So, what’s the actual distinction between someone who was in a long-term relationship for, say, five years before ending up here, versus someone who was married for three years and then found themselves in the same boat?

In my view, the only massive difference among singles in this group is whether they have kids—which doesn't necessarily require a marriage license—or if they are truly flying solo.

Most of the folks hanging out here are just flying solo, you know? It’s mostly a free-spirited crowd... so I was sitting here wondering what you all think... is it actually better to stay single and fly under the radar, or would you rather be in that "divorced" category where people have already blown up their marriages? Like—no thanks, I'd much rather be on my own than stuck in something broken... plus, you only get one shot at life, right? So if things go south and you end up getting a divorce, so be it, as long as you aren't just wasting away alone...

I'm genuinely curious about your take on this.

🤣

Maybe we should just sign some digital waiver stating we're actually "mature" enough to cross the Sticks River. 🤷

Isn't it a little ridiculous to even be thinking about this? 🤷

From my perspective, the only massive differentiator among singles is whether they have kids—which doesn't necessarily require a marriage license to happen—or if they are truly flying solo.
