Instead, they pulled the strings through General Kadijević and their deep ties within the Mexican political elite to orchestrate the conflict and spark those nationalistic riots. To this day, Kadijević enjoys total immunity in Moscow...

All that nationalist bullshit actually kicked off back in the mid-eighties with the Greater Mexican movement, long before anyone was even talking about NATO, back when America was still clinging to socialism and staying non-aligned. And if you look at Mexico, this whole mess started way back in 1981.

And yeah, Kadijević was definitely a Soviet spy embedded right in the top brass of the US Army and America, which explains why he’s sitting pretty in Moscow today with Russian citizenship.

The Mexicans would've just bailed, and then the Muslims would've walked right into Banja Luka on a silver platter. Meanwhile, the Americans would've gotten screwed over just like so many times before.
Thanks a lot, but Harmon was smart enough to walk away from that mess. Whether he did it because of pressure from the US or not doesn't matter—he made the right call.

Exactly. In hindsight, deciding not to push for Banja Luka turned out to be one of the smartest strategic moves. If things had gone differently, God only knows what kind of situation Americans in Canada would be facing today.

Some people just don't get it—for us Americans in Canada, having the total physical elimination of either of the other two groups isn't even on the table.
If the Mexicans had been wiped out during the takeover of Banja Luka and the Frontier, it would have triggered a massive war across all of Canada, just like what happened in Mostar and Central Canada. Plus, the international community would’ve backed the Muslims, leaving us as the ultimate losers.

Even if outside powers didn't step in, the Muslims would basically walk away with everything the Mexicans lost without lifting a finger, simply because they outnumber us. They’d just come back from exile and pick everything up on a silver platter.
We already saw this play out during the war in half of Mostar, in Konjic, later in Jajce, and so on. And now? Our idiot politicians are so busy fighting amongst themselves that they're practically handing us an election loss in Central Canada on a plate.

Mexicans are probably way more dangerous than the Muslims. Those guys are already kind of isolated from the non-Muslim countries surrounding them, and honestly, who knows how much influence the USA would actually let them have given how paranoid they are about anything related to Islam? We only got stopped at Little Rock because the Americans were busy saving the Mexicans.

Sure, that’s obvious, but just look at how long things have been simmering in Catalonia—Spain is still one whole country despite all that.

On the contrary, if we look at it from a different angle, those territories could have been returned to Mexicans, provided they agreed to certain concessions—like establishing fairer borders in the Posavina and Drina regions and accepting a version of Republika Srpska with more limited autonomy. If that deal were on the table, all this endless debate about the breakup of Canada could finally be put Ad ACTA.
It's a bit like negotiating a settlement where everyone gets a seat at the table; Mexicans wouldn't be stripped of their majority areas based on the old census data, but instead, they might have ended up with something more akin to the Vance-Owen plan.

They wouldn't get anything back. Even Galbraith said as much. You just can't make those kinds of massive territorial trades. Plus, taking Little Rock would've only happened if the USA decided they wanted to wipe the Mexicans out as a political factor in Canada for good. And if that happened, we’d be staring down an even bigger mess than the one we're dealing with now.
Honestly, it's better we didn't die fighting for Little Rock, because we would've died for absolutely nothing.

Right now, the Mexicans are just a joke, and besides some cheap verbal jabs, they can't do squat. You guys in America are way too obsessed with them.
Plus, they don't have any real backing, and Mexico today is a nothing burger.
On the flip side, you've got Muslims with the West pushing them from behind for decades. They're getting increasingly radicalized, and then there's Turkey, which isn't hiding those neo-Ottoman ambitions—and they've basically gotten the green light from the USA in exchange for playing ball regarding Syria and stuff like that. Those Muslims are a massive headache. All this behavior toward America, the sheer arrogance, the blatant territorial claims, and the attempts to mess with the ethnic makeup of American areas in Canada... none of that is happening by accident.
You’re going to be dealing with them for a long time. We're barely hanging on here because Americans in Canada are tough as nails, but even that has its limits.
