Hmm? 😕

Christian Harris2 said:1) So what? Are you projecting your own self-perceptions onto other people?
2) I think you should at least try to have some faith if you intend to weigh in on religious debates later on.
3) Why don't you read books?

1. I get people by looking at how they aren't like me... "source" is just a word. It doesn't matter what we call it... what do you even call a person when they're acting completely natural?

2. I have beliefs... they just aren't religious. And where did I say I was against anything? Faith?

3. I don't have the time because of work..

4. Why are you asking all this? I'll answer you, fine... just ask me directly.. 🙂

I was wondering, if you happen to know, how much distance was actually between the vehicles at the moment they collided?

... I don't know, he seems suspicious to me... 🙂 ... unless there's some sort of virtual-genetic connection between him and a certain three-letter username starting with K?

Character-wise, I really wish I had more grit—that I could be braver, more level-headed, and maybe just a little less shy.

(And if we’re being completely honest, I wouldn't mind being taller and a bit more attractive, too 😳)

Well, it’s finally happened—Amtrak has officially become a household name 😁 which, if you think about it, was probably exactly what they were aiming for all along 🤣

As far as my physical appearance goes, I suppose if I could just wish away a few scars and some minor skin imperfections, that would be enough—just that, really...
Writing this out now, I’ve actually come to realize that the issue isn't quite as much about the surface level (at least, that's what I used to think), but more about what's going on internally—oh, how enlightened I am feeling right now 😍

Oh, absolutely...😁 and I'm getting those exact same vibes from him... especially if you take a quick look at his post count... mmm, yeah... it looks incredibly suspicious...😁

Haha... man, if you think this counts as a conversation... go right ahead. Be my guest. Give it everything you've got. Just don't go getting all sensitive on me. 👍

I'm good with myself... and I'm good with you. The real question is, are you actually happy with yourself?

The mod gave me this handle. I tried picking my own, but someone beat me to it. I guess that's just how it goes.

Names don't matter. They’re just letters. And honestly, letters don't do much for me.

It honestly makes me happy to see people actually satisfied, in every sense of the word. I guess I am right there with them.

This is what I’m trying to get through to people... your traits, your words, even how you look—none of that defines you. You aren't going to find any real happiness chasing that stuff. I guess it just doesn't matter.

Maybe it’s just your own consciousness making you realize that who you actually are isn't what people see on the outside, but what's going on inside. I guess.

Well, I see everyone here is pretty damn happy with themselves... so I guess I'm satisfied too.
I’m just trying to wrap my head around something. If you’re actually happy with how things are, how can you even want to change? I guess an answer isn't even necessary here...

I can't even deal with this right now. It's just too much. I guess you're saying:
Oh, hell yeah.😁 It feels way too obvious with him... I mean, if you actually look at his post count... mmm, yeah... pretty suspicious.😁

Oh, come on, you know exactly who I mean...😁you can't play coy now😉
Look, let’s just dive back into this topic or maybe pick up where we left off before🙄tell me, how does a truly healthy sense of self-love actually manifest itself?Where exactly is the line where it stops being self-care and starts turning into pure selfishness? What is the actual distinction between healthy self-regard, narcissism, and total egocentrism? Please, I really need you to define that for me.
Because some parts of this just aren't clicking for me... if I say I love myself, heaven forbid I say I absolutely adore myself, suddenly I'm labeled a narcissist; but if I admit I struggle with self-love, then apparently that's wrong too.
So, oh wise and brilliant one, please define what "normal" even looks like here.😁Or, if you're feeling generous, help me understand the balance between healthy self-love and genuine love for others...

Healthy self-love shows up when you love others as much as yourself... which seems impossible... and it's impossible if you're just looking at someone's ego... but if you look at their actual existence, it isn't even an issue... it takes practice to get there... obviously time is needed... the older you are, the more practice you need...

Dr. Wise Guy? 🙂 That's where the conversation ends. I'll explain why, just so I'm not being unfair to you..

You basically attacked my ego to feed yours... but I'm aware of my ego, so you can't hurt it... you aren't aware of yours... so talking to you is pointless... or rather, talking to your ego is... because I respect you... but I'm going to ignore your ego and won't engage with it...

Thanks... and I hope your ego doesn't take offense.. 🙂

Nooooo, I truly had no intention of elevating my ego over yours, but I called you Dr. Wise because that is how you presented yourself from the very start; you are here to help us, after all; therefore, I am listening.🙂 Perhaps you could set aside that ego of yours that is so desperately clinging to my little assumption. Because based on what you're saying, it sounds like we all have issues—either we love too much or we don't love enough. You, supposedly, have solved all of your own problems. I'm listening. How does one establish balance, and what would the definition of that actually be? And let's do this without that "love thy neighbor as thyself" bit😁 because if I wanted to hear that, I would be reading the Bible.🙄
And while we're on the subject, "love thy neighbor"—how on earth are you supposed to love someone you've never met in your life and feel absolutely zero emotional connection toward? This forum serves other purposes, and it isn't my intention to offend anyone, but how can I express my opinion without threatening your sensibilities? Because, I must emphasize, YOU are the one here to provide corrections, not me. You are here to guide us, to direct us... yet you are getting so incredibly defensive over a comment made by someone who is completely insignificant in your life.

I truly wish I were naturally more engaged with my surroundings so I wouldn't have to pretend everything is fine. Honestly, I'm just exhausted from constantly forcing myself to keep up and trying to maintain a faster metabolism.

I often find myself daydreaming about what it would be like to actually feel relaxed, cheerful, and genuinely social—to possess a sense of self-assurance and confidence that I clearly lack 😢. I wish I could finally conquer my eating disorder and stop chasing this relentless perfectionism that just ends up destroying me...
I wish I were someone who wouldn't be wounded by a stray word or a judging glance, someone who doesn't immediately spiral into the worst-case scenario. I’d love to be more optimistic, laid-back, spontaneous, and perhaps a bit more disciplined and organized. If only I weren't so plagued by anxiety, if only I had a partner, if only I felt more beautiful, or if I could just come to peace with the reality that I won't be everyone's cup of tea. And honestly, I wish I could sing—not just casually, but with a truly exceptional, soulful voice
.
And then there is the ultimate irony, which makes all of this feel somewhat absurd: the desire to simply accept myself as I am and learn how to actually love the person staring back in the mirror 😍
. So, I suppose that’s why I’m heading to see a psychiatrist; hopefully, there will be some tangible progress eventually (though I can already see it starting just now...)

I feel like the journey you take to build yourself up as an individual is actually what matters most when it comes to developing character.

I guess you can't truly realize how good something is until you've experienced just how bad things can get. I think the same applies to one's own character.

Well said..

🙂 I'm not part of any religion... nor do I care about them...

Your logic is flawed: you said you called him Dr. Wise because that's how he acted at the beginning..

🙂

Maybe ask yourself if there's actually any reason to call someone Dr. Wise in the first place?

What do you gain from that? 🙂 Absolutely nothing...

Now you're defending your ego regarding what was said... you say you didn't mean it... I get that... but you aren't realizing that in the moment you typed it, that *was* the intention... to lift yourself up...

If you'd realized there was no need for that kind of phrasing, we could have actually kept talking...

But instead, you're still busy protecting your ego over what was said... 🙂

You say this: YOU'RE the one here to fix things, not me

Fine, I'm the one fixing things... so I'll indulge your ego by letting you think that... and we'll end this conversation on peaceful terms and with mutual understanding.. 🙂

Best regards... though if you want to actually understand what I'm saying, you'll have to see me as an equal.. because that's how I see you.. 🙂
