Greetings everyone.

Does anyone happen to know how to handle this situation:

1. I have my Bitcoin and an account at Chase.
2. However, I am a bit stuck on what they mean by "password." I tried generating one and using the token, but nothing seems to work. Could it be asking for my debit card PIN or perhaps the PIN for my token?

I've attached a screenshot for reference.

I'm running into the same issue. I have Bitcoin, and I thought the passcode was supposed to be the one-time code from the app, but nopeβ€”nothing happens. For Mastercard, you just register on their site. For Maui, I have no clue what the passcode is meant to be.

*edit: Turns out the one-time code from the Bitcoin app does work; it just didn't take at first because I probably waited too long.

Hey everyone, does anyone know where I can find my maximum installment purchase limit on this new Chase app?

^ It doesn't really matterβ€”I stumbled upon it after poking around for half an hour, totally by accident. Honestly, the app is just horrible all around. πŸ‘Ž

How long can you wait before it times out?

I tried entering mine after about 5 seconds and it rejected me. Now my card is blocked because I kept trying and couldn't get it to work.

Anyone got some advice? I’m feeling pretty skeptical about banks right nowβ€”currently stuck with Chase.
I’ve only got a basic card, but I want to start buying stuff online since a lot of sites require 3D secure. What are the monthly fees looking like and what do I actually need to get set up? My folks have that little hardware token where you slide the card in to read it, so I could just borrow that from them...
Look, I’m not cheap, but I just hate dealing with banks. It feels like they tie a security guard to the counter because they don't trust us, yet we're expected to follow their every word without question.😁😁

To get started with Bitcoin, you’re going to need a Chase account, which is running me about $4.00 a month these daysβ€”that covers the online and mobile banking stuff too. If you're looking to dodge those fees entirely, there are other ways to go; I've looked into things like Goldman Sachs for their free options. Honestly, I'd suggest giving PayPal a shot, but they can be a bit of a headache sometimes because they'll demand an authorization every single time you try to top up. If you're feeling adventurous, you could always just borrow a card reader from a friend and see if that does the trick for you.

Good grief.
You can't just use someone else's token.
You need your own mtoken or the security key from your mobile banking app. None of that matters if you haven't even set up the agreement yet.

Actually, maybe it is possible? I mean, Chase reader cards aren't personalized, and the fine print suggests other people can use them too. I haven't actually gone out and tried it myself, so I couldn't say for sure.

If I'm reading this right, you could just opt for a dedicated card reader or maybe an mtokenβ€”there's a one-time fee involved, like $100 for the reader or $17 for the tokenβ€”which would basically be an alternative to using mobile banking.
You should probably check out the fee schedule on their website to be sure.
