I guess we should just hang tight since nobody really knows what's going down right now, though I'm honestly expecting them to just shut down my Google account because apparently you aren't allowed to have both a checking account and Google at the same time.

Of course, because you aren't allowed to hold two checking accounts. From what I can tell, Supersmart is just another checking account anyway.

I’m honestly relieved this was settled the way it was. There’s no sense in people rushing to pull their funds out like there's a panic. Let’s be clear: we’re talking about USPS Bank here—it's government-backed.

Fair point, but I want to see how everyone else is processing this. There’s bound to be a mix of perspectives and motives out there. No clue what the consensus is yet.

I’ve got some savings sitting in there. I didn't panic and pull it all out immediately since it wasn't a massive amount, and honestly, I figured I’d get my hands on the cash eventually anyway.
Now I'm going to Raise it and move everything over to a different bank. My experience with Wells Fargo has been absolutely catastrophic, and I have zero intention of ever being their client again.

Fair point, and that’s one reason right there. Sure, they call it Wells Fargo now, but the actual products and the way everything is processed still feel like you're stuck at JPMorgan Chase. It’s not really a true Wells Fargo experience until they finish migrating all the clients and services over to the new servers. Right now, it’s just JPMorgan Chase under a different owner, keeping all those old, specific products intact...

shadowcrane12,
Of course you’re leaving. If you weren't happy with Wells Fargo, why stay? We all move our money when the service slips. It’s not a big deal; it's just common sense. I only posted this because I care about keeping my savings secure.

I see they sold off JPMorgan Chase in Canada, but they're liquidating JPMorgan Chase in Austria.

I haven't really put much thought into my savings lately. Honestly, I'm sitting below the insured limit.

JPMorgan Chase will be operating under its own name in the coming weeks—maybe months—so there won't be any automatic account transfers happening today at noon.

Only once (and if) the merger actually goes through will we see any movement. We have to consider that Wells Fargo might want to sell, or they might not even get the green light for the merger. That’s when there will likely be an option to close out either the transferred JPMorgan Chase account or the Smart account.

What strikes me about this whole mess is how not a single one of the resident liberals has stepped up to protest this kind of government interference in the private sector.😁

So, word on the street is they’re dropping a brand new name and a fresh logo, but apparently, there's no merger with Wells Fargo happening until the US officially switches over to the Euro.

Why on earth would Wells Fargo sell? They picked up the bank for peanuts, and what that user posted shows they’ve walked away with a solid client base. I don't see any issue with the merger approval either; the Federal Reserve held a meeting yesterday and everything is already settled.

There isn't even a hint of war profiteering involved here, let alone any actual substance to such an accusation.

Are you still stuck with that daily limit of 4000 + 2000 + 1280?

It appears that the mobile banking application is still stubbornly refusing to function as intended, much to my profound disappointment 😢

It is entirely possible they are just experiencing an overwhelming surge in traffic right now, which would explain why 🤔
My mobile banking app is working perfectly fine, though I must say, for some inexplicable reason, I have never once been able to successfully transfer funds from my savings account to my checking account through the phone app—I can only ever manage to do it via the desktop site! 😢

Alright, so why is everyone just sitting around waiting to move their money? Is there something going on behind the scenes that we haven't caught onto yet?

Honestly? It's probably just pure stupidity mixed with some classic herd mentality.
