After that whole unknown blowout with my sister, I started looking at our family drama from a completely different angle, and honestly, I’m just stuck in this loop of confusion. Since there are probably a few more brilliant minds on this forum than just my own, let's break this down step by step:
There are three of us sisters. I’m the baby of the bunch, and the other two are nine and seven years older than me. I get along famously with my middle sister; we really have each other's backs, vent to one another when life gets heavy, and can sit and listen to each other's problems for days on end. Our parents are still around, though they’re getting up there in age and dealing with some pretty serious health issues, so both of us are over at their place constantly helping out with whatever they need—I even play chauffeur for their doctor appointments whenever it's necessary.
Then there’s the third sister. She’s got a grievance for absolutely everything. She only shows up at our parents' place maybe three or four times a year, and it always seems to happen right around a major holiday, like today😍, so she acts like she "just can't help" missing the routine stuff.
She jumps at every single opportunity to turn our mother against me. Every time I show up, she brands me as some gold-digger, claiming I'm just bleeding them dry. She even goes through Dad’s paperwork whenever she gets the chance, obsessively checking to make sure he hasn't signed anything over to me.
The other day, she actually stormed into my house to attack me, accusing me of stealing some of his savings—which, by the way, he had already moved into a savings account and it shows up as a standard withdrawal on the statement...
Up until that point, I mostly kept my mouth shut. I used to just tell myself, "Oh, that's just how she is, I haven't done anything to her, so it doesn't matter what she says,"
but since we live in such a small town, rumors started flying that I was manipulating them both, and that really stung. So, I finally spoke up to my father—something I’d never done before—telling him there was no reason for all this tension. When Dad asked her why she was acting this way, the harassment only intensified. Suddenly, I’m the villain, the bad guy, the one who's supposedly driving my middle sister crazy and turning her against the whole family. Basically, they’ve cast me as Lucifer, head to toe.🤣
It doesn't bother me too much because I can look at myself in the mirror and face everyone without any guilt, but it hit me today that she’s been picking on me and physically bullying me since we were little kids. Now, I’m sitting here wondering: why does she do it? Is this just some deep-seated pattern stretching back to our childhood? What’s the real catch here? Is it just pure jealousy?

Honestly, I’m thinking this whole thread might actually belong over in the psychology section. I feel like if I moved it there, I’d probably get way more responses from people who actually know what they're talking about, so if anyone can help me move this over, that would be great.

Or maybe she’s just one of those corrosive types—some people are just built that way, I guess.
We’re three sisters ourselves—we bicker, sure, but there’s never been any jealousy or anything... we actually get along pretty well, mostly.
