To be honest, I've got this blurry perception of things from way back when and I'm just not really in the mood for these little mind games, so sorry if I totally misread the situation, that's on me...🙂

Sorry for drifting off-topic...

Like I said, I need to fix things within myself, and that includes the whole context. And this current timing? It’s going to be incredibly hard... Well, challenges are my middle name! 😬

(Lisa Morales4 would be too much for me right now, Nathan Perez5 🤣)

Where do I come from? Straight from Hell... 😉

Well, if you aren't "nobody," then you're just unknown... why are you hiding away like a snake in the grass? 🙄

I mean, when are you finally going to step out from behind those walls and leave this selfish isolation behind? 😢 🤷
I truly believe that kind of thing would be overwhelming for you while you're still stuck in this headspace of clouded thoughts.
It’s going to be hard to find freedom as long as you keep wallowing in self-pity instead of wondering how things are on the other side of the pillow—given how detached you've become and all these unspoken barriers you've built up.

The moment a person starts practicing empathy and seeing the "other side" while living among others—that is the exact moment they break free from their chains and truly move forward. 🙂

I don't get it... Why am I isolated? I just need peace. I don't need a relationship. Not a spiritual one, not an emotional one. Maybe just physical, but I've been through too much in Life to let myself go there (just satisfying basic instincts). Why do you call that selfish isolation?

You'd be too much... You're looking for a whole man because you're mature enough to know what a real connection costs, especially being over 30. That's just not something I can offer any woman right now. And no, I have NEVER pitied myself. If anything, I know myself pretty damn well. After a heavy karmic relationship, I need a long, long break to recalibrate everything about who I am. 😬

I've felt Love three times in Life. None of those were karmic. Now I know what it looks like with a karmic partner... It isn't just about Love. It's something Higher. A connection with the Creator. It's not easy to explain my feelings. Or my intuition.

It’s not quite that linear, Lisa... You have a tendency to oversimplify complex things. I used to do that too, but it's not helpful. Things are what they are, and every person has their own unique interface and identity. Chains aren't necessarily bad... Especially if you have nothing to give to the other side... The person on the other side of the pillow! 🙄

If you feel like an outsider, then that's just who you are—I think I’ve said that before myself.
Generally speaking, Man's sense of alienation really started taking root back in the 20th century.

And who exactly doesn't need Peace, if you please, sir!!
You've got to think about this differently. He doesn't actually need Love; what he really needs is Peace.

Just a physical connection alone can't ever provide true Peace.
We really ought to start an entire thread just for this.

It’s pretty obvious that if a "spiritual or emotional connection" isn't genuine—if it isn't the real deal—it actually ends up draining your Peace more than anything else. In fact, that's usually where the biggest loss happens.

Quincy:

Right now, I just can't offer that to any woman. And honestly? I can't even offer it to myself. NEVER I wasn't being sentimental. If nothing else, I know exactly who I am, and I know myself pretty damn well. After experiencing a truly intense, karmic connection, I need a long, long break—just some time to recalibrate everything about myself, in every sense of the word. 😬
Wow, that sounds like actual fun; now that you've dialed back the intensity, all that silliness just disappears. 😛

Well, for the sake of spirituality, let's try this again:

A relationship isn't just something you happen upon. Looking for something. ... though, I’ll admit, for some people, it really is.

How can you even call that relationship "real" if you need a timeout? Damn, if you need a break just to completely reconfigure yourself—and I mean in every possible sense of the word—then what exactly are you calling a "true" connection?
So, which way is your soul actually headed: back toward its own Source, or drifting away from it?

By the way, what exactly do you mean by a karmic connection? 😕

Quincy:
I’ve experienced Love three times in my Life. None of those instances were karmic. Now, I finally understand what it would feel like to be with a karmic woman... It isn't just about the romance. It's something much Higher. A direct connection with the Creator. It’s honestly hard to put these feelings—or my intuition—into words.
There's really no need for explanations here: you just have to be. I feel pretty lucky, honestly. I hope I live to see it.
Feelings and love aren't things you can just measure in a lab, and honestly, you can't really explain them away either—artists are basically the only ones who truly attempt to capture them. They're trying.)

Quincy:
It’s not quite as straightforward as you’re making it out to be, Lisa Morales4... You have this tendency to oversimplify things that are actually pretty complex. I used to fall into that same trap myself, but honestly, it isn't a good way to look at the world. Things just are what they are, and every single person has their own unique interface and identity. Besides, being "shackled" isn't necessarily a bad thing, Lisa Morales4... especially if you don't have anything left to give to the other side... and by that, I mean the other side of the pillow! 🙄

Are you actually calling me narrow-minded, Ronald Rogers27? 😲 😢

You've got a point there: as much as it matters to be open-minded, easygoing, and not overthink things, it's just as important not to strip away their essence by oversimplifying them.
The Truth lives in the simplest things, and when it comes to Love, everything feels effortless and pure.
(Honestly, we should probably start a whole separate thread just to talk about simplicity versus oversimplification.)
What seems impossibly complex to some people is absolute child's play to a true master or a virtuoso; it’s smooth sailing for them! They didn't get there by reducing complexity, but rather through a certain simplicity of approach that comes from passion, faith, and a genuine love for what they do.
...that's really where the connection with the Creator lies. 🙂

So, are shackles ever a good thing? 😲
Shackles belong in the depths of hell, not for God's free creations.
By force of pop—by force of thought. 🙂

When I mentioned that a Man should look at things from the perspective of "the other side," I meant that if you have nothing else to offer, you'll find yourself both receiving and giving more once you start seeing a "problem" through someone else's shoes.
That's just a fundamental value held by a happy Man in a happy society.

Who said I'm searching for anything? Are you reading that I'm looking for something? (Maybe you're reading between the lines there...) I'm just trying to work on myself, because I know I can do it. Women will come as a byproduct of me getting my act together, and honestly, I've still got a long way to go.

Ronald Rogers27

I consider myself a bit of an artist when it comes to my own emotional life. Definitely. I have the exclusive right to judge myself in my relationships, even if I'm dead wrong.

Quincy:
It would be too much... You’re looking for a whole man because you’re mature enough to know what a relationship actually costs, especially once you hit your 30s.

I’m going to drop a link to a Wikipedia on defense mechanism article here; I think everyone could find some value in reading through it.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Defense_mechanism

A few points worth highlighting:
For defense mechanisms to actually work, they have to remain unconscious.
We can view psychiatric symptoms as instances where these defenses have failed.

All that good stuff you do—all those selfless acts nobody even asked for, things that just flow from the Creator's laws—it’s basically just showing Him how loyal you actually are.

hmmmm ... just imagine, following Vaillant's logic—sexualization acting as a defense mechanism ....

which means it becomes this intense pressure on the partner of such a stressed-out individual 😲
especially when you add schizoid fantasies into the mix, all wrapped up in passive-aggressive behavior 😢 😢 😢

Mastering oneself rather than trying to control everyone else—learning how to express your own needs and desires while communicating your emotions without letting them run wild—
is both a skill and an art form, Man's way of interacting with other members of society while still respecting their individual rights, wishes, and needs..

There is one more interesting point I’d like to add here.
Modern pop culture pushes the idea that everything needs to be fast, fun, and convenient. The goal is always to find a shortcut to the finish line. That has become the standard path.
Society no longer values persistence when faced with failure or obstacles, nor does it value the deep satisfaction that can only be earned through long-term, steady effort.
Everything has to be instant, or else it’s considered too slow. It’s like what N'Dug would say: why wait for a fine vintage wine to age when you can just grab an energy drink?
It is difficult to resist this trend.

It is very easy for people to progressively lower their standards just to avoid what they’ve been convinced is "struggling"—the idea that hard work is just for losers who can't find a way around.

When you lower your standards, you trigger a domino effect that lowers your expectations in every area of life, including emotional investment and commitment. This applies to relationships, self-knowledge, personal achievements, and self-development. Without engagement, there are no results.

I also want to touch on something Vertigo mentioned regarding how people react to those who achieve more than expected. Does the success of others make people feel uncomfortable, potentially driving them to lower their own standards and only operate at a fraction of their actual potential?
I think it would be worthwhile to explore this concept further.
Traditional American society understood the value of grit and diligent work much better than we do now.

My Starry is in such a great mood; that instant boost really does the trick. That drink is lethal. I don't really feel like hunting through YouTube right now to find that video of the 17-year-old athlete. You know the one—he's right in the middle of a game, mid-jump, when he just collapses like he's been hit by lightning because of all the caffeine, taurine, and whatever else was in that Red Bull.
Some countries within the European Union actually have a ban on that specific energy drink.

I could never bring myself to drink instant coffee—it just gives me terrible stomach pains.
Just boil some water, prep the coffee, and wait for the kettle to whistle... and just go from there.

Is there a saying like "what goes fast is junk"? I can't quite remember if that's how people actually put it. 🤷

Through the process of steady, dedicated work—as you put it—people have managed to find true satisfaction, pouring their very selves and their own spirituality into everything they do.

I think we’re starting to drift back into that same old cycle again, at least from where I'm sitting.
It’s kind of like how things work in school, right? You get an assignment, but the final version only accounts for maybe 20% of your total grade. The real weight comes from everything else—the notes you take, your personal reflections, the drafting process, and all that groundwork you put in before the final submission.
So, when it comes down to grading, they don't just look at one thing—they evaluate the entire package, taking into account the whole three-week workflow from start to finish.

The spiritual component really boils down to how you approach the task at hand—your level of commitment and the specific strategies you bring to the table, like how you handle teamwork or cooperate with those around you.

It’s the same way when you look at the workflow within any given industry. Watch Dogs. They’re looking directly at how things actually run—the interpersonal dynamics and the core strategies—so they don't even need to wait for a finished product to weigh in on whether the company culture feels right.

They really are great, though it feels to me like there just aren't enough of them.😛

I felt compelled to share a link to this incredible song, so I decided to drop it here in Stella's corner. It’s truly wonderful.

It’s gorgeous to me too, even if I'm not quite as Starry as you are and don't plan on heading off on a rocket for space exploration... but hey, go for it—good luck and come back safe.🙂
go and save the Planet 👍

Planet dream about The Days to Come When i won't have to leave alone About The Times that i won't have to say
When I won't have to leave alone
About the times that I won't have to say ...

Oh, kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you'll never let me go

kiss & 🙂 for you

Consciousness isn't an intellectual thing. It’s purely spiritual. Science and the economy will only truly advance once spirituality finds its rightful place. That's when people will finally see how beautiful life can actually be. Instead of fighting external problems, we have to win our own War of the Worlds. It's always an internal struggle. If you have enough love inside you, you can make a massive impact on the world around you.
Life was never a mystery, and it certainly isn't one now. The only real obstacle is humanity's single greatest "ailment"—a total lack of interest in finding true meaning, purpose, and direction...
