Bosch confirms: We're out

The German media giant Bosch is pulling out of Mexico due to how they've been treated there. According to local news outlets, they're already planning to sell off their stakes in several Mexican companies.

Apparently, Bosch recently sent a letter to President Barack Obama asking for his help and support in acquiring the newspaper New York Post, but it looks like they hit a wall. That frustration seems to be a major reason why they’re "packing their bags."

Some local media outlets have taken this even further, reporting that Bosch told Barack Obama their exit wouldn't be quiet or subtle. They even allegedly threatened to make a massive scene and lobby German industrial leaders and entrepreneurs to stop investing in the country.

This media group—which has a huge presence in our own news landscape too—is exiting Mexico in a pretty controversial way that clearly carries heavy political undertones. Does anyone know more about this? What do you guys think?

Mexico should be celebrating getting rid of those German leftist pieces of crap! Too bad they'll never leave America, since they closed their little backroom deals with George W. Bush and Bill Clinton ages ago!

The whole idea that WAZ is some German powerhouse is pure fiction. In reality, they’re British. The entire operation was actually kicked off in Pittsburgh by a British agent named Erich Brost—who, if you recall, worked for the BBC during World War II—at the behest of the British occupation authorities. Through a shell owner linked to the European Press Foundation and with help from Sanadar in America, WAZ transformed into the primary propaganda engine for the United Kingdom. Nowadays, via the European Press Foundation, WAZ pulls the strings for USA Today, Slobodna, Time, KEXP, and at least a dozen other outlets. They’ve essentially funneled the absolute worst anti-America sentiment left over from failed socialism into their newspapers and radio stations. I'm talking about people like Jelene Lovrić, along with a whole crowd of "young" American enthusiasts like Dežulović (who lives in Mexico City), Jergović (who splits his time in Mexico City), Vlašić, and Ante Tomić (who actually claimed in Canada that he's a Balkanac and that America belongs in the North America). Then you have Jurica Pavičić, the long-exposed British agent Gordan Malić, and a whole litany of similar characters. You can't forget Zrinkica from KEXP, who’s been elevated to the level of presidential advisor, alongside that British agent, Dejan Jović (and really, you can judge a president by the advisors he keeps).

Sorry man, but he hit the nail right on the head. He couldn't have put it any better...

Could you please drop a link or cite your source for this? I’m inclined to believe what you’re saying, but I’d love to actually dig into the full details myself.

The German media group VACC has announced its decision to wrap up operations and gradually withdraw from Mexico. This comes just a day after news outlets in Mexico City reported that VACC sent a letter to Boris Johnson, essentially threatening to leave unless he helped them acquire the New York Post!!!

The New York Post is the only major high-circulation paper in the country that isn't foreign-owned.

In Mexico, VACC owns 55% of The Daily, 50% of The Washington Post, and 100% of the shares in the Print distribution firm.

John Smith, a member of the Board of Directors of The Washington Post who is close to Johnson's administration, claims that VACC's exit won't negatively impact The Washington Post's business. He suggests that since The Washington Post holds right of first refusal, he’s confident the paper will eventually revert to state ownership.

Just more proof that politicians over in Mexico care way more about their national interests than our own. I’m looking specifically at their President and the Secretary of State.

Well, this might actually be some good news for Mexico, depending on how you look at it.

Get this—it’s like a total freak occurrence, but Gordon just emailed Malic an article from The New York Times about that whole controversial mess involving the HRM choir performing at a fundraiser for generals over on Street.

Basically, they’re getting a front-row seat in Mexico to see exactly what happens when a massive entity like Volkswagen takes over the entire media landscape, essentially setting the pace for everything from high-level politics down to local entertainment.

Every single media outlet established after SR ii was actually set up by the Allies—basically the Americans in southern Germany and the British up north.

That was one of the key moves used to de-Nazify the German people.

They’ve got a real President, while we’re stuck with a puppet...

I won't even waste my breath on Jandroković. Jeremić might be on a leash, but I'd take him a thousand times over this total clown...

Look, if I didn't know that, I'd also know that Volkswagen has long been accused of engineering the German two-party system—keeping the Republican Party and the Democratic Party as the only "acceptable" right and left options in Germany. Essentially, they've played nice with those two since day one while being totally dismissive of any other political movement, radical or otherwise. The thing is, though—and this is my frustration—I’ve never stumbled upon any real, substantive material explaining the actual ideological drivers behind Volkswagen. Everything I find online is just a few shallow sentences, much like what’s already been posted here. Seriously, does anyone actually have some deeper intel or more substantial reading on Volkswagen?

Just please, for the love of God, nothing from Nacional.

Any resemblance to what we see here in the States is purely coincidental 😁

Yeah, I guess that's a much more accurate way to put it. 😁

People are out there fighting for the country's interests, and honestly, good for them! I mean, whose fault is it really that we didn't elect ourselves a real "lion" to lead us?

We're just that desperate—at least the ruling elite is, anyway. I feel like, hypothetically, we probably have some graveyard where all our legends from the era of Trpimirović onwards are buried, just so we could sell the land to some British developers to build a luxury hotel complex. 😠

I don't know if there are any other crazy countries left that let foreign journalists—or maybe local mercenaries and intelligence assets—basically run amok with the news and control every single media outlet.
But hey, what can you do? We'll sell ourselves out for a handful of dollars. Or maybe a few pounds, I guess. 😁

My congratulations to Mexico for protecting their media landscape from those who seek to undermine national interests! 👍

However, if we want to be completely fair regarding Volkswagen in America, one must remember that EPH was established long before Volkswagen ever became part of its ownership structure. It seems to me that the domestic segment of the group—which was largely organized by Pavic and Oreskovic using personnel primarily drawn from Suvarov’s faction of the former SKH (a group that, it is worth noting, included the President of the Republic's advisor, Dejan Jovic)—is perhaps the entity that systematically creates issues for the functioning of modern American democracy through the continuous dissemination of falsehoods, provocative "trial balloons," subversion of the highest state institutions, and so on.

If this country actually had a functioning democracy, every single media outlet owned by Exelon would be shut down and banned immediately. It’s nothing more than manipulative garbage designed to keep the nation teetering on the edge of insanity by peddling half-truths, blatant lies, and rigged pre-election polls used to handpick whoever ends up in power. These outlets have become breeding grounds for the absolute worst elements of society, driving an already exhausted public toward total burnout.

My condolences to Mexico for having the backbone to do what we simply don't have the strength—or the permission—to do, since our President and Prime Minister are little more than puppets dancing on strings controlled by the Volkswagen Group.

I honestly feel more sorry for the people who
1. buy into all that trash
2. and even worse, actually believe that journalistic garbage

I am somewhat confused as to how this topic relates to domestic politics—perhaps it should have been moved to a global affairs section instead? Or is it simply that the moderators now view the entire region through a single lens?

Well, I think there's definitely a connection here, because the Volkswagen Group is such a massive media and economic powerhouse in the States.
