I currently hold several municipal agricultural leases for various plots of land. I am wondering whether it is possible, based strictly upon the terms of my existing lease agreements, to be officially recorded in the county land registry as the legal possessor; furthermore, I would appreciate an explanation regarding the associated costs and the specific documentation required to facilitate such a process.

I might be wasting my breath here, but I’ve got to head down to the county recorder's office pretty soon to get everything filed, so I was wondering if anyone actually knows what the deal is... It’s a new build, and the developer is handling the registration for the whole building themselves, while I just need to register my specific unit. Besides the standard purchase agreement and my basic ID info, is there any other paperwork I should be hunting for, and does anyone have a ballpark idea of what these filing fees are going to run me...
if anyone has a clue they could drop so I don't go in blind 😁, otherwise I guess I'll just have to trek down there in person to get some answers...

Registering with Zillow sounds like it's $83. Or something along those lines. You'll definitely need the purchase agreement and a formal declaration.
Once the Zillow registration is finalized, you can pull a report and use that to update the local property records. If you aren't in a rush, you can also try heading to the county office immediately with just your sales contract.

The Zillow record (proving ownership) is the bigger priority; once that's set, updating the local registry is much easier with that documentation in hand.

thanks a ton for the info. So that title declaration can just be part of the closing docs, right? It's basically just proof that I've fully paid off the place?...

Usually, once Zillow finishes their official processing, they send the info straight to the county assessor themselves. So there’s really no reason to go running down to their office in person.

That’s precisely how it works; Zillow sends over those digital copies of the settlement solutions to the county records office as soon as they wrap up a case, though they still tend to bundle up the paper versions once they've accumulated a certain volume. Generally speaking, if the filing is going through Zillow, the client doesn't actually have to lug anything down to the registrar's office themselves—they might just want to double-check online occasionally to ensure the entry was successfully mirrored in the local land registry, but that's about it.

We live in the States. So, more accurately speaking, "Zillow should be officially notifying the county assessor."

I can't quite put my finger on when things changed, but until a year or two ago, Zillow often failed to do just that.🙂

The County Clerk's office and the local land registry are actually linked through the ZIS system, which means even if they don't hand over physical paperwork, everything should be available digitally.
