Jacob Johnson56 said:Consciousness isn't an intellectual thing. It’s purely spiritual. Science and the economy will only truly advance once spirituality finds its rightful place. That's when people will finally see how beautiful life can actually be. Instead of fighting external problems, we have to win our own War of the Worlds. It's always an internal struggle. If you have enough love inside you, you can make a massive impact on the world around you.
Life was never a mystery, and it certainly isn't one now. The only real obstacle is humanity's single greatest "ailment"—a total lack of interest in finding true meaning, purpose, and direction...

I mean, I get where you're coming from, but if we're calling it a disease, then doesn't that mean we have to figure out the best way to actually cure it?

It is easy to die a slow death...

A slow death comes for
those who never travel,
those who never read,
those who never listen to music,
and those who cannot find contentment within themselves.

A slow death comes for
the one who destroys their own capacity for love,
and the one who refuses to accept help.

A slow death comes for
the one who becomes a slave to habit,
imposing the same limitations upon themselves every single day.

The one who refuses to break their routine,
the one who lacks the courage to try something new,
and the one who fails to speak with strangers.

A slow death comes for
the one who flees from passion and its intense emotions;
the very things that bring light to the eyes and life back to a lonely heart.

A slow death comes for
the one who stays stuck when they are unhappy with their career or their partner,
the one who refuses to trade security for uncertainty,
and the one who fails to chase their dreams.

The one who will not allow themselves, even once,
to ignore meaningful advice...

Live today.
Take the risk today.
Act today.
Do not let yourself slowly fade away.
Never forget to be happy!

-Walt Whitman

And a little music:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJ0Oj...eature=related 🙂

P.S. I am slowly melting in this heat....

It rained on us tonight, thank God.
And honey, this second photo is absolutely stunning. Thank you, thank you—a hundred times over. 🙂

Of course I will. 😘

Edit: I already set the second one as my computer background. 🙂

Since I have this little corner dedicated to Stella, I might as well brighten it up a bit.😁
I haven't figured out how to build a time machine to revisit the past just yet, but I have taken a step inspired by what Harmony suggested: I officially requested a transfer to a different work environment. If it goes through, I believe a fresh start would be incredibly significant and beneficial for me. 🙂
Generalizations are dangerous. No matter where you go, if things are broken, you’re just stuck in the same spot wearing a clown hat.
I've decided to try and find—and move to—a much less toxic workplace. We'll see if my request gets approved,🤷 but I am glad I took the initiative.🙂

slymaker9, the joy you get from dancing depends entirely on whether you're dancing with the right partner

In the same way, the satisfaction you find in any project is really just a reflection of how much you enjoy working with your specific team

Look, at the end of the day, people work primarily to secure their livelihood. It’s great when you find a job that allows for genuine self-fulfillment, but that isn't easy to come by in an economy with such high unemployment rates.

In my current environment, it would be very easy for my desire to transfer to be misconstrued as laziness or a lack of work ethic, but I couldn't care less about that perception. I reached my breaking point, and I had to take action.

I mean, sometimes people just do things because they love it! But honestly? I’d happily pay double just to have some people stop working altogether... like our government, for example.

I mean, let's be real... not everyone you run into at the office is radiating good vibes. Some people will honestly just drain the life out of you, but hey, the electric bill doesn't pay itself.😢

Hang in there.

"Arbeit macht frei"😂

People definitely work for satisfaction sometimes. For example, they party just for the hell of it... 🤣

Joking aside, a job well done provides a sense of professional satisfaction and fulfillment. But honestly, I wouldn't show up to my current job if I wasn't getting paid, even if I do find occasional satisfaction in what I do.☕

I got hit with a verbal reprimand followed by a formal written warning, but from what I can tell, a few other people caught heat too. She needs me there to act as a sort of stabilizer; moving me would go against her own interests.
