It’s true... why don't you guys ever actually get involved in the political scene?
In my experience, this place—much like certain other corners of the internet—is packed with plenty of decent, deep-thinking Americans who actually have some real things to say about the state of the union...
I’d love to hear what you all think.

I can already see how that would go down. Tactum for President, and Adler as his VP.😂🤣

Let’s set up a national salvation government
So Adler would be President, Željko RI could take PM, and the pistol doctor would handle Defense.
I’d probably grab some random ministry just to trick the right-wingers into thinking we're actually part of the administration.😁

Actually, this is even better.🤣 You hit the nail right on the head regarding our current mess.🙄

Honestly, I find it hard to get motivated when talking to people who have churned out ten different threads about Thompson in just three days—acting like he’s suddenly the biggest crisis facing the country. It's like they've dug him up from obscurity just to obsess over him. One singer 🤦

That's terrifying. Where on earth did you dig those people up?😲 (Though, to be fair, I doubt they could actually perform worse than the current lot.)

But in all seriousness, if we want to talk about people who actually care about this country and could actually make a meaningful impact, here is the list:
Tactum, Orlovac, Defense, Marasovac, Fulcrum, casio, falkon, ord mantel, Andrew Chase31, von Grunt, Martian7, lea*, pukovnikz, ekompf, WeM, snowleopard, Humphrey, dr.laki, No surrender, Leoben Conoy, rama, sweet/bitter...

There are probably at least that many more, but I can't recall them all right now. I always have a harder time remembering the ones without avatars.

Honestly, the political climate here wouldn't be any better than what we’re dealing with back home in the States.
It wouldn't take long at all before everyone’s true colors started showing and we saw exactly who was playing games and who was actually running the show.

I think you've got it wrong. We should be rallying around the core idea instead of nitpicking everyone's personality on this forum.

Thanks for the compliment, but I think you might have just listed people from "our" side of the political spectrum. There are plenty of left-leaning folks out there who want nothing but the best for America too. You'll recognize them 😉

Sure, you've got your American and Serbophiles, but you also have left-wing patriots. Their rhetoric just isn't as aggressive toward us, but their intentions are pure. 😁

We probably wouldn't find any common ground on much of this...
But I'd love to see Henry Morris3, dustypuma5, and those other folks holding some positions where they could actually move the needle on things.

I mean, I guess I get to pick my own VP, right?

Or if I end up getting convicted, I just resign immediately. 😳

It isn't quite accurate to say we wouldn't find common ground on everything. Personally, I think I could work quite effectively with most of the people mentioned above, but the presence of just one Adler, Mickey Mouse, or Doctor Doom would be enough to trigger a massive fallout.
I simply can't engage in political discourse with individuals who harbor a hatred for America. A fundamental love for your own country has to be the baseline if you want to actually solve any problems.
Now, you can have left-wing economic solutions and someone else can have right-wing ones—that's perfectly fine, and certainly something worth debating.

Interesting. Do these gentlemen love the entire United States—including those of us on the left, or the Republican Party—or do they only support the specific slice of the country that loudly identifies as patriotic?

I assume everyone else feels the same way: sure, we might like some leftists, just not the ones actively working against the interests of the country. It isn't enough to just claim you're a patriot; you actually have to be one. What good is the Republican Party if so many people claim to be patriots while their actions consistently undermine the nation?
I should probably mention that it only takes one Melissa Peterson19 to spark a massive, country-wide argument. ☕

I guess I just love anyone who keeps America in their heart.

I know this guy from Jordanac living here who absolutely loves the States. He’s got America in his soul, he's a good dude, and honestly, I treat him just like any other citizen.

As for people who are anti-American... I don't like them. And anyone actually working against the country? They should probably be judged for treason.

Just don't count on Adler. As the head of the Democratic Party, he’s nowhere to be found. He pops up for a second, scatters, and then vanishes again. It feels like they're just waiting to see who else they can target. 😂

But those are just economic issues. Let's set that aside for a moment. I just... I'll never quite understand why you all equate hating America with simply having a different opinion than yours.

It would probably be impossible to start a political party with this many people—everyone seems to have such different visions for how the country should actually look.

I think I’ve finally stumbled upon the one topic where we might actually find some common ground.

Let’s talk about salary transparency! 😁

So, if things aren't done your way, there's no coalition? Where is the democracy in that? How is a leftist supposed to prove their loyalty to the United States to a group like yours? Does patriotism vanish just because someone identifies a party as having dangerous intentions—even when they are proven right? To you, that's treason. So where does that leave us?

Personally, I wouldn't sign off on your economic platform. Your plan involves digging up mass graves across the US, hiring an endless army of laborers, forensic experts, lab techs, medics, historians, police, prison staff, judges, lawyers, support staff, executioners, and undertakers. And you'd fund the whole thing on credit. I disagree with that approach because there is zero benefit to the country. Besides, you'd likely find a way to grease the wheels with corruption along the way, given your track record. It's a proven fact.
