The cost of living in America is getting ridiculous, so I’m not about to go begging my friends and making things awkward—especially since I already know they’re broke.
If anyone happens to have $3,000 sitting around and actually wants to earn some decent interest, let me know.

Can't talk now, I'm working...

Nice... Look, I'm not about to mess with my friends or family, but if some random stranger online wanted to lend me what amounts to five or ten of my paychecks... I swear on my life, I’d take it. But I don't have the time to sit here and chat about it with you guys, I've got stuff to do...

Man, I just love these kinds of brilliant ideas...

Haha... why so worked up? 😛

There is a massive difference between helping out a friend or family member and running a business. I’m not asking for a favor, so I don't need a "friend" or a cousin. I am offering a deal—like selling someone a car way below market value. I lend them $3,000, they pay back a bit more, everyone wins. Maybe someone bites, maybe they don't....

And no, I don't have time to type away on a forum while I'm working. Is that really so hard to grasp? (I thanked you for the advice, end of story.) 👍

Look, there's no need to get defensive. Not everyone spends their entire day glued to a computer screen where they can multitask between work and browsing the web. Some people work all day, come home, and then they're done. You aren't going to lose your job just because you checked a website.

But seriously, whatever you do, do not borrow money from people on Reddit, or from random flyers on telephone poles, or any other sketchy sources. You don't want to lose your house and everything else you own over a measly $3,000. That's why I say this: if a major bank won't give you a loan because your debt is too high or your income is too low, that's a signal in itself that you aren't a reliable borrower. A loan shark will love that, though—they won't care if you miss a couple of payments; they'll just take your house and walk away with exactly what they wanted for that $3,000.

Alexander Thompson said:Still, I gotta say, the optimism of people who can't even borrow a dime from anyone they actually know—like family, godparents, friends, or coworkers, who obviously know exactly why they're being avoided—is kind of wild. They're just sitting there hoping to get a loan from a complete stranger... over on 🙏 Reddit

But he needs the money, you know? How can you not see that part?

Just kidding—but seriously, I don't think you could get better advice than what Paul White9 gave you... Those vultures will skin you alive like a stray cat...

I handle everything through email, and plenty of people who don't realize that end up paying fees they shouldn't. If you know better, just send an email instead of calling. Personally, I'm satisfied.

I'd reach out if I could...

Nathan Booth53 said:I had a 3% loan, but I closed it out after a year because I finally had the cash and wanted to clean up my credit score before applying for a mortgage. Look, when you need money fast and don't want to deal with the bureaucracy at Chase, you can just walk in and get funded in a day. On that $25k, I basically turned it into $45k, so I didn't mind swallowing a bit of interest—it's not like this was my monthly salary or anything. It was just quick capital for materials and other random expenses.

Where do people even get loans like that? Need it ASAP...
