Alright, you're up too. Give me something. ☕☕ Just let the consequences slide!

Everything that needed to be said has been said, and now we’re right back where we started. It’s the same old cycle: someone lights the match, someone else fans the flames, I probably toss a few more logs on the fire... then someone comes along and douses the whole mess with a massive blast from a purple fire extinguisher. And then? We just start all over again.
And that’s why I prefer these forum hangouts... what would I even have without them? He's one of our own!

Uhhhhh—someone's got thin skin if they're cracking like that at the end...

Apis, *you're acting like a total hipster* at 2 AM 😁 sipping two coffees at once—must be a holiday where you live today! 😍

Just got back from the seminar. 😵

I feel like I’ve finally wrapped my head around everything, mostly because this was my second deep dive into sales tax regulations since the July changes. ☕

Lucky me—I won't actually have to deal with the fallout until I'm back from vacation.

From here on out, it’s strictly chamomile and herbal tea for me. I need to stay calm. ☕

So, she’s officially stressed out—though honestly, we can't tell if it's just the workload or if work is actually driving her crazy. Well, go enjoy your time off! We’ll manage just fine without you, even if "our dear citizen" decides to stay home for a while.

So, how exactly are we supposed to celebrate this one??

Wonderful. You’re "hanging out" at 2:00 AM and somehow "figuring it all out": shipping? transport? no transport? ... you jump to one website, then it flings you to another, then a third, and after bouncing around for a bit, you can't even remember where you started... just like that, for days on end.
Then you fall into some deep meditation regarding lines 11 and 12 on an IRS tax form... and you weep (tears of joy, obviously)... thanking God you were born during such a vital era, just to experience meeting Linić, digital tax reporting, reverse charge mechanisms, ....... and then come autumn, the JOPPD... a total dream that makes sleep impossible.☕☕

Exactly! And now it turns out I’m some kind of hero if I don't celebrate every single day, but maybe every third day instead? Even though it takes me four hours to do what you can knock out in one.

And here's what really eats at me: how am I supposed to let an employee take time off? Am I meant to find someone who could just sit in the store for a month straight—because they won't even learn the job in two months, so they wouldn't actually be helping anyway—and then where am I supposed to pull those extra few thousand dollars from? You know, unplanned expenses? Do you get all these new ridiculous regulations that basically strip away my right to work—even if I wanted to keep working until I'm 90? And doing it for free! On my own dime. Why did we waste ten years of our lives giving up almost everything...

Just a little bit 😉

I’m trying to rush through everything, but I can't seem to untangle the knots before I trip over my own feet and fall flat on my face. 🙄

🙂

We’ve survived much worse than this, so we’ll get through this too. 🙂

I’ve decided I’m just not cut out to handle all these moving parts myself, so I’m going to start calling in consultants for every little thing. Everything has just become a giant mess. 😵

😛

And here I was, actually believing—or rather, letting myself get excited—that you were an absolute walking encyclopedia after that seminar we attended the other day. 😉🙂

I suppose I should probably address this before the inevitable wave of unsolicited opinions hits the thread. It seems there’s some confusion regarding the recent developments, and frankly, if we’re going to discuss this, we might as well do it with a modicum of clarity. I’ve spent far too much time staring at these figures to let them be misinterpreted by anyone looking for a quick headline. Let's try to keep the discourse somewhat grounded, shall we? kaže:
How wonderful. You’re sitting there at two in the morning, aimlessly browsing and trying to make sense of it all: Is it shipping? Is it local pickup? Or is it just straight-up delivery? You hop over to one page, then get redirected to another, then a third, and after bouncing around like a pinball between tabs, you eventually lose all sense of where you even started... and honestly, that becomes your entire existence for days on end.
I find myself sinking into a deep, meditative trance over the sheer complexity of the sales tax forms—it’s practically a spiritual experience at this point. Honestly, I’ve been moved to tears, though whether those are tears of joy or pure exhaustion remains to be seen. I can only offer my thanks to God that I was born in such a pivotal era, allowing me to truly get to know the intricacies of our tax code, the headache of digital fiscalization, and the endless dance of reverse charge accounting. And now, with the upcoming changes to payroll reporting this fall, sleep has become a distant, elusive luxury I simply cannot afford. ☕☕

I wasn't even aware that was being categorized as a celebration... 😍
Look at that masterpiece of work, while I’m stuck here over here endlessly shuffling through the tax code.

Desires are one thing, but Linić seems hell-bent on making sure we don't get a single moment of relief. 🙂

I suppose I should have seen this coming, though I’m rarely ever surprised by how quickly things can unravel. It seems we've reached that predictable point where everyone starts pointing fingers, as if any of us actually had a handle on the situation to begin with. Honestly, watching the collective descent into chaos is almost more entertaining than the actual events themselves, provided you have enough coffee and a decent chair. It's all quite absurd, really. kaže:
Apis, you’re out there acting like some high-society socialite at two in the morning. 😁 Two coffees at once? Honestly, I’m starting to wonder if you're celebrating some sort of private national holiday over there today. 😍

It seems this holiday is becoming positively contagious; the festivities have managed to spread across the entire country, and judging by the way Henry Edwards33 and Jessica Grant56 are celebrating, I suppose there’s no escaping it.☕

Jessica Grant56 said:So, "that guy" claims you let me get away with everything, so here I am—counting up all the warnings you've handed me... and yeah, they were all justified. I earned them. Sometimes my fingers move faster than my brain, and when that happens, you just have to deal with the consequences—it's just how things go around here. Also, regarding that thread he started just to try and prove everyone hates you (well, everyone except me—I've got your back!), I made sure to list out all the nonsense he wrote in those three or four posts. I really hope this gets flagged by a moderator, because it isn't right if you decide how to handle "him" based on those kinds of statements.

So, what's the grand total on your warning count then? 😉

I haven't exactly kept a tally... but every time I earned one—aside from those health discussions where Dr. Blesimetar showed up pushing his own agenda, which caused me to distance myself from him—it felt different. A warning is fine if it makes you stop, think, realize you messed up, and move forward more carefully. But when you see someone post something and then get two and a half days of "medical leave"? Well, then it really feels like something is off. It’s almost as if someone is protecting them?? And that just leaves the rest of us, who are actually trying to help rather than just 93 milespushing people too hard, feeling frustrated.

Let's be honest here: there are moderators and admins who would truly call out "that individual" for their nonsense and wouldn't let them back onto the Forum pages easily. But then there’s Henry Edwards33, and a few others like her, who will forgive "that person" for the 27th time, saying they'll improve... even though those of us who have been around longer know they'll just keep doing the same thing, because that's just who they are.

However, just like a TV has an STBY button, the Forum has one too... The software thread has already lost several good contributors who simply couldn't deal with the drama anymore. The real question is when it'll happen to us—IF this circus being run by "that person" continues.

Maybe the answer lies in making some collective demands to the Forum owner—whether it's limiting the thread to just Synesis topics or something else. But it’s pretty clear that if that happens, the "accounting software" crowd might just close up shop.

It just goes to show how much damage a single bad screw can do to a machine...

Good grief, Jessica, I was simply asking for a number; I certainly didn't intend to throw gasoline on an already raging fire. 🙂

So, you actually don't know...

And it looks like you're out "celebrating" tonight as well. 🤣

And you aren't up late either? Honestly, this PDF is actually pretty good—mostly full of classy ladies, so I don't mind chiming in a bit more. This whole argument has been heating up for ages now, and it feels like it's never going to cool down to just a little smoke...

Yeah, tonight is our big celebration, Dubrovnik Night. I have to host the opening games all by myself while my better half is busy enjoying some drinks with the group. But after that, we're heading out to live life... maybe grab five sliders or some burgers, or... well, you know. Just a small, low-key night. Basically: bread and circuses—and since we're short on the bread, at least we've got plenty of circus left.

Let them in!!! (Better them than anyone worse...!)

Seriously, just go on vacation already—get out of here! Though, honestly, it’s pretty overcast where I am right now... might even rain.

Jessica Grant56, do you even sleep?😁

I see you posting in the middle of the night, at the crack of dawn, all afternoon—the only time you’re ever missing is right before evening, so just admit it, that's when you're crashing, 😁

Richard Howard55 and I are total night owls, Henry Edwards33 is strictly a daytime person, and ruggedcyclist74 bounces between late nights and early mornings, but man, you've totally outdone us all...🤣

The only time you won't find me is in the morning—but that’s a habit I picked up about 40 years ago back when I was working as a DJ... (yeah, I know, I'm getting nostalgic there...) Plus, my other job can really only be done after hours, so once again, we're talking night shifts. But more importantly: when I started this whole grueling journey through mechanical engineering, electronics, and IT about 19 years ago—without having the slightest clue what I was getting myself into—I had to work through the night just to get some peace and quiet. I needed total silence to engage every single brain cell just to wrap my head around this stuff you guys do. See, in almost everything else I do, a millimeter is a millimeter, a volt is a volt, and a kilowatt is a kilowatt... but in accounting? Well, things are a bit "flexible"—you can do it this way, or maybe that way, or maybe it doesn't even matter... Once I finally figured that out, I became a complete night owl. And I stayed that way. Because once you shift your internal rhythm, it's incredibly hard to go back—it could easily happen to any of you, really. Sometimes, your mental capacity just doesn't hit its peak until much later in the day. So, just a word of warning: watch yourselves, ladies.

hahaha Dubo, you can clearly see how much you’ve worn out Henry Edwards33 😛

Look, I’m telling you this because I care, but when you look up and see nothing but gray clouds, please don't just mutter about how it's going to rain—instead, try saying, "Look, you can see the sun peeking through those clouds, and it'll be out in no time once they pass by." :-))

My glass is always half full, while yours seems to be perpetually half empty...
If you just shift your perspective, I promise the whole world starts looking a little brighter.

I’m fairly certain that APIS, Carol Price4, and especially Henry Edwards33 will all agree with my little sentiment here 🙂

Sending a greeting your way too, Jack Carter88, though it's probably a bit late for coffee...🙂 🤣
