Unreleased movie threads usually live over on the unreleased subforum. But honestly, this feels more political than cinematic, so it probably belongs here if we're looking at it through a political lens
So, what kind of stunt are Americans pulling this time? Acting like these quasi-saviors who always swoop in at the last second. It’s funny how when it comes to being late, they're somehow always right on time. Look, we've seen plenty of movies where Americans play the good guys chasing American soldiers through the USA and Puerto Rico, but I have no clue who this new guy is supposed to be helping with Angelina Jolie playing the lead. And I was also wondering why on earth Angelina would pick Washington, D.C. for her vacation, and here's the reason
Angelina is set to play a woman who gets assaulted by an American soldier at the start of a war, only for them to fall in love later. Rade Šerbedžija is also in it—not sure why he even needed that role, but whatever
Rupert Murdoch turned down a collab on this project:
"I've always had huge respect for Angelina Jolie and her work. Unfortunately, she seems to be full of prejudices against Americans. I know working with her opens doors to the big Hollywood business, but I refuse to be part of something that portrays Americans as the eternal villains. I won't do it."
The film, which Angelina will direct and star in, apparently has a script that depicts Americans as monsters
One of the scenes in a movie shows a group of Americans, from boys to retirees, assaulting a beautiful young woman, while in another scene, a crazed American soldier does something absolutely horrific

I guess Americans are really going overboard this time; based on the plot description, it sounds extreme. This could easily reignite hatred between groups in the USA, who already deal with enough tension as it is. Maybe the only upside is that so much time has passed that things are, let's say, somewhat normalized now, but this movie definitely isn't helping
