We’d still be able to tap into thorium for energy, and you can't really build a bomb out of that.

And honestly, He could've designed humans to be a little less aggressive, maybe with a bit less testosterone...

if that was His intention, I suppose.

But if He did that, a good person wouldn't have any merit for making it into paradise. God would actually be robbing them of that honor by creating a world where evil doesn't even have the freedom to exist.
The way it is now, good people stay good despite the darkness surrounding them, while the wicked will keep philosophizing, justifying, and rationalizing their actions until they rightfully end up in hell.
That is the JUST world God created. The IDEAL one awaits us in paradise, but we have to earn our way there...☕ No pain, no gain.🎉

Honestly, lucky are the simpletons, because Heaven belongs to them. For them, Paradise is basically a birthright. But for those of us who aren't quite that "blessed," there’s a massive uphill battle ahead of us.

It looks like Adam and Eve weren't actually the ones to blame for all the misery in this world after all. It seems like this whole mess was part of God's plan from the very beginning.

It isn't really a "blessing"—unless we're suggesting God also blesses every materialist who's too obsessed with their own physical world to see past the end of their nose?

Honestly, comparing physical disability or sickness to someone's greed for material wealth is just totally counterproductive.

Grace Booth2 said:God distributes knowledge according to an individual's capacity—it pours down upon the earth like rain, yet what use is it to someone who is nothing more than a tiny thimble? It is difficult, after all, to catch even a single drop when your vessel is so limited. Besides, God doesn't burden a person beyond what they can actually carry.
Knowledge, too, isn't granted to just anyone.

I mean, if you listen to some religious fairy tales, everything just falls from the sky. Nobody actually works for anything; people just sit around praising their God while He sends down wisdom via heavenly mail service.

If that were actually how things worked, why on earth didn't He just hand over the whole kit and caboodle right at the start? Why did we have to wait so long for
TV sets,
PCs,
induction cooktops,
washing machines,
calculators,
antibiotics
and escalators????😂

Finally, a bit of actual substance on this board—bravo, I guess.

Discussions here generally lack specifics, so it mostly devolves into everyone mocking everyone else—people making fun of things without even knowing why (aside from their own personal frustrations).

Tesla?
He was brilliant—he saw things so far ahead of his time that modern science still hasn't even come close to catching up; they just copy him and claim his discoveries as their own.
Beyond being exceptionally intelligent, he had a good heart—he actually claimed that the current being discovered could be free for everyone on Earth.
That obviously didn't fly, since the wizards of capitalism had other plans for that.

I always found that incident where Tesla (while in NY) triggered a tremor that caused both an earthquake and a nearby fire—leading to panicked calls to the fire department—quite interesting.
Back then, he testified that such things could be induced intentionally.
Today, his work is being repurposed to trigger tremors across the globe—if you can distinguish them from natural earthquakes.

So, I won't argue that God hasn't granted humanity knowledge, or allowed us to understand the elements we're playing with to a certain degree.
The issue is that people exploit that knowledge, experimenting in ways that threaten everyone else on the planet—and the planet itself.

🙂
When someone claims something is "smart," that judgment is strictly limited by the intelligence of the person making it.
So, an assessment like that (calling something smart) is entirely relative.

Also, when you claim something is smart, you’re essentially implying that you are smart too.

Off topic, but
Tesla caused that tremor using a mechanical oscillator.
Naturally, the condition is that the oscillation is synchronized with the resonance so that positive interference occurs (where the peaks of the oscillator and the resonator align and add together), and... there you have it.
If I recall, he attached the oscillator to a structural column of a building...
As a kid, I used to build Tesla transformers... later, my own mechanical oscillator was just a basic motor with an eccentric cam and variable RPMs. My goal was to create an automatic feedback loop (synchronization) between the oscillator and the resonator (a shed pole), but... well, I'm no Nikola Tesla.
Kids today have much better options available to them.

Bottom line: Tesla caused a tremor
much like how soldiers marching in step across a bridge can hit its resonant frequency.
But his work on electromagnetic oscillators and resonators—which he used to transmit power wirelessly over long distances—is far more interesting.

Tesla didn't exactly try very hard to shake off his image as a mystic; if anything, I'd say he leaned into it.

He probably wasn't an atheist (he almost certainly wasn't as a child), nor an anti-theist... most likely a theist, just a non-traditional one.

There's a big difference between shaking something apart via resonance and an actual tectonic earthquake.

Dumb conspiracy theorists just spread paranoia, claiming "mysterious Masonic-Illuminati power centers" are triggering unnatural earthquakes globally with some kind of super-rays, or that they're "poisoning us" and trying to chip us to control our thoughts. It's just a total fever dream. 😂

As for Tesla, you won't find any intellectuals among those who worship bishop rings, kiss altars, or believe in Mary's perpetual virginity and all that other nonsense. They wouldn't be who they are if they didn't believe in that Jehovah-biblical nonsense.

Look, the Earth itself is just an object too.

That tremor in New York City was caused by a mechanical oscillator—basically, the vibrations traveled through the building's foundation and bled right into the ground.
The harder the surface—think solid rock or granite—the more intense that effect becomes.
If my geology is right, New York City sits on a monolithic slab of rock.

It’s an established truth that when the Progenitors were first created, their Creator granted them much more than just sanctifying grace and innocence... They were also blessed with total wholeness—meaning their senses were in perfect harmony with their reason—along with knowledge suited to their state, immortality, and complete immunity from any pain or misery...
I want to highlight the gift of knowledge relative to our true state. I mean profound, genuine knowledge—the kind that illuminates everything a person needs to fulfill their role as king over all other creatures, created in God's image... It comes from a soul that is spiritual, free, immortal, and rational; a soul capable of knowing God and loving Him, destined to enjoy His presence forever. This is all thanks to the unmerited gifts God has bestowed upon us. Above all, there is Grace, which lifts humanity into the supernatural realm as children of God and heirs to Heaven...
With that gift of knowledge, a person knew exactly which paths to take to fulfill their divine purpose... They loved God with everything they had, using their perfect understanding to live a life full of Grace and innocence. It was a deep, passionate love, yet one always rooted in that profound respect every creation owes to its Creator...
That love was powerful, yet it always stayed within the bounds of respect due to the Creator. That perfect, beautiful devotion can only be found in Jesus and Mary... Since the Son of Man and the sinless Virgin were like a new Adam and Eve, they restored the order lost by the first pair. They comforted God the Father by using every gift He gave them perfectly, never letting pride get in the way just because they were His favorites among all creation...
Just as that gift of knowledge aligned the love of creation toward the Creator, it also directed love toward all of creation... starting with one's spouse, who is our own reflection. He loved her with a pure, fervent passion—the kind of innocent love that only those with corrupt hearts could ever doubt...
Oh, the blindness caused by the seeds of corruption! Truly tragic...
Pure, innocent souls truly know how to love. They embrace the layers of the human spirit, starting from the highest heights down to our most natural instincts, infused with that virginal tenderness found in the deepest maternal and filial bonds... It is the purity of two selfless loves: a child’s soul reaching out to the living vessel that carried them, and a mother’s soul honoring the sacred truth of her motherhood. This is the glory of a woman who, through the sacrifices of motherhood, rises from being merely female to becoming a partner with God—truly bringing a human life into being through His grace!
He used to measure knowledge by how much people loved the creatures around them, whether they were useful or just pleasant to be near. In everything ever made, he saw the power of God's love, knowing these things were created specifically for us—just as God saw them: "very good"...
He would have surely guided us through the love humans feel for the creatures born from that sacred bond between Adam and Eve. But Adam and Eve never truly reached that level of love. Before she—the one formed from his bone and flesh to leave father and mother behind and become one with him—could even bring forth life, like a tree kissed by the sun bearing fruit, Chaos had already poisoned the progenitors' holy affection... They simply wanted to know more than what was meant for them. So, Truth spoke up: "We must ensure man doesn't reach out and take from the Tree of Life, lest he eats and lives forever..."
That saying leaves so many people confused, and others even use it to paint the Almighty and the Generous One as some kind of heartless miser. It’s also used to deny one of the core religious truths: the truth about one of the gifts God gave to the progenitors—immortality.
A gift is a gift; it has to be given. God granted immortality just like He gave all His other gifts, including the gift of knowledge scaled to the human condition. Not all knowledge, mind you. Only God is infinitely wise. He gave immortality, but not eternity. Only God is eternal.
Man was meant to be born from a human being created by God, and then never die, but instead pass from an earthly paradise into Heaven to enjoy the perfect knowledge of God...
But humanity overstepped. We wanted more than what was offered as a gracious gift. We craved total knowledge, forgetting that even good things must be handled with a measure suited to our own abilities... and that only the Infinite and Perfect can know all evil without suffering the turmoil that corrupts.

I read something about this once.

Flower pots were flying out of windows, the whole place was shaking, and people in the building were losing their minds... Then the cops remembered some "mad scientist" and went to bust him.

Meanwhile, Nikola Tesla was having a rough time. A connection on his massive, vibrating machine shorted out, and he couldn't kill the power. So, he sprinted to a nearby hardware store to borrow a sledgehammer. The only way to stop that "hellish contraption" was to smash the casing. He was right in the middle of swinging that hammer when the cops caught him.
Once he finished, he gave them a bit of that classic dry wit you'd expect from a guy like him and told them: "Too bad you didn't show up a few minutes ago to witness a successful experiment." 😂

The writings of Maria Valtorta

Thanks for the example of religious fanaticism, where God supposedly grants certain insights that remain out of reach for us atheists. 😁

'The Poem of the God-man' (spanning 18 volumes) includes mentions of screws and iron horseshoes that were totally unknown in ancient Palestine at the time (Vol. 1, p. 195, 223), not to mention the blatant antisemitism that plagues the whole thing—describing Jewish corpses as being "no less like snakes" (V: p. 623);

The Blessed Virgin rants about how Rome had every right to fear that "tribe of murderers" (V: p. 642). There's even a fictional Jew who converts because "the cult of Israel has become Satanism" (V: p. 673). The conflict between Pontius Pilate and the high Jewish Sanhedrin reads like a trashy comedy sketch, especially when Pilate tries to distance himself by claiming he can smell the Jewish stench" (V: pp. 557 ff), and so on.

It’s all particularly grotesque considering this was written while the ovens of Auschwitz were burning;

the risen Christ explains that God withdrew from Jewish rituals and that Judaism is "dead forever."

Valtorta paints Jews as God-killers. Beyond just Jesus' followers, she claims "the entire Jewish nation gathered in Jerusalem wanted His death" (V: p. 293). Apparently, the whole city showed up just to spit on Jesus. While Roman soldiers try to minimize His suffering, the executioners—described as having a "distinct Jewish profile" (V: p. 563)—are the ones whipping the Savior and nailing Him to the cross. Even Jesus' plea, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do," is directed toward the bickering thieves on the crosses rather than the thousands of Jewish accusers. "Therefore," the risen Jesus interprets, "God withdrew from Jewish worship, making Judaism 'dead forever.' Their rituals are nothing more than 'gestures any historian could mimic on a stage or in an amphitheater'" (V: p. 831). Valtorta even mocks Jerusalem as the place where the synagogue received God's indictment and rejection due to its countless atrocities" (V: p. 869).

After all that heavy-handed antisemitism, Jesus gives us wrong info by claiming the Godfather's straw was actually stardust (rather than our galaxy containing billions of stars). He performs a Bar Mitzvah, which wouldn't have been a thing then, the descriptions of the Temple are completely off, Jewish customs are skipped over, and almost nobody drinks wine. The name Jehovah is tossed around frequently, despite being unknown back then and God's name being forbidden to speak.

Sexuality is described with utter contempt; men disgust Mary, and Jesus claims animals mate solely for the sake of offspring, etc.

***
So, these are the "insights" the God-man shares with His beloved followers?

Surely there's a better example out there than a hateful, delusional Valtorta?

I think that specific scene was actually adapted for that TV series about Nikola Tesla (Šerbedžija).

Can someone explain the specific moments and methods by which God supposedly imprinted His knowledge into us human beings?

Let me give you some context regarding my own life: what I’ve established so far is that I had to attend elementary school, simply because that’s what American law requires. As far back as I can remember, I wasn't just sitting there catching flies; I was taking notes and then heading home to grind for two, three, or four hours every single day. I studied and acquired that foundational knowledge. I didn't just skim the surface; I went deep, as thorough as possible. Once that stage was over, American laws don't mandate or force an individual to continue their education. However, just like any other kid my age, I already knew exactly what my next move should be. So, by my own choice, I enrolled in high school. Since it was a vocational program, mastering the trade was essential—which happens to be my profession—so I gave it everything I had to learn as much as I could. Unlike elementary school, I spent less time studying at home and more time learning on the job. Eventually, I finished and gained a decent level of expertise, but I earned it entirely on my own. From there, I decided to pursue a degree in my field, and I completed all of it myself—meaning without any connections, favors, or some imaginary entity called "God."
Now, if I were a different kind of person, I might have barely scraped through elementary school with failing grades. I wouldn't have continued my education at all. My lack of knowledge would have been equal to my ignorance.
So here is my question: where, during my schooling and in the practical application of the skills I use in my current job, does "God" actually show up? What exactly did He do in my case? What exactly did He do for the collective knowledge of everyone on Earth? Did He do the learning for us and then just apply it? Does anyone have clear answers to my question? To me, the only logical answer is this: God doesn't distribute knowledge, because God doesn't even exist, regardless of whatever definition of "God" you choose to use...

That is the JUST world God created. The IDEAL one awaits us in paradise, but we have to earn our way there...☕ No pain, no gain.🎉

So, I guess we should just hand kids sharp knives and matches, because otherwise they won't get any credit for not burning the house down or killing each other?

By that logic, a child born with a terminal illness or a deformity also gets no credit for making it into Paradise.

The way everything around us is justified is just... unbelievable. They say God created everything, but the natural world—which He supposedly made—is exactly how it needs to be, filled with bacteria, viruses, hunger, parasites, storms, earthquakes... yet people—whom He also made—aren't quite what they were meant to be. It’s as if some mysterious "evil" crept into them, something that doesn't show up anywhere else in the world except in humans, and somehow only affects people.

Justifying why God doesn't share His knowledge is kind of like saying you gave a starving African American a can opener: you gave him the tool, now he has to figure out the can himself, and his problems are basically solved.

I honestly think you’d struggle to pull any of that off without a functioning brain...
And who exactly provided you with that brain of yours?...

Stipe Mason...
Vesna Pusić...
Mom and Dad picked up some things at Walmart...
God... 🙂🙂🙂

👍 That’s the comparison. 🙂😵

The right answer would be "Mother Nature", a healthy brain comes from genetics and inheritance, and I came from my parents.

P.S. You didn't give a clear or rational answer; that response was bordering on pure fantasy.

Since Adam wanted all Knowledge, he might have wanted all life too—not as a gift to be cherished through love, but as a force that mocks respect, destroys order, and attempts to make oneself eternal, trying to be equal to God without any merit. To want to be equal to God would mean committing the same sin as Lucifer. And there is no forgiveness for Lucifer's sin.
God wanted to be able to forgive man. He wanted to restore immortality, the possession of Heaven, enough Knowledge for our state, Grace, and Himself. So, He embraced judgment as a means to save. He established death to grant Life. He allowed the exile to provide an eternal Homeland. He gave—and here is the start of a lesson that keeps coming up—He gave the Law instead of the unmerited Knowledge lost when Grace died in man's heart. The Law is a fruit, a consequence of Sin.
Sin dulled man's ability to distinguish good from evil and destroyed his integrity. Like smoke, it clouded the truth. Like noise, it drowned out the divine voice heard on those fresh evenings in the beautiful Eden. After falling from being a sinless child of God to a mere rational animal, man instinctively felt that killing must be "evil" and that shameful lust must be wrong. But he didn't know where to draw the line between the evil of killing and the lusts most hated by God.
That is why, after punishing the world with the Flood, God provided the first guidelines to reduce violence (like the prohibition against eating blood). Later, He dealt with the scattering of nations and the confusion of languages, which set the stage for future kingdoms and wars that still plague us. He again used fire from the sky for Sodom and other sinful cities. Having given the righteous Abraham a clearer law of submission to the Lord, He called Moses and, through successive commands, led him to offer the first Passover, a lasting sacrifice for all ages. In a moment of grace, the one-year-old lamb was replaced by God's own Lamb, the continuous Sacrifice on all altars throughout the ages. From that Passover law, Moses was led to the Ten Commandments.
But there would be no Ten Commandments if reason always ruled over the senses—that is, if sin hadn't occurred in Eden. There would be no Law if the loss of Grace and Innocence, and subsequently Knowledge, hadn't come from the disorder of the senses. The Decalogue is both mercy and punishment. Mercy for the weak, and punishment for those who mock God by doing evil while knowing exactly what they are doing.

But what about Father Nature?😁

Now this is just turning into a joke. If we’re going to communicate seriously, then let's be serious—though I can play the joker just fine if I feel like it. That's exactly why I used quotation marks; to make it clear what was being quoted. But clearly, some people aren't blessed with basic literacy, which you keep proving to me. 🤷

edit: And get this, my friend. Every human being has an organ called a brain. It's what sends commands to the body to perform tasks, to think, to build knowledge, and everything else we do. And us believers—we "imagine" how our spiritual side, which is linked to the body, manages all that via our one and only imaginary creation known as God :d
