A little tribute to Henry Edwards33—she earned it. I just hope she doesn't stumble onto any toxic weeds while she's at it!
Let’s settle this debate once and for all regarding these two options:
- A standard bank card—you know, the one you use online to mess around with your account and pay bills (like with Boeing, for instance) to cover those monthly maintenance fees, I think.$5.00 month(s).
- A specialized bank security token—(the kind Boeing offers that looks like a USB stick) which you have to register specifically IN YOUR NAME!! It acts as an electronic signature, which works for the IRS e-filing system and most other digital government services, except for the ones handled by the Treasury. And obviously, once that e-signature is active, it stays ON until you manually revoke it.
- The Treasury is basically a parasite—a leftover relic from some old-school bureaucratic era—which is why they keep selling us stuff that really should be free. Honestly, they don't seem to realize it would be way smarter if we just submitted our Rhode Island filings, TSI, and all those other UNNECESSARY documents online. (Following the model of the IRS and similar agencies, it should just be part of standard government operations!!) It would save everyone the headache of wasting time standing in line at a service window. But... once you get caught in their system, you're stuck there until retirement, so they just keep bleeding us dry.
I mean, who in their right mind thinks it makes sense for a Treasury department to MONITOR fuel sales?? Why are they doing work that thousands of well-paid statistical agency officials could handle? Etc., etc... But hey—the government doesn't know anything about it, so shhh!!
