, just give your computer a quick restart and then try installing what you want again...

The Seagate drive where the game was originally installed actually failed. I swapped it out for a new SSD, which is why I ran into this mess.
I managed to find a utility online called Geek Uninstaller, which helped me scrub the leftover Epic Games traces from my system.
But now I've hit another wall. Every time I download the installer and attempt to run it, I get stuck with this error:

Do you have anything important sitting on your system partition? If not—and I mean really nothing you can't live without—just go ahead and format it. A clean installation of macOS should wipe out the problem entirely...
