Iโ€™m feeling completely frustrated and honestly just fed up โ˜•

I think I might actually need to see a therapist at this point. I still find myself getting worked up over how nonsensical our laws and regulations can be. At this rate, Iโ€™m definitely due for some deep psychological analysis ๐Ÿ™„

Yeah, Iโ€™ve been doing some deep thinking lately too, though not quite along those lines. Honestly, I think we all have those moments where we just snap at how illogical certain laws areโ€”even if that kind of frustration is pretty standard in our day-to-day lives.
Hang in there, the weekend is almost here...

It feels more like the people drafting these nonsensical laws actually need a psychiatric evaluation themselves, rather than us suffering through their bureaucratic incompetence.

Sometimes I get the feeling these people have watched the movie ''USA'' one too many times, and due to a lack of gray matter or missing neurons, they actually believe the system described in that film functions perfectly. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ

Death to bureaucracy, freedom for the people. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

As for coffee, it's all about habit. You've gotten used to it and can't function without it. On the other hand, for some reason, I rarely drink coffee, so I never built up that dependency and don't miss it. I only grab a cup when I need intense focusโ€”though if I don't hit my 3 or 4 liters of water a day, I'll have a total meltdown. ๐Ÿ˜

If you're talking about deep analysis in terms of money laundering... I feel your pain.

Yeah, honestly, I was thinking about it... but I ended up just handing the whole thing off to my boss. After ten years of learning his little tricks for passing the buck, I've finally mastered the art of making it his problem instead of mine ๐Ÿคฃ :zadovoljnasamasasobom:

Must be nice. I don't exactly have anyone to pass my workload onto, though I'd love to... but hey, if I figure out a way to dodge it, you'll be the first to know.

Quick question: whatโ€™s the going rate just for putting together a year-end financial statement? I mean, strictly the closing statement itself ๐Ÿ™‚

Look, if youโ€™ve already got the balance sheet ready to go, then just filling out the standard forms shouldn't break the bank...

But if they actually have to handle the year-end closing entries and run all the audits too? Then I wouldn't even attempt to guess at a price...

Oh, itโ€™s just wonderful when someone walks up to me and claims theyโ€™ll handle all the bookkeeping and all I have to do is "just double-check" everything. They act like filing sales tax is just two clicks of a mouse, or that pulling a profit and loss statement from the software is some effortless magic trick. Honestly, if everything could be done without an accountant, why would the profession even exist? Forgive my bluntness, but preparing year-end statements isn't just about data entry. The person signing off on those documents actually needs to understand the balance sheet and take full responsibility for what those numbers represent. You can't just ignore the underlying bookkeeping and expect a perfect result.

Hehe, I remember this one former CEO who, about two months in, just snapped at meโ€”like, "Is the year-end report still not ready? It shouldn't take that long... it's just income minus expenses, right?" Well, if that's all it takes, then I guess I've been in the wrong profession my whole life.๐Ÿคฃ

Who said that? ๐Ÿ™„

I was literally just asking for a quote on year-end tax prep... You accountants always jump to the negative the second I ask a question ๐Ÿคท

What kind of numbers are we talking about for either scenario? You can always shoot me a DM.๐Ÿ™‚

Look, Iโ€™m sorry if that sounded like an attackโ€”it really wasn't my intention. But when people ask these kinds of questions every single day, it starts to feel like they think finalizing a fiscal year is as simple as brewing a cup of coffee. ๐Ÿ˜‰

So, as of January 1st, all claims for wage reimbursement following a workplace injury have to be filed at the local CMS officeโ€”not that massive ๐Ÿ™„ IRS headquarters.
Naturally, I followed the rules and submitted everything correctly, only to have them reject my client's claim because they insisted it should have gone to the "big" office instead. It took me over an hour just to track down someone who actually knew what they were doing so theyโ€™d finally accept the form. And of courseโ€”because nothing ever goes smoothlyโ€”the new filing date is now January 31st rather than the original January 7th when I first turned it in. ๐Ÿ˜

Itโ€™s honestly kind of strange that weโ€™re still sitting here getting worked up and frustrated... โ˜•

Trust me, I know exactly what it means to settle the score. ๐Ÿ™‚ Thank God I've never had to do that all by myself. ๐Ÿ˜ But hey, I know exactly what kind of work we're talking about here...

Iโ€™m just looking for some ballpark figures, purely for my own sanity. I actually got an offer yesterday, and Iโ€™m trying to figure out if itโ€™s even in the same universe as reality. Honestly, my gut is telling me itโ€™s way off, but I figured Iโ€™d check in here first before I write it off entirely. Just want to see if anyone else has seen something similar.
Still nothing. Not a single word back yet...

Tell me about it. If we aren't supposed to be upset, what does that leave us? Just supposed to act like we have no clue what's going on? ๐Ÿ™„
