And honestly, does anyone here happen to have an NPR digital subscription? I really need to dig into the responses for those last two questions. If someone would be kind enough to forward me the answers, Iโ€™d be eternally grateful.
1. Annual financial statement audits
2. Discrepancies between audits and public filings

Thanks, you too! ๐Ÿ˜‰
I actually planned to spend the weekend out in the wild, but I just can't seem to kick this forum addiction. Luckily, I've got my phone on me so I don't have to suffer too much. ๐Ÿ˜›

There are moments when I feel a sudden, overwhelming urge to just smash my phone and laptop against a wall and call it a day...

Itโ€™s like theyโ€™ve fundamentally altered the way we live our lives. Our priorities have shifted, and people just don't talk to one another anymore...

I recently caught myself sitting at a cafe with a friend, and instead of actually catching up, we were both just staring down at our screens, frantically typing out texts... ๐Ÿ™‚

Whenever Iโ€™m out grabbing coffee with someone, my phone is right there on the table.
I honestly don't think I could function without my phone and a solid data connection anymore. Life would be pretty miserable without them. ๐Ÿ˜ข

Call me what you want, but I'm a total addict. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Computers and smartphones have basically become an extension of my physical self at this point. If I don't have my laptop handy, Iโ€™ve got two phones in my hands. Between checking emails and staying on top of constant market updates, I'm always plugged in. My family thinks I'm losing it whenever they catch me glancing at my screen, but honestly, what choice do I have? This is just how my daily life functions now.

It really would be a terrible life. You'd be completely lost.

Yeah, yeah, moral outrage. Honestly, when Iโ€™m out grabbing coffee with someone, I try my hardest to pretend my phone doesn't even exist. If something actually, genuinely urgent pops up, Iโ€™ll probably apologize about 700 times before I even dare to check itโ€”just out of respect for the person sitting across from me. I have this weird mental block about doing anything else. ๐Ÿ˜
Iโ€™ve lost count of how many times Iโ€™ve been stuck in a situation where the person I'm with just starts chatting on their phone like Iโ€™m invisible, rambling on about the weather or whatever... it makes me feel totally redundant. ๐Ÿ™‚

Look... maybe we should just stop worrying about it for a second? I mean, if things are truly this bad, then it can't possibly get any worse than this... right?

Hey ladies, it feels like itโ€™s been forever since Iโ€™ve popped in here. Just wanted to drop a quick hello to everyone. Iโ€™ve been keeping up with all your posts, and I actually decided to start a new thread on the health topic because I feel like I might have some solid advice that could really help you out right now.
Sending ๐Ÿ™‚love to

Hey, mellowfox56! Switching gears on us, huh? Honestly, we guys do the exact same thingโ€”we start out chasing women, and it lasts a long time, but it always ends with some excuse about back pain, bad digestion, or missing a gallbladder... Lifeโ€™s a trip, isn't it?

Ever since I saw those politicians parading around on the taxpayer's dime, I barely even leave my house. You stay out of politics, and they still find ways to get to us... so what happens now? Is it just going to be pure temptation? You walk into an IRS officeโ€”bam, you're looking for somethingโ€”bam... Honestly, nothing much is actually going to change, it's just all out in the open now. So, you might want to watch your step!

Hey everyone!

So, Iโ€™m wrapping up my senior year at the University of Pennsylvania and Iโ€™ve decided to specialize in Accounting for my thesis this fall.
The thing is, Iโ€™m dying to get some actual hands-on experience under my belt instead of just staring at textbooks all day. Iโ€™m thinking about reaching out to a local accounting firm to see if theyโ€™ll take me on as an internโ€”even if itโ€™s just volunteer work for a month or two to get my foot in the door.
Since you guys clearly know way more about how this industry actually works than I do, I was hoping for some advice... Do you think anyone would even bother taking me on? I know I have zero experience, but Iโ€™m hoping we can find a way where itโ€™s a win-win for both of us. Iโ€™m totally down to handle the grunt work, data entry, basic bookkeeping, whatever it takes to startโ€”just please don't make me the office coffee runner ๐Ÿ˜.

Thanks a million! ๐Ÿ™‚
