Gregory Brown94, you’re clearly not being objective when it comes to Marvel. It’s obvious you’re a huge fan, which is totally fine—there's nothing wrong with loving something—but because of that, your post doesn't carry much weight for a casual reader just dropping by the forum. When someone is a die-hard fan, they tend to lose that sense of critical distance; everything becomes "perfect" or "exactly how it should be," almost like how people talk about Ridley Scott. I get where you're coming from, but I think mellowskipper was making a slightly different point than that.

Thanks for the critiques and suggestions. But being a big fan of something doesn't diminish the value or strength of my words or arguments. I mean, who could explain something better than me or any other MCU fan?

I'll try to do better so I can actually contribute to a meaningful community, though I'll always struggle with overly simplistic language. 🙂

Let's stop obsessing over finding deep, philosophical subtext in Marvel movies. For God's sake—these are two or three-hour popcorn flicks meant for entertainment, not profound treatises on the human condition or heavy social commentary.

So, since this is the latest from the MCU, it looks like Marvel is trying to trademark these names 😁

It honestly gives me the creeps whenever I see the phrase "New World Order" used like that, especially when it's being applied to something as incredibly mainstream as this.

Honestly, I didn't like the movie at all. One of the worst things I've sat through. The only bright spots were the visual effects 😁 and Christian Bale. He practically carried the entire production on his back.
Everything about it failed—from the plot and the CGI to the hollow character arcs and a rushed narrative designed solely to squeeze in more jokes. Nothing worked.

I actually had a blast with this one. It’s miles ahead of the last Doctor Strange or Eternals movies. The humor lands, the action is solid, and there’s just enough drama sprinkled in—plus, having Guns playing in the background is a nice touch. Honestly, if you count the last Spider-Man, this is easily the best thing the MCU has put out in Phase 4. For a two-hour commitment, you really can't do much better... 👍

It’s all just Masonry, the Illuminati, the NWO, secret agendas... the whole thing.

It’s all about this: Now, when someone searches for new world order, they'll just get hit with this garbage.

It’s a decent enough Marvel movie. Lots of CGI, plenty of jokes, and a fair amount of action. It’s basically just a romantic comedy disguised as a superhero flick. Probably fine to watch if you're hanging out with a partner who isn't really into the whole superhero genre.

Expecting deep themes or serious storytelling from Marvel is kind of like expecting a five-star meal at a local burger joint. The MCU is straight-up cinematic fast food. You just leave your brain at home for those two hours and enjoy the ride. I probably won't be rewatching this one.

I haven't actually sat down to watch the movie yet, mostly because my faith in the MCU has been wavering lately, but seeing that shot of the Celestials has left me feeling quite conflicted. It’s a bit unsettling, honestly; ever since I first read about them in the comics, I’ve been waiting for a proper cinematic introduction, and this sudden shift in their visual design feels off. They seem to be depicted differently in every single Marvel project, and even in Eternals, we got our most significant look at them, yet they bear almost no resemblance to how they appear in Thor.

I’m counting down the days until September 9th to finally catch this: :teeth: I mean, there's no way it can be a total disaster if Chris Hemsworth is starring in it; at the very least, it'll be easy on the eyes. 😁

I honestly didn't think it could actually be this bad, despite what everyone was saying. I'm just sitting here, throwing ash on my head.

Honestly, this was just a mediocre Marvel flick. I thought Ragnarok worked really well because the action and humor actually felt balanced, but this whole thing felt incredibly forced and rushed, I guess.
They really seemed to nerf Thor.

Is it actually possible that someone gave the green light to this 🙏🤣
?

Seriously, it feels like something whipped up by some kid at Nickelodeon or whatever random cartoon network they have running. It's embarrassing. There isn't a single ounce of gravity in the whole thing. How am I supposed to take Gorr seriously when they're serving up that absolute garbage involving Zeus? This movie doesn't even deserve a critique. Since Taika Waititi has been turning out pretty solid stuff lately, this is just a massive, head-scratching WTF moment for me.

Just watched it. It’s honestly just a pile of cinematic trash meant to be consumed and immediately forgotten. I suppose the golden era of Marvel effectively died with Endgame, and everything we've seen since then feels like nothing more than a desperate attempt to squeeze every last dollar out of a dying franchise.

Rebecca Hughes5 said:No—Jane just gets Thor's powers through some plot device. Chris is staying in the MCU, which is honestly one of the best updates we've had for the franchise lately.

I tried downloading this torrent and wasted two whole hours on it, but luckily I just passed out halfway through, though seriously, what an absolute piece of junk...

This movie was an absolute joke 😁 Honestly, seeing Zeus strip Thor down was enough to make the whole thing worth watching; otherwise, I’d have been looking for the exit early.😬

None of the MCU movies really make you stop and think about the themes being presented.
You watch them, wait for the post-credit scene to wrap up, and then just move on with your life without a single second spent pondering what you actually saw.
The runtime is basically just long enough to let you zone out for a bit so your brain doesn't have to work for those two hours—maybe even catch a nap... if you like the movie, cool. If not, whatever, it doesn't matter.
