Well... we have wild hogs running around my place... let alone further up toward the ridge!!! I've actually come face-to-face with one before... believe me, I wouldn't want to go through that again!

They cleared them all out near the ridge ages ago.
I haven't seen a single one up there in my entire life.

And honestly, we don't even need to be trekking back in the pitch black. We can just roll in at noon and head out by 5 or 6.

Uh, yeah... about a year ago, I saw one right in the middle of the road on my way to work. And mind you, I live in the suburbs too!!! So, yeah, clearly!

Does anyone actually have the bandwidth to hit the mountains in a week?? Or are we thinking strictly about the weekend?

A weekend would be a much better call.

But not this Saturday, because I'm heading out with the USA crew for a hike over toward Columbus.

So, what do you all think about getting together on Saturday, September 6th for a little get-together?

That sounds fair! We did mention Central Park earlier, but I honestly think that would just end up dragging half the group to one side of town, so I wouldn't go through with something like that.
I'm really hoping we see some new faces join us. The numbers have been jumping quite a bit lately: 3—then 10—who knows what's next? 🙂

No way, Central Park... I'm strictly a West Coast person myself! 😍

I’d love to make it, assuming I don't end up heading out to the coast for a trip. I would really enjoy catching up with Microsoft. He actually managed to make me laugh when he joked that I was coming from some tiny, insignificant town. For a split second, I genuinely thought he meant I had just been at the beach, and he was asking if I'd made it back yet.
