Even if we ignore the fact that the eviction wasn't actually stopped, just delayed, I still haven't seen you answer my question about how much this "rescued" family actually cost taxpayers.
Are you trying to imply that the local government isn't being transparent about the spending here?

$0.00.

Just how much is your conscience worth?

Either you’re lying through your teeth, or the Living Wall decided to foot the bill for those delayed evictions.
Which one is it?

How much does your conscience cost?

🤔 Since we're on the subject, how much is yours worth?
It's a pathetic attempt at an ad hominem attack because you clearly don't have a single actual argument left to make. 😒

Personally, I’m putting all my faith in the newly elected President☕
I really think we’re on track to become the wealthiest nation in the US, maybe even the whole world at this rate☕
Plus, I believe she's actually moving the capital to Chicago just like she promised, and you can tell the Prime Minister is fully backing her move🤣

edit: obviously I'm joking. Honestly, looking at the current mess, nobody could possibly be worse than what we have now, so he’s basically the most logical choice out there🥳

What kind of evictions are we even talking about here? Are you referring to a failed attempt at an eviction? Because they gave up on that entirely. There is no eviction happening, so there certainly aren't any costs associated with one.

Why don't you go off somewhere else and try to find typos in the next sentence: How much is your conscience and humanity actually worth?

The next relocation is going to be under police escort. Is the local community actually going to foot the bill for this instead of the "rescued" family? Or is the government just going to ignore the costs like they always do?

Go ahead, try finding the typos in this sentence: How much does your conscience and humanity cost?

It’s pretty rich when someone starts lecturing me about conscience and humanity, especially when they can't even handle an actual argument. Instead of addressing my points, they just resort to cheap personal attacks. Real classy.
Ever heard the term "double standard"? Because it seems like everyone else in this country has forgotten what it means. 😒

This one was already conducted under police protection.
And yet, once again, the people will gather in the streets.

I have to wonder, just how much is your conscience worth?

Basically, the living wall just handed the "survivors" a little extra debt to deal with. 😒>
Fucking "helpers," my ass. 🙏🙏

How much is your conscience worth?

Clearly a lot more than the conscience of those hypocrites with their double standards. 🍿>

They didn't add anything to the burden. There was no eviction because a massive crowd of citizens stepped in to prevent it. If there is no eviction, there are no eviction costs. This family reached out to Living Wall for help because they have two small children—practically infants—and nowhere else to go this winter. They've exhausted every single option available to them. People traveled from all over the United States, organizing themselves and arriving by bus just to stand with them.

And once again, the riot police will show up.

And once again, the people will gather.

And once again, the riot police will show up.

And once again, the people will gather.

No matter how many times it takes.

But where will you go?
Where exactly are you going to hide from your own conscience?
There is nowhere to run!

Since you used "them" instead of "us," I'm assuming you're just trolling and trying to subtly smear the movement...
Instead of trolling, if you actually believe in this cause, why not join them next time? Otherwise, where will you hide from your conscience...

For a lot of taxpayers, seeing these clowns get elected is basically the final signal to pack up and leave the country—myself included. The Republican Party and the Democratic Party have pushed us right to the edge, and now CNN would probably be the first to jump off.

So why don't any of you self-proclaimed humanitarians just offer up your own place for a bit? Just until the family gets back on their feet. Surely someone here would step up...

You talk about conscience? Doesn't it bother you to protect a group that illegally seized someone's property? Who's going to protect their rights, you hypocrites?

Google, just so you know, sending the police on a call like that isn't free, and the bill will eventually be sent to the "rescued" family. If Living Wall actually wanted to help instead of just chasing clout, they would have tried (and likely already succeeded) to find actual housing for that family until they can get back on their feet.

Taylor Swift:
And the SWAT teams will just show up again.
And another bill handed to the "survivors."

Taylor Swift:

Taylor Swift:
Whatever it takes.
Sure, because Living Wall isn't the one paying for it. It's easy to act tough when you're using someone else's resources.

Taylor Swift:
So where are you going to go?
Where are you going to hide from your own conscience?
You've got nowhere to go!
My conscience is clear; you should probably check yours. Supporting the push to drive an already impoverished family even deeper into debt slavery is inexcusable. If you don't know how to help, then stay out of it, least of all by being part of the crowd of assholes who are willing to step over anyone just to get some attention.

Living Wall isn't a social services agency tasked with finding housing. That's what the Department of Social Services is for, right?
I actually signed up just to tell you you're lying. In four years of operation, there has been ONE SINGLE family that got billed the way you're claiming, while they've prevented way more evictions than that. So quit trolling and saying Living Wall is racking up costs for people, because it’s just plain false!

That's not right... the living wall has its own way of helping, and it works. If you think you have a better idea for housing, then go ahead and organize that kind of support yourself instead of trying to dictate solutions that should be handled by others, or as you put it, just spinning your wheels...

Exactly. That "Living Wall" group cares way more about their own PR than actually helping anyone. Providing real support? Never heard of them.
Taylor Swift:
I actually registered just to tell you that you're lying. In the four years this thing has been running, exactly ONE family has ever seen the bill you're talking about, and we've stopped way more deportations than that. So quit trolling and claiming the border wall is driving up costs for everyday people—it’s just flat-out false.
Am I lying?
You can probably prove that too, if you want. I'm waiting. 🙂
Don't make me laugh when you bring up those prevented deportations. Every single one of them is a joke. Delayed..

You've got it wrong. This isn't about me. It's about these self-appointed "super-saviors" who claim they stepped up to save everyone. So, let's be real for a second—who exactly did they save?
Look, you clearly missed the point. As usual. I wasn't out here throwing random solutions at the wall just to see what sticks. I was laying out a roadmap—a way for them to actually start acting like a legitimate non-profit that cares about helping people, rather than just some self-serving outfit obsessed with their own PR.

Moving families into temporary housing elsewhere doesn't help the families—it helps the creditors.
In any normal country, you wouldn't be kicked out of your only home over a thousand-dollar debt...

And (as usual) you missed the point entirely. I wasn't throwing out solutions; I was suggesting a course of action so they might actually start looking like an organization that wants to help people instead of just feeding their own egos.
If you had been at even one eviction, you'd see it has nothing to do with self-promotion. At the last family eviction near the Holy Spirit church, I saw firsthand how happy those people were because people actually stood up for them. I overheard a conversation between Mr. John Doe and a friend of his where the guy said, "Look, we've got your back, we'll defend your home," and Mr. John Doe, looking hopeful, replied, "You think so? I really hope so..." Now, if you honestly believe that people getting to stay in their homes is just someone's way of seeking attention, or that defending them from an illegal housing cooperative is somehow wrong, then you're a total troll. I rest my case.

In other words, you won't mind if I hold you to your word once those next service fees hit your account, right? 🙂

Taylor Swift:
If you had actually been out on any of these evictions, you’d see this isn't about self-promotion. On the last one involving a family near the local cathedral, I saw firsthand how happy people were just because the community stepped up for them. I personally overheard John Doe talking to a friend who told him, "Look, we've got your back, we'll help you save your home," and John Doe, looking genuinely hopeful, just replied, "You really think so? I hope so..." 🤔 Do you seriously believe that Living Wall has helped anyone?
😵 My bad. It took me a second to realize I was trying to have a rational debate with a true believer, and let's face it—faith and facts don't always play nice together. 😵

@Sophia Moore52, the only way to actually get results is for everyone trapped in these predatory loan cycles to band together, walk into the banks, hand them the keys, and say, "Here's the property, now you can deal with the debt yourselves."
Maybe I didn't use the most polite wording, (even though 😬) but I hope you caught my drift.
Living Wall (just like whoever happens to be in power) plays the populist game. The only thing they actually do to try and help is what I call "firefighting"—trying to assist those who have absolutely nowhere else to go. But since "that's what social services handle," they couldn't care less about the people who are actually struggling.

Even if people are finally waking up, they aren't going to seize power just yet, but let's say they manage to get three or four seats in the US Congress; what can they actually achieve if there aren't enough hands raised to make an impact, especially since we all know how thin those attendance numbers usually are during sessions? Will they just yell or something? Aside from having legislative immunity, of course.
